About: I’ve taken care of many pets in the past. I also have a long time favorite customer that i continually go back to for visits. I go to Nova Community College full time and work part time as an RBT (registered behavior technician) with autistic children. I own 3 dogs of my own at the current moment, so taking care of them is part of my daily routine. Anything I can do. I have a fenced in backyard at my home and i let my dogs walk freely. I’m open to any accommodations needed for dogs +cats.

About: I’ve taken care of the family dog my entire life and I’ve been a dog owner for 15 years. I’ve trained and raised a St Bernard, a Great Pyrenees, a Westie, and our currently beloved lab-mix, Turnip! My husband, Adam, shares this account and helps us be more flexible with your care needs. He is home from work by 2pm during the week and can pop out to visit/walk your pup during the day or we can both come by in the evenings for a visit/walk! We moved from Rosslyn and I know how hard it can be to find a sitter with a nice fenced yard and a friendly pup for your dog to play with while you’re gone, so we’re looking to supply that now that we’re in Fairfax City! I work M-F out of the home but Adam is home by 2pm on weekdays so he’s available for drop-in visits/walks during the week days if needed. We are both available for drop-in/walks weeknight evenings! We have a fenced yard and an overly friendly lab mix, Turnip, to keep your dog company. I know what it’s like to have a routine for your dog and we’re happy to follow any care instructions you provide!
About: I have over 6 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of different breeds and sizes, including English Bulldogs, Shih Tzus, Weimaraners, and Pekingese. Since they were puppies, I have been responsible for their daily care, basic training, and socialization. I have successfully taught house training, basic commands, and a variety of simple tricks using patience and positive reinforcement. I currently have two Shih Tzus, a cat and fish. I truly enjoy providing pets with a safe, loving, and attentive environment. I currently work in the mornings, which gives me plenty of free time in the afternoons and evenings to care for your furry friends and give them all the love and attention they deserve! I’m a cheerful, responsible, patient, and punctual person who genuinely enjoys spending time with animals. I’m committed to providing reliable, loving care and making sure every pet feels safe, happy, and comfortable while in my care.
About: I provide calm, patient, and dependable care for dogs who feel comfortable in a quiet environment. I have experience caring for senior dogs, shy, anxious dogs, and dogs recovering from illness or surgery who need extra attention and a slower pace. I'm happy to follow your dog's routine closely, including medicatons, feeding schedules, gentle walks, and plenty of rest and affection. Every dog deserves to feel safe, and cared for while their family is away, and I strive to make their time with me as stress-free and comfortable as possible. After I drop my kid off at summer school each morning, I have plenty of time to give your pet my full attention. I'm available for walks and drop-in visits between 9:30 AM and 2:00 PM. I understand that every pet has unique needs and routines, and I work hard to make them feel safe and comfortable while you're away. I'm happy to follow detailed care instructions, including feeding schedules, medications, and any special accomodations your pet requires. Whether your dog prefers a quiet walk, gentle companionship, or simply a familiar routine, I'll provide patient, attentive care and keep you updated with photos and messages throughout each visit.
“Gabriella is just wonderful. She’s absolutely professional in every way, but is also very warm, flexible and funny. She took great care of my two cats while I was away and was able to add a visit when my travel plans changed. Thank you Gabriella. I hope you will be able to help me out again in the future with Buttercup and Bailey.”

About: I grew up around pets and have always been passionate about caring for animals of every kind. I have experience with senior care from my own experience with my past pets. I have also worked at a doggy daycare, and took care of many different kinds of dogs who all have different needs. I pride myself on my education in applied behavior analysis, which comes in handy for pups who are still being trained. I also have experience with handling and caring for rodents (including administering medicine). I do not have any current obligations so I am available to care for your pet whenever you may need. Sunday through Friday past 8 am. Happy to provide the care your pet needs and follow a routine your pet is most comfortable with. I am happy to learn what is normal for your pets as I come into their environment to care for them. I have good attention to detail and strive to do the best in all of my work. Naturally, I want to give your pets the best care as you would give them.

About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was 10 years old and have experience with dogs, cats, and many other types of pets. I’m a trusted dog and cat sitter in my neighborhood, and many of my clients come through referrals. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always strive to provide safe, reliable, and loving care. Pet care is a part of my everyday life! I have three dogs and a turtle of my own, and I also regularly care for my neighbors’ pets. I’m flexible with my schedule and am happy to work around your needs whenever possible. I always make sure to follow any special instructions or routines you have for your pet so they receive the best possible care. I regularly walk dogs (and even the occasional cat!) and know how to create a safe, fun, and comfortable environment. My goal is to make sure your pet is happy while giving you peace of mind that they’re in good hands.
“Misa was able to help us out last minute when we really needed it! She is very flexible and following all the instructions we had given her. I’d definitely recommend she is great!😄”

“Alex took such great care of Nellie, sending updates & photos and going above and beyond snuggling with her and taking her on good walks. So glad I found him!! Nellie has a new best friend”

I have received only positive reviews from my neighbors and often look after the same pets repeatedly. I have a lifelong love of animals, and make sure to dedicate myself to looking after your pets. I'm currently a college student, so I have a very flexible schedule this summer! I am available all days weekends and weekdays, but my schedule might change from week to week. I make sure to be very attentive of your pets and always keep a close eye on them. I am also able to give medicine if need be, as well as crate your dogs.

