“We are super picky who we leave our senior pugs with! Nikki has been awesome with them. She is professional and friendly. It’s always a huge help and relief knowing she’ll be seeing them.”

About: Eating, medicine, play time will follow your normal routine. Will send pictures/videos as often as you would like, I want you to be happy and comfortable knowing your pet is having a wonderful time Tzu, Pugs, Portuguese Water Dogs, Goldens. I work for Fairfax County Public Schools in the Administration office and am home every day by 3pm during the week. Please provide their normal schedule for feeding time and exercise so I can maintain this while you are away. I offer overnight stays aimed for those that work night shifts that would need to be dropped off in the afternoon/evening and picked up by 4am the next morning. I offer to come pick up your pet and take you to the airport and you can leave your car at your home. They will have free run of the house and will be taken on frequent walks. Bull Run Park is near the property that has miles of trails and a creek nearby and if they like to swim. I will follow your instructions, walking times, feeding time, medication etc. I don't have cameras in my home but I will take pictures and videos of your pet every day and send them to you so that you know they are happy and healthy. It's important that they are not aggressive, and are cat/dog/people friendly. The safety and welfare of your pet is my #1 priority. I do insist on a meet and greet prior to drop off to see if they are ok with this environment. This will help them get comfortable being here with you and I find this reduces their stress during drop off.
“Kaitlin was amazing! She took care of my two cats for a week and a half while I was away. They were very well taken care of, and Kaitlin sent lots of pics and updates. Would highly recommend!”

“Heather is a lifesaver! We have had her watch our senior cat twice in the last month for extended periods of time and she has exceeded our expectations. She leaves our home better than we left it, our cat is calmer when we return home than we've previously experienced with other pet sitters, and we get photos, videos, and text updates throughout. Our cat also has twice daily medications and Heather was able to seamlessly handle them. Could not recommend her more!”
About: Hi my name is Catherine! I am a compassionate and attentive pet caregiver with hands-on experience caring for my 1-year-old Shih Tzu–Bichon mix, Willow. Through daily care, I’ve developed strong skills in feeding routines, grooming maintenance, potty training reinforcement, exercise, and providing a structured, loving environment for young dogs. In addition to personal pet care, I have professional experience working as a Veterinary Assistant, where I assisted with animal handling, basic medical care, administering medications, monitoring pet behavior, and supporting veterinarians during examinations and treatments. This background has strengthened my ability to recognize signs of stress, illness, or discomfort in pets and respond appropriately. Friends, family, and clients often call me the “dog whisperer” because of my natural ability to connect with dogs, earn their trust quickly, and keep them calm and comfortable. I pride myself on patience, gentle handling, and understanding each pet’s unique personality and needs. My goal is to provide safe, loving, and reliable care so every pet feels secure and happy while their owners are away. Pet care is a consistent and meaningful part of my daily routine. As the owner of a 1-year-old Shih Tzu–Bichon mix named Willow, my day naturally revolves around feeding schedules, walks, playtime, grooming, and reinforcing positive behaviors. My previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant has also shaped how I approach pet care week to week. I’m attentive to health, behavior changes, and overall well-being, making pet care feel second nature to me. Caring for animals isn’t just a task in my schedule — it’s something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize every day. Whether pets stay in my home or I care for them in theirs, I focus on making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. In my home, pets get plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and a structured routine alongside my dog, Willow. I keep the environment clean, supervised, and stress-free. In a client’s home, I stick closely to the pet’s normal schedule so they feel secure. I follow feeding routines, walk schedules, medication needs, and provide companionship while keeping owners updated. With my Veterinary Assistant background, I’m also attentive to health and behavior, which helps me provide an extra level of care.

I look forward to providing your pets with the most attentive care possible! I work part-time on weekdays, which leaves me flexible and available for pet care. I am fully available on weekends to give pets consistent attention and care. I provide a clean, safe, and calm environment while respecting each client’s home. I follow instructions carefully and ensure pets feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life, and I gained experience with dogs of all breeds and sizes working at two dog kennels in the past! I’m also comfortable with cats, although I don’t have as much experience with them. I rescued my dog two years ago, and I treat all pets like they’re my own! I work from home so my schedule is flexible! Just reach out with your preferences and we can schedule accordingly. I have weekend availability as well. “Neha took amazing care of my 3 kitties while we were on vacation. I am very particular about who cares for my fur babies and I instantly felt at ease with Neha and knew that she would take great care in ensuring that my cats were safe and well looked after. She provided multiple photos daily and enabled me to be able to relax knowing that my kitties were safe and happy.”

“Maxine was so helpful for daily check-ins for our puppy, Nala! She sent great photo updates and checked in as needed. She is flexible and asked great questions to make sure she stuck to the routine we have going. We will definitely contact Maxine in the future for walks!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Centreville
Yiyi came to meet the pets before the sit. She was super diligent with the details of where everything was and making sure she did everything right. Her communication was fabulous. I appreciate confirmations and communication so this was a plus for me. She came when I requested and all the dogs were happy.

I highly recommend Fernanda as a dog walker. She is reliable, always on time, and communicates exceptionally well. She responded to my request quickly and made the entire process easy and stress-free. I appreciate her professionalism and dependability, and I always feel confident that my dog is in good hands.

Cassie did an incredible job taking care of our three kitties. They absolutely loved her and loved hanging out with her, even though they are usually pretty shy around new people. She made sure that every evening they had their dinner, water, clean litter boxes and lots of love. We felt much more comfortable being away from them for a week knowing that Cassie was taking such good care of them. We came home to some pretty happy kitties, thanks to Cassie. We will definitely use her, again, next time we need someone to care for our fur babies.

Jen took care of our pup and guinea pigs for a second time, and just like the first, she did an incredible job. Her attention to detail is impressive and she truly cares about each and every animal she takes care of. She remembers their funny little quirks and routines and puts us at ease every time! Will book again and again!

Our dog immediately felt comfortable with David. He was very patient and thorough with her, and even tidied up her food and surrounding area. His communication was perfect and very proactive. He is the only person we will consider in the future. Thanks David!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
