“Brittany is amazing! She takes such wonderful care of our dog 💕. She sends lots of photos and updates and gives him a little treat bag at the end of his stay. We look forward to Seamus visiting her and her family again!”

“Will was wonderful. He was extremely flexible with meet and greet, drop off, and pick up times. He was helpful at drop off with handling of dogs and supplies. He provided pictures of stay too. All around pleasant and professional.”

About: I have worked at a highly notable dog daycare/overnight boarding facility for three years in the past and continue to search for work with dogs and cats as I have a passion for caring for animals. I love all animals and have been responsible for walking, feeding and bathing my friends, and family members dogs. I am available on Weekdays and most Weekends. Check my schedule for my up to date availability. I have incorporated time into my schedule to meet you and your pets needs. I am a current law student! I have had cats and dogs my whole life! I currently have a 2 year old Tuxedo cat named Harley who is friendly and loves all animals.
“Alaina and Jake were amazing! Kept in touch with me and sent me pictures of my pup while they had her! 100% would trust them with any of my pets! Don’t hesitate to use them!”

“Jourdyn was kind and nice with my dog (Bianca), they were together for 2 weeks, I am sure Bianca enjoyed her stay. Jourdyn sent me updates everyday. Bianca was in good mood after I picked her up. Definetly”

“Monique took care of our pup during an extended stay while we were out of the country, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Since it was our first time using Rover, we were understandably a little nervous, but Monique immediately put us at ease with her communication and attention to detail. Her home was very well set up for dogs, with a secure fenced-in yard, a great deck area, and thoughtful safety measures inside to make sure our pup stayed safe and comfortable. She was extremely responsive throughout the stay and consistently sent updates, pictures, and videos, which gave us a lot of peace of mind while we were away. Most importantly, our pup came home happy, healthy, and clearly well cared for. We would absolutely trust Monique again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter. Thank you again, Monique!”

“We had a great experience with Kate! Our dog, Sampson, stayed in her home and was very well cared for. Communication was easy and consistent, and we felt completely comfortable knowing our pup was in good hands. Sampson is pretty easygoing, but it was clear he was treated with attention and kindness. We will definitely book with them again.”

“This is the second time we have used Anthony and Monique and will continue to. Each day, we received a photo or video of Lexi running and playing, which made us feel at ease. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!”

About: I love my dogs. I have taken care of my dogs . I give baths and play with them and take them to walks. They are family to me. I’m very flexible. My child are 13 and 14 years old. I have a lot of time in the day to play with dogs inside and outside. I have a quiet neighbor and safe home. I have fully fenced in yard, Dogs have enough space to run and play. And would be very safe.

About: I’ve always had pets growing up. Over the past 20 years I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, cats, rabbits, turtles, snakes, and hamsters. I love animals more than most humans. My sister is also a vet which is super handy to have. I currently work from home so I can be present and then I have down time I can play and tend to my furry house guest. I have a room for my dogs with a very bring crate, beds and toys. When I have furry guests I can always alternate my dogs in the room or the furry guest into that room. They could also wonder around the apartment as well. My building complex also has a dog park which is nice to run around and play.
“Arlene was so sweet when we met and my pup, Kiara, immediately fell in love with her. She took such great care & made sure to send me pics and videos throughout the day. Will definitely book again!”

“Anne-Marie did an amazing job watching my dog, Ralph, for the weekend! She kept me updated throughout and made Ralph feel right at home—letting him snuggle on the couch and even sleep in bed with her. Ralph came home happy, relaxed, and properly tuckered out. Highly recommend her!”

“Mikayla and Justin were incredible! They took such great care of my GSP Goose and sent very detailed and organized updates on how he was doing and made sure to get him an ample amount of exercise everyday. He looked so happy! Also they were extremely understanding and flexible when I had to pick him up a little late due to my return flight getting delayed. Will definitely be using them again!”

“Ashley did a wonderful job taking care of our 9 month old puppy for the weekend! She was very responsive and did a great job of sending updates and pictures, putting my mind at ease while being away. Would love to book her again.”

“Luz was absolutely AMAZING! Not only did she take my booking last minute but she constantly sent me updates and from the moment you meet her you can tell she is genuine. She will love your pet like her own. 10000% recommend her!!!!”

“Andrea was super nice and managed to accomodate our last-minute Christmas booking. She kept us updated with lots of photos and videos, and our dogs looked quite happy and relaxed. Her house has a fenced-in area that they loved to play in. Most impressive of all, though, was that Andrea let the dogs into her bedroom (they are used to sleeping next to us), on Christmas no less. Our dogs seemed in great shape when we picked them up after their 3 day stay. She seems to be a very caring and careful dog sitter. We would have no hesitation in our leaving our dogs with her again. Thanks!”
“We left our Bernese Mountain Dog with Kara for a week and a half and had so much peace of mind knowing he was being loved as much as we love him. Kara was great and sent us many pictures and updates throughout our time away. I have to say, our doggie looked like he was smiling in all of the pictures...I was afraid he wouldn't want to come home :) I highly recommend Kara to love your pets in your absence!”

“Davon was amazing. I outreached very impromptu and he was available for a meet and greet with Arya. ( which went well. We reviewed the basics of her care and he made sure to get a full understanding of what is needed to make Aryas stay as comfortable as possible) drop off was nice. He has spacious living accommodations. What stood out is his willingness to work with Arya being that she is a Bully. There are a many false conceptions about this breed. With his family background working with bully’s and pitbull, and his love for animals in general, I had no concerns that Arya was in good care. During her overnight visit, he provided checks up and sent pictures for reassurance. He also introduced Arya to family and friends ( which I love ) being that she is not around other dogs or people, helping her socialize. Picking Arya up was easy. All items returned and she was happy ! I previously boarded her , and when picking her up she was distant, had scratches and limped !!! All in all, 5 stars for Devon. I recommend and will use him again. 🐾💕”

Karen was fantastic with our two dogs. We needed to board them unexpectedly, with very little notice. She responded quickly and was able to take them and was even able to extend the stay when we needed more time. She sent frequent updates and photos. Our dogs looked happy the whole time. We have one dog who has anxiety and she looked so comfortable with Karen. She definitely went above and beyond to ensure they were well taken care of. Highly recommend her and would use her again in the future.

Lori took such wonderful care of my dog, Sonny, during his two-night stay! I was so happy with the care and attention she gave him. She kept me updated, and it was clear that Sonny was comfortable and well cared for the entire time. When I picked him up, he seemed happy, relaxed, and right at home. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I would absolutely book with Lori again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter!

I would absolutely recommend Alaina and Jake as your dog sitter. They took the best care of our dog while in their care. He went on plenty of walks, outside fun time and plenty of snuggles throughout his stay. They communicate with you the whole time. We had such peace of mind knowing our pup was in great hands. I think our dog, Larry, was actually a little sad leaving them! We highly recommend Alaina and Jake when looking for the best sitter for your pup.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
