Katie was a wonderful house/dog sitter for our two dogs. They were well cared for and loved while we were away. That was very evident when we came home to two happy and relaxed dogs. It was very clear that Katie spent a great deal of time with them. Such a plus! We really appreciated the updates/photos, and she was so kind to answer all my questions. This was the first time we used Rover. We were very apprehensive and had some trepidation prior to leaving. However, Katie far exceeded my expectations. We’s absolutely have Katie (if she would agree) watch our dogs again. Thank you, Katie! 🐶

About: I had a maltese puppy for 10 years from age 9 weeks onward and most recently had a shih tzu puppy that turned 1 on 5/28/25. In the oast I've had pets including hamsters, guinea pigs, chickens, and fish of my own. I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so your pup will get lots of attention and care throughout the day. Here's what a typical day looks like when your dog is with me: 🐾 Morning (7am–10am): Potty break, breakfast, and a light walk or play session 🐾 Midday (11am–2pm): Walks, potty breaks, enrichment games, or just relaxing cuddle time 🐾 Afternoon (3pm–6pm): Another walk or active playtime in a safe, calm environment 🐾 Evening (7pm–9pm): Dinner, a final potty break, and winding down for the night I'm available for: ✅ Drop-in visits ✅ Dog walking ✅ Puppy care Weekend and holiday availability included! I’m happy to accommodate special routines, medications, or specific instructions your dog needs to feel comfortable and loved. When you trust me to care for your dog, I show up with love, respect, and attention to detail — all in the comfort of your dog’s familiar surroundings. 🐶 In-Home Peace of Mind: I care for pets in their own homes, where they feel most secure. Whether I’m dropping in for a quick visit, taking your pup for a walk, or staying overnight, I follow your routine closely to minimize stress and keep your dog calm and happy. 🦴 Personalized, Gentle Care: I specialize in small breeds and have over 10 years of experience. From meal schedules and potty routines to medication or calming techniques, I provide care tailored to your dog’s specific needs. 🚶🏽‍♀️ Safe & Engaging Walks: Walks are done one-on-one in familiar areas, with close attention to your pet’s energy level, leash behavior, and comfort. I avoid crowded dog parks or risky environments to keep your dog safe. 📝 Trustworthy & Transparent: I communicate clearly, provide updates, and send photos during every visit. You’ll always know how your pet is doing, whether I’m there for 20 minutes or staying the night. Your pet stays safe, your home is respected, and you can relax knowing your furry family member is in loving, responsible hands.

Maya took great care of our senior dog and lively teenage pup for a weekend! They can be a handful together and she did great with them. We also gave her detailed information on how to care for them, and she followed them really well and kept our babies both safe and loved. We are very thankful for her help.

Alex was great! He watched or puppy for us while I had to get into the office. At the meet and greet he was very patient and Miles warmed up to him immediately. During the house sit Alex took him for a walk and sent plenty of photo updates. Our puppy seemed to love him and have a great time.

About: I have hands-on experience working on two different farms and Hamden CT’s brooksvale park (all throughout high school) , where I cared for a wide variety of animals, including everything from dogs&cats - cows & sheep . I’ve kept close contact with multiple repeat costumers I’ve built lasting friendships with house sitting/dog walking for. These experiences taught me how to read animal behavior, stay patient, and provide attentive care tailored to each pet’s needs. In addition to pet and house sitting for friends and family, I grew up with four pit bulls in the house and learned how to care for them as pups aswell as in their old age. I Have had smaller pets like hamsters and guinea pigs and currently have my own small dog with a big personality I love very much (side note I can take professional photos of your dog if you’d like) I recently graduated from art school(studying fashion design) and am currently looking for work related to my degree. In the meantime, dog/house sitting and walking fits into my open schedule I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re with me. I stay attentive to feeding schedules, fresh water, walks, exercise, playtime, and plenty of affection (including belly rubs and treats if allowed!). I’m also happy to accommodate any special routines, medications, or care instructions to make your pet feel at home

Archie was an amazing cat sitter for my two babies!! This is my first time using a pet sitter for my cats. I have a senior girl who was just recently diagnosed with IBD and requires a special diet and daily meds, and a rambunctious kitten who will do his darndest to be the cutest troublemaker you’ve ever met. Archie was amazing to work with, has extensive experience working with cats, and made me and my partner feel at ease! If you are looking for someone to watch over your feline friends, Archie is the best! I will definitely use them for future bookings.

We had to leave our goldendoodle for three days while out of state. She had not been left alone since being boarded at our vet 4 years ago, so we had concerns. Heather was wonderful! She came to our house twice before we left to learn our dog's habits and become familiar with her. Heather stayed at our home during our time away. She followed our dog's schedule to perfection (feeding time, potty time, nap time, bed time, play time, etc.). The day after our return, our dog was looking around for Heather. Heather also updated us regularly, including photos. I would recommend her highly, and hope to use her again.

We want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Heather for taking great of our pet yorkie Winnie while we were away. Winnie is 4.5 years old and we have never left him before, so finding the right person was very important to us. We wanted an experienced person who was willing to stay in our home for two weeks to care for Winnie. In Heather we found someone who is experienced, caring, consistently communicates and sends pictures. Heather kept us informed and responded to all our messages very quickly. That was greatly appreciated. It’s clear that Winnie loved having Heather take care of him. We came home to a happy pup and were impressed how clean our house was. We appreciate Heather’s attention, patience and support, as well as her willingness to stay in our home for two weeks. Everything was in perfect shape when we returned. It gave us peace of mind knowing Winnie was in experienced, capable and caring hands. Heather also went beyond just caring for Winnie by doing a variety of things around our house, including bringing in our mail daily. Heather did a great job.

