About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life and have loved every minute of their companionship. When I went to college I adopted two kittens and since then have gotten a third. I have dog sat for a week at a time; providing detailed care and a friendly demeanor that leaves pets feeling at ease. I am experienced with cats and dogs of all ages. I own 3 cats ranging in age from 1 to 14. I am familiar with litter box training as well as medication administration within food. I am a passionate pet caregiver and have a huge heart that welcomes pets of all kinds. I work in the school systems therefore I am off for the summer! Starting July 27th I am available full time! I am only away August 6-9. I treat all pets with kindness, respect and patience. Animals are my true joy in life and I absolutely love spending time with them. I pledge to treat your pets with the same love I show my own!
About: What Sets me Apart? Love, Experience, and Trust. I'm just not a dog walker — I'm a lifelong animal lovers with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. We know how important it is to find someone you can truly trust when you can’t be there. What makes me different is simple: I lead with care. I don’t rush through walks or treat this like a numbers game. Every dog I work with gets our full attention, patience, and affection — because that’s what they deserve. I take the time to learn your dog’s routines, quirks, and comfort zones. Whether they’re energetic and playful or shy and sensitive, I adjust to their needs and make sure they feel safe, understood, and happy while you’re away. This isn’t just a service — it’s a relationship built on trust, reliability, and compassion. Because when you leave your dog with someone, you’re not just handing over a leash — you’re handing over peace of mind. And I take that seriously. Hi there! I’m available for pet sitting after 3:30 PM on weekdays and open on weekends. I work full-time during the day but make your pet’s care a top priority when I’m off. If you’re looking for reliable, compassionate care in the afternoons or weekends, I’d love to help! Caring for pets—whether in my home or a client’s—is something I take to heart. Every pet is unique, so I tailor my care based on their routine, needs, and personality. In my home, I provide a calm, clean, and loving environment with plenty of attention, play, and rest. In a client’s home, I follow their established routine as closely as possible, keeping pets comfortable and stress-free in their familiar space. My focus is always on making sure each pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for, just like family.
“Second time working with Alex. She took great care of our four cats and was accommodating to our last minute request. Our cats were healthy and calm when we got home. Thanks, Alex!”

“Hannah was so patient and wonderful with our dog, Daisy, who has become more anxious around new people as she has gotten older. Hannah went above and beyond to make Daisy comfortable and ensure she got a safe walk. We would definitely use her again for dog walks or dogsitting!”

“Heather was AMAZING with my 2 puppies! I have never left them alone at home before overnight and after meeting Heather I knew they would be well taken care of! Heather went above and beyond with updates and pictures. I will definitely schedule with Heather again, and HIGHLY RECOMMEND her services! Saje and Jesa will her visits for sure! :)”

“Kacie was so good with our dog, George who has quite a bit of anxiety. She was calm and patient with him and very attentive to his needs. She went above and beyond and was extremely communicative, timely and thorough!”

About: My first “job” was dog sitting when I was in first grade. I included snuggling them every night in my promise to owners, and to this day nothing has changed. I work at the children’s hospital as a pediatric audiology extern from 7:30 am-6 pm every day. I would love to dog walk on weekday evenings and I am available to pet sit and dog walk on weekends. Pets’ safety is always the number one priority. With me, your pet will never be unattended or in dangerous situations. I also value other people’s space and home.
About: Hi, I’m Steve — a lifelong animal lover who has been caring for pets for neighbors, friends, and family for as long as I can remember. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. When I was younger, I volunteered at Roaring Brook Nature Center, where I helped care for everything from snakes and lizards to owls, possums, ferrets, and chinchillas. As I got older, my passion for animals took me even farther — all the way to a wildlife preserve in South Africa, where I spent time helping with game drives, tracking wildlife, and learning just how important compassionate, attentive care is for every living creature. Recently, I was laid off after dealing with a back injury, and I decided it was finally time to return to what brings me happiness: being around animals and helping people feel confident their pets are safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m patient, gentle, reliable, and I treat every animal like they’re my own. Whether your pet needs walks, attention, playtime, or just someone calm and caring to keep them company, I’m here to help and to make sure they feel secure and happy. I’d love the chance to care for your furry family member. I was recently laid off due to ongoing spine problems. My doctor said that keeping mobile is the best thing for me right now, so I figured that spending my time around animals and walking outdoors is a great option for me to continue healing and to have a source of income. I will focus nearly all of my time towards this work as I am unemployed at the moment. I am a big believer in gaining the trust of your pet first. So a slow approach and getting down on their level to allow them to smell and gain trust is important to me. I also love to communicate with animals in a high pitch baby voice as to not be intimidating. I am quite a large man so I feel the baby voice helps with the more skiddish of animals. Sometimes a stern voice may be needed needed given the situation, but almost never used. Your pets will get the exact same love and affection that my pets get every day because they deserve nothing but love.