About: Over the last ten years I have had the opportunity to care for multiple furry friends, including seniors with health issues that require twice daily medication injections and frequent trips outside. I have always loved animals and am dedicated to giving them the best possible love and care they need. I recently moved to the area and would love to help take care of your babies while I'm between jobs! I recently moved to the area and am currently between jobs so I'm available 24/7 to provide pet care for any sweet lil babies who need it! I'm extremely diligent about making sure no animals get in or out of the house without me knowing! No assuming your cat is an outdoor pet or anything like that, I'll make sure to send frequent photo updates to let you know all is well at home.
About: I love animals and am a huge dog lover! I have a pit bull myself, she is 3 years old, my best friend, my whole world. I’ve done Rover in the past and it filled my heart with joy to meet so many pets. I have taken care of a lot of my friends dogs, such as husky’s, Pomeranians, Italian greyhounds, and others. I look forward to taking the best care of your own beloved pets. I am very flexible with my schedule. After working as an office manager for a doctor for 14 years, I have decided to take time off and do things I really love and enjoy. I have a pitbull myself, we have a fenced in backyard that she uses for potty breaks and to bathe in the sun when she can. She gets to go to the dog park, weather permitting and gets a few walks per day.
“Emily was amazing with my cat. My cat was comfortable with her from day one - which made me feel much more secure knowing that he was in good hands while I was away on my trip.”

About: I have owned dogs my entire life and am lucky to still be caring for my childhood dog (17 years old!). Because of this experience, I know some dogs require a routine schedule to make sure they continue to be happy and healthy. Every dog has a one of a kind personality and I love getting to know each dogs quirks and little joys! I will be working close to a 9-5 schedule around 4 days a week. I will be able to give potty breaks or walks before and/or after my work during the work week but I am much more flexible Friday-Sunday. I live in an apartment so I unfortunately cannot offer dog sitting at my place at this time. Because I live in an apartment, I make sure to give my dog morning and evening walks and can make sure your dog gets the same treatment!
“Our dog, Cookie, loved Mallory! She was always on time and spent quality time with Cookie. She sent great pictures of the adventures they had together. Will certainly book Mallory any time we need someone to watch Cookie for us. Thank you Mallory!”

“Ciara was extremely helpful and flexible. She took care of my dogs for multiple days and made sure they were good. She went beyond expectations and I would certainly hire her again!”

Ella took amazing care of Bailey while we were away. She was attentive, patient, reliable, followed our routine perfectly and sent the best daily photo updates. I was able to relax on my trip knowing my fur baby was well taken care of. We will definitely book Ella again!!

Jing is the petsitter I trust the most! She is so sweet and kind to Pepper and Walnut. Pepper is a big dog and can intimidate some people, but Jing wasn’t fazed by his size at all. He adores her and gets so excited when she shows up. She also gave medication to Walnut and double checked she didn’t avoid the pills hidden in her food. She’s very responsive and takes lots of pictures of them when she visits. She even cleaned their bowls her last visit before our return. She will be our petsitter for as long as we have our dogs and she’s still pet sitting 😊

Cindy is a life saver ! I booked her last minute and right there and then she went as soon as possible to do the drop in for my pets. Cindy truly cares for your pet ! She will go above and beyond. Cindy was so sweet , my fur baby’s got so comfortable and felt a good connection with her right away. Cindy thank you again! Will be booking again!

Tracy has been a great sitter for our puppy. She loves her and takes her on long walks. She is very loving and experienced and our puppy gets very excited when she sees her. She is very punctual and always easy to communicate with and very flexible. She is the best sitter we had so far!
There are not enough words to describe how wonderful Sheila was with our little diva. We now copy her sked for our older chiweenie for walks and meals. She found a better rhythm that’s working great at addressing our dog’s old lady dog issues. So glad we met Sheila here, we’ll be asking for her help again.

Glowing reviews for Forest! I needed to find care for my dog and cat while I travelled over Thanksgiving weekend. Forest was very responsive and attentive to detail. The pics provided each visit showed how happy and at peace my pets are with them. I will definitely be booking them again the next time I travel.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