I am so glad I found Dahn to take care of my pups. I’ll say she is fabulous, my pups welcomed her as part of our family, she is very charismatic, my pups felt all good vibes about her. I can’t thank her enough for coming over for a meet and greet before the booking to make sure my pups and I felt comfortable. As a dog mom I make sure a millions times the person taking care of them is trustworthy and She is!!. Definitely book with her. She sent me lots of pictures, and she even took the time to read to them to make them feel calm and they loved it! I’ll definitely take her advice of reading to them. She is very sweet and kind my pups just loved her very much. I’ll absolutely book with her again. You won’t regret leaving your pups in such a good hands. Thank you so much again Dahn.

About: Caring for animals has been a constant part of my life. I grew up in a home that always had two dogs at a time, and before moving out, my family had raised six wonderful dogs together. From energetic pups to older companions, I’ve experienced the full range of what it means to care for dogs through different stages of life. I currently share my home with two special-needs cats, which has taught me patience, attentiveness, and the importance of understanding each animal’s unique personality and needs. Managing medications, monitoring behavior changes, and creating a calm, safe environment are all things I take seriously. My primary goal when caring for your pet is simple: I want them to feel happy, secure, and relaxed while you’re away. I also know how important peace of mind is for owners. I’m communicative, reliable, and happy to provide updates so you can feel confident your pet is safe and cared for. I treat every animal with gentleness, respect, and the kind of attention I would want for my own pets. I work remotely in IT for a nonprofit organization, which gives me a very flexible weekday schedule. Because I work from home, I’m able to provide consistent supervision, regular potty breaks, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I genuinely enjoy having some furry company during the week. Whether that means a midday walk to break up my workday or a fuzzy companion nearby while I’m at my desk. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I’m happy to structure my schedule around walks, feeding times, medication needs, or check-ins. Your pet won’t be left alone for long stretches, and you can expect consistent updates while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect your routines and instructions carefully. I follow feeding schedules, medication needs, walking routines, and house rules closely so your pet’s world feels as consistent and familiar as possible while you’re away. I also provide regular updates so you can feel confident everything is going smoothly. If your pet stays in my home, their comfort and safety are my top priorities. They will have their own dedicated space in my finished basement office that is clean, hazard-free, and separate from my cats. This allows visiting pets to relax without feeling overwhelmed, and ensures everyone stays safe and stress-free. The space includes a comfortable couch just for them, plenty of room to stretch out, and a calm environment away from household noise. I’m home during the day, so they’ll receive regular supervision, potty breaks, playtime, and attention, balanced with quiet time to rest.

Jessica did a great job with our dog while we were away two nights. Our dog can be fussy, but Jessica was great with her and was also able to give our dog her medication, which is not always easy. She also left the house and yard in great condition. We definitely plan to use Jessica again!

About: I’ve had cats since I was 13 and have many years of hands-on experience caring for cats with different personalities and needs. I was able to help an older rescue cat become comfortable and affectionate over time, which taught me patience and how to build trust with shy or nervous cats. I currently have a tortie of my own, so I understand how important routines, playtime, and a calm environment are. I treat every cat like my own and make sure they feel safe, cared for, and loved while you’re away. I work full-time as a paraprofessional from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on weekdays and am currently earning my master’s degree in elementary education. I’m available for pet care visits in the late afternoons and evenings after 4:30 PM, as well as weekends and school breaks. For cat sitting, I’m happy to stay for extended visits and can sit with your cat while I complete my schoolwork so they have calm companionship and supervision while you’re away. My schedule is consistent and dependable, and I always prioritize keeping pets comfortable and on their normal routine. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make sure to follow their normal routines closely so they feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. I provide feeding, litter box care, playtime, and calm companionship during visits. As a paraprofessional and graduate student in elementary education, I’m responsible, patient, and attentive to details and instructions. I also communicate regularly with updates so owners feel confident their pets are safe, cared for, and relaxed.

About: While I'm newer to formal pet sitting, I've cared for dogs and cats for family friends and neighbors so your pet won't be my first! I'm a natural with animals, patient, and attentive to each pet's personality. I love dog walking (it's my favorite way to get cardio in!), so your dog will always get an enthusiastic, energetic walker. Based in the New Haven area for the summer and completely available, your pet will get my full, undivided attention! Pet care fits seamlessly into my life! My work schedule is completely flexibility-based: I work at a restaurant where I set my own availability, and my research work is fully remote with no fixed hours. That means I can genuinely shape my day around your pet's needs rather than squeezing them in between commitments. Whether it's a midday walk, morning feeding, or overnight stay, I can make it work. Your pet's routine always comes first! When I'm in a client's home, I treat it with the same respect I'd want for my own. I'm a naturally neat and organized person, so you'll never come home to a mess! I follow care instructions to the letter because I'm very detail-oriented and deliberate, so nothing gets missed or forgotten. I also know how much pet parents worry when they're away, so I stay highly responsive to messages and love sending update photos so you always know your pet is happy and thriving. Communication and trust are everything to me!

Ian's first housesitting with Carson went very well. He was dedicated to Carson's health and safety especially since there were unexpected thunderstorms. Ian comforted Carson throughout the day and night with lots of care, hugs and belly rubs. Ian was in communication each day and sent pictures as well. Carson had an added play date with Hailey too. Ian was respectful in our home and left it clean. All great qualities when someone is caring for your pet and staying in your home.

Emily has been an outstanding cat-sitter (twice now) for my two boys. She's responsible, communicative, and attentive to the cats' needs. One of my cats is usually pretty timid with strangers, but he warmed up to her right away. She sent me daily messages, pictures, and videos of my boys, which is incredibly reassuring when I'm away from them. Emily is my first choice for future cat-sitting needs!
