“I have a high energy 3 month old Chihuahua Daschund mix! Enrique was kind and patient in helping me through a 1st time experience! He provided a clean and tidy room! He walked and handled meal time smoothly! He would also send me a photo daily! I highly recommend and would use his service again! Job well done! Thanks to Enrique, I appreciate you! 😘”

“Robin is always so wonderful with our dog, Adelaide. She does regular drop in visits with her so when we need boarding services, Robin is always our first choice! She shows our dog so much care, attention and love.”

About: I have been care for my family dog's since 5 years old, I have walked and bath dogs and perivously own cats and taken care of them before. I work part time and also currently in college, I am available after 5 pm on the weekends and I am available all summer as I am back from school. I would care up on the pets frequently and note any unusual behavior to ask the client if that should help a concern or not. I would also walk and provide the meals for pet as needed during my free time. I personally don't have a residence in my area to house pets, but in a client home I would make sure they have the required meal and walk them as requested by the client. If the service is available I'm will the perform the same duties I would in client house and make changes based on client's request
“Elizabeth is awesome! She kept me updated the whole week. Even went above and beyond to make sure my dog was eating everyday. Her place is nice and spacious for play time - I’m sure my dog enjoyed his time there ? highly recommend!”

“Estelle took excellent care of Frannie for the weekend. She was part of the family and I felt reassured and comfortable she was well taken care of and they enjoyed having her there. It is so nice to be able to leave town and not have to worry about your pet. Thank you, Estelle and family!”

“Ashley was extremely accommodating and understanding with our dog Oliver during our family trip out of town. She was flexible with her time and made herself available for our erratic schedule. Oliver was well taken care of and I would definitely use Ashley again and recommend for future dog boarding.”

“Wendy was amazing with my baby my dog came home very happy had no issues extremely accommodating and understanding this was very last minute due to my circumstances and she took my baby in no problem very happy with my choice would recommend her a million times over 🐶🩷”

“I had a great experience with Mecheal. I left my 10-month-old Aussie with her for a week, and I was nervous about leaving him with someone new. She took excellent care of my dog. She sent me pictures and updates every day, which really helped ease my worries. It was clear that my pup was happy and well taken care of. I highly recommend her as a dog sitter. Thank you for taking such good care of my baby! Will definitely use her again”

“We had a wonderful experience with Karen! Before confirming the booking, she invited us for a meet and greet at her place, which has a spacious and comfortable room just for boarding dogs. One of the main reasons we chose her is that she doesn’t board dogs from different families at the same time, and her own dogs don’t interact with guests—something that really mattered to us since our 8-month-old German Shepherd was boarding for the very first time. Karen took careful notes, asked lots of thoughtful questions, and made sure to follow our dog’s usual routine. During our two-day trip, she sent frequent photo updates that gave us so much peace of mind. Our puppy was clearly comfortable and relaxed around her. We’ll definitely book with Karen again in the future!”

“This was our first time using a Rover/boarding our 9-year-old rescue dog and Brittany did such a good job at giving her space the space she needed, making her comfortable, and sending us plenty of updates. Would absolutely recommend her and plan on booking with her again!”

“Luz was absolutely AMAZING! Not only did she take my booking last minute but she constantly sent me updates and from the moment you meet her you can tell she is genuine. She will love your pet like her own. 10000% recommend her!!!!”

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life - my dog, Yogi, was truly my heart. He was handicapped and became very sick starting at the young age of 4. At that time, I was told he would not live long and was advised to consider euthanasia. Instead, I chose to care for him and support him through his illness, and he went on to live a full and happy life until age 12.5. Caring for a dog with special needs taught me patience, attentiveness, and how to recognize even subtle changes in behavior, comfort, or health. Because of that experience, I am especially comfortable caring for senior dogs, dogs with medical needs, or dogs who may require extra patience and compassion. I have two sons (ages 5 and 10) who are gentle, respectful, and have grown up around animals. We also have two cats, ages 3 and 1, who are very accustomed to a calm home environment. I love dogs deeply, but after losing Yogi, I haven’t been ready to get another of my own - so I figured Rover would be the next best thing until that time comes, because caring for others’ dogs is incredibly meaningful to me. I work fully remote, so I’m home all day and able to give your dog plenty of attention, walks, and outdoor time whenever they need it. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away! I also work fully remote, which allows me to provide consistent supervision, companionship, and frequent walks or outdoor breaks throughout the day. Your dog will not be left alone for long periods and will receive plenty of attention, care, and affection. My goal is always to make your dog feel safe, comfortable, and loved - just like family! I work fully from home, so I’m here throughout the day and able to give pets plenty of attention, supervision, and outdoor time. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to easily accommodate walks, feeding routines, and whatever each dog needs to feel comfortable and cared for! We live in a great, quiet neighborhood with a large front yard and a fully fenced-in backyard, which is perfect for safe outdoor time and play. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine, and I truly enjoy having dogs around and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. I care for every pet as if they were my own and make sure to follow their usual routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and secure. In my home, pets have a safe, calm environment with plenty of supervision since I work fully remote. They’ll have access to a fully fenced-in backyard for safe outdoor time, along with regular walks, playtime, and lots of attention and affection. I’m also happy to accommodate any specific needs, including feeding schedules, medications, or crate routines. My priority is always making sure pets feel safe, loved, and stress-free while maintaining their normal routine as much as possible!
“Adriana updated me everyday also sent pictures on how my puppy was doing. I am very pleased with how they took care of my puppy. I will be using their services again whenever I need someone to care for my dog.”

“Jill and Sean were super kind and accommodating with my old doggie. He came home happy and they were able to be flexible when my schedule shifted. Thanks for taking good care of Bugsy.”

“Very good communication, Laura was so good at keeping me updated about my pup, booking last minute and adjusting times. I struggle with letting others watch my dog but he seemed like he had fun and I appreciated the videos and the pictures.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
