“Madison did a great job caring for Arthur! Perfect amount of communication, showed up right on time and did everything that was asked. Couldn’t ask for a better sitter! Would definitely book with her again.”

“Maxine was so helpful for daily check-ins for our puppy, Nala! She sent great photo updates and checked in as needed. She is flexible and asked great questions to make sure she stuck to the routine we have going. We will definitely contact Maxine in the future for walks!”

About: I’ve taken care of many pets in the past. I also have a long time favorite customer that i continually go back to for visits. I go to Nova Community College full time and work part time as an RBT (registered behavior technician) with autistic children. I own 3 dogs of my own at the current moment, so taking care of them is part of my daily routine. Anything I can do. I have a fenced in backyard at my home and i let my dogs walk freely. I’m open to any accommodations needed for dogs +cats.
About: I have pet sit for family and friends since I was 16. I can do drop in visits or stay at the home with them. I also worked at a dog boarding facility and have experience with many dogs at all ages. I’m currently only babysitting during the week so I have plenty of time for your pet. I can also drop in during the day to let them out and hang out with them. I will gladly stay with your dog and ensure they have plenty of play time and outside time. I know it’s important for them to get their energy out so I will make sure to spend a good amount of time playing with them.
About: I’ve cared for both mine and my neighbor’s cats for several years and have begun walking dogs this past year. My goal through these visits is to prioritize your furry friends’ comfort while ensuring they have what they need to be and feel safe and healthy! I’m a full time GMU student with a car on campus! This allows me to have a flexible schedule outside of class hours to visit and check in with your pets. 8 years of owning a cat has taught me that animals tend to be very transparent about their boundaries and wants once you know what to look for, and respecting these boundaries while keeping them healthy is my top priority as your sitter!

About: Over the years I have taken care of many different kinds of animals including dogs and cats (of which I've owned two of each), guinea pigs, mice, and more! In my veterinary science classes, I learned a lot about the handling of dogs, cats, and small animals and got lots of hands-on experience working with dogs during weekly grooming days. Previously, I have worked in a dog hotel as a kennel assistant where I provided many different services for dogs including feeding, cleaning and walking. Along with this, I also often pet sit for my friends and family :D I have plenty of time to look after pets this summer. If anything pops up that will be communicated through messages or on my calendar 👍 I have experience working with a variety of tempers in dogs, cats, and other animals. I'm very patient with nervous/shy animals and can match a higher energy as well.
“We were nervous to leave our 14-year old dog while we traveled out of the country for a week, but David went above and beyond in making us feel comfortable and caring for our dog. David connected easily with our dog, and our dog warmed up to him very quickly. David was always on time and gave us regular detailed updates, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. If we ever need help with our dog again, we will absolutely reach out to David.”

“Dionisia is a great pet care taker . She is very good and patient with handling dogs with anxiety like mine and I can tell my dog loved her as well. She send photos and always communicated very well with me. I 100% trust and recommend her for anyone who may want to book with her !”

About: My name is Leigh, and I am a dedicated pet sitter and dog walker with a lifelong passion for animals. Growing up in North Carolina, I was surrounded by both large and small animals. I have personally owned dogs for the past 25 years. Following the recent loss of our two beloved dogs in 2024, I found that pet sitting and walking would be a meaningful way to continue sharing my affection for animals. I am available for pet sitting services in your home as well as my own, which features a large, securely fenced yard. I am eager to meet your pet and provide them with attentive care and companionship. I would be happy to provide you with regular updates, including texts and photos. Please feel free to contact me at your convenience to discuss your pet care needs. I work in an office during the week and on occasion from home. Weekends and evenings I am home and will spend time with them. I am also well versed in special needs as my babies have had medical issues. I have given medication and shots to my animals and happy to follow your care list and needs.
“Melika is extremely attentive, responsive and very sweet to my Hank! Sends great photos and videos of my boy. I would definitely recommend her to friends and family!”

About: As a devoted dog mom and remote professional, I know the importance of creating a loving, structured environment for pets. My daily routine includes feeding, walking, playing with, and caring for my own pup—who’s happy to share her cozy space with new friends. I’m detail-oriented, dependable, and will care for your pet with the same thoughtfulness and affection I give my own. Since I work from home most of the time, I’m able to offer flexible care throughout the day. Whether it’s boarding, playtime, or check-ins, I’ll be there to ensure your pet feels safe, engaged, and loved. Your pet’s needs won’t just fit into my routine—they’ll help shape it. I provide a calm, pet-friendly home shared with my sweet and social dog. The space is clean and comfortable, with plenty of room to rest or play. I closely follow your pet’s care instructions and am happy to crate if needed. Safety and comfort are my top priorities—because I know that peace of mind for you starts with a safe, happy pet.

Courtney is outstanding!!! She takes such great care of our 15year old sweet dog and as a bonus…her pictures are simply the best! All our favorite pictures of our dogs have come from Courtney’s visits! She is a fantastic communicator and is always so responsible!! Your animals are in the best hands with her!!
Rachel has been great with our adult dog and our very young puppy! We needed someone to come and check in on the puppy while we're at work, feed him, and take him out. She gives a comprehensive update everyday and has taken some very cute pictures of the dogs, including our older girl who refuses to look at a camera. We're very grateful she's been able to give us a hand!

We have a very shy and timid dog, but Forest's calm energy, patience, and gentle approach quickly won our dog over. Beyond her great temperament, Forest is extraordinarily reliable and always on time. We trust her completely and couldn't be happier with her service!

Ella took amazing care of Bailey while we were away. She was attentive, patient, reliable, followed our routine perfectly and sent the best daily photo updates. I was able to relax on my trip knowing my fur baby was well taken care of. We will definitely book Ella again!!

Cindy is a life saver ! I booked her last minute and right there and then she went as soon as possible to do the drop in for my pets. Cindy truly cares for your pet ! She will go above and beyond. Cindy was so sweet , my fur baby’s got so comfortable and felt a good connection with her right away. Cindy thank you again! Will be booking again!

Tracy has been a great sitter for our puppy. She loves her and takes her on long walks. She is very loving and experienced and our puppy gets very excited when she sees her. She is very punctual and always easy to communicate with and very flexible. She is the best sitter we had so far!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