“Jaqueline did an amazing job watching our cat, Juniper! I was nervous to leave Juniper while we were on vacation but Jaqueline made me feel so calm and confident. I got adorable pictures everyday and an update. Jaqueline was wonderful to work with and took great care of our little Juniper!”

“Stephanie was a fantastic sitter -- this is our second time booking her and we are so pleased we have found someone responsible and caring to watch our kitty while we were away. Big plus that Stephanie was able to drop in during the July 4th holiday. Our kitty needs meds and she followed the instructions we left with no problems at all. Our kitty was happy to see her -- she was friendly, polite, and just an all around great sitter. Highly recommend!”

“Lauren has been so reliable and works so well with my girls. I couldn’t recommend her enough. Got into a jam and Lauren came through and helped me out so much. I’ve been using her for a while now and my girls and I both appreciate her very much!”

About: I’ve grown up with all types of animals my entire life. From dogs and cats to birdies and bunnies, I love them all! I have been blessed to share life with my yorkie-poo for the past 14 years. I’ve had to learn how to give him daily oral medications, eye drops and ear drops to keep him healthy and lively! I’d give the same love, care and attention to your fur babies as well! I am a school bus driver so from the hours of 6-10:30am and 1:30-4:30pm I am unavailable. However, I am quick to respond to any availability scheduling questions you make have! I currently live in a house with a brick-fenced in yard with 1 social senior pup (who doesn’t mind to be crated if need be) however I would love to care for your pet wherever they feel comfortable!
“Emily makes Cozmo so comfortable and happy, he smiles around her. He usually only shows that big smile after he does his favorite thing, which is catching a frisbee. She is responsible, reliable, and answers right away when you check in with her. She kept his water dish full and even made him more fresh broccoli, ready for his future meals when I returned. I would highly recommend her and have already referred her to my friends.”

About: I have 2 cats of my own - Layla & Mimi! They both have completely different personalities. I’ve been a cat sitter for 4 years now and I love it! Every kitty has their own little attitude and personality that makes them unique. It’s the best meeting new kitties and becoming that person their parents can call to keep on eye on them 🐱🥰 I’m currently working full-time from 9-5pm on weekdays. I’m available after 5pm on weekdays and before 8:30 (location dependent). I am available anytime on weekends. My home is not equipped - it’s an apartment. I have no problem following any/all rules. The goal is to maintain the best, safest environment for your pet!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Branford
Claudia was flexible about scheduling and met with me due to a last minute change in my travel plans wherein I could not take my dog with me. That in itself was a game changer. An added bonus was that my dog bonded with her almost instantly. My girl is usually very protective of our home but Claudia was great with her. Even my cat, who is extremely timid and usually hides until new people are gone, came out to check Claudia out which speaks volumes about her caring connection with animals. Claudia sent me wonderful photos daily of her outings with my dog, who looked very happy, giving me such peace of mind. Claudia is a very good communicator, making sure of my return date, where to leave the keys, and feeding schedules. She is trustworthy and all was in order when I returned. I was so pleased with her service.

Maria took excellent care of my dog, Sully! She was prompt, has excellent communication skills, asked all the important questions, is clearly very knowledgeable about pets, immediately developed a great rapport with Sully and did a great job! We will definitely ask her to take care of Sully again. Thanks, Maria!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
