About: I have 3 dogs of my own, big breeds, and I have trained all 3 by myself. I adore all sizes of pets! I’d love to meet yours! I care for them as much as I do my own! 😊 I currently work an 8-5, but I do have time in the evenings to walk, play, and train. The weekends I am completely free. Whatever time works for me on the weekends, no certain time area, just whatever is easiest for the client. I care for others pets the same way I do my own. Taken well care of, lots of fun play time! Love to send pictures and videos to the customers pets also!
“Emma responded quickly and was available for a visit. She listened and asked questions as we have 4 senior cats with different diets. Everyone had been well taken care of when we got home and there was peace among the felines!”

“Alex took such great care of Nellie, sending updates & photos and going above and beyond snuggling with her and taking her on good walks. So glad I found him!! Nellie has a new best friend”
“Absolutely fantastic! Always takes great care of my kitty boy and goes above and beyond providing enrichment to him as well! 10/10 will always try to book with Carole!!”

“Shaye is lovely and gets on the floor with our baby gurl Luna who is a very affectionate labradoodle. Shaye is incredibly responsible and says what she’ll do and does what she says. We have asked Shaye to look after Luna while we are travelling and she’ll be our go to person for Luna! Call her for sure :) Ta! Dev”

“Yiyi is awesome! She took care of our two pups and our cat three times a day for seven days. We got detailed reports on each visit accompanied by excellent pictures of our pups and cat showing them eating, going on their walks, etc. When we need someone to watch our furry babies again, we will definitely reach out to Yiyi.”

“Sam was SO awesome! She was so responsive and her communication the entire time was exceptional. She immediately gave my pup so many snuggles and spent time while I was not there truly making him feel at home. I cannot recommend Sam enough!!”

“Megan was amazing with our dog and cat!! Our pup is very scared of everyone and everything but Megan was wonderful with him. I enjoyed the pictures of their walks and updates from each check-in.”

“Caroline is an amazing cat sitter. She was so sweet to my boys and took care of them for me while I was gone. She is caring, attentive, and I will be hiring her going forward! Caroline also communicates very well and truly cared about my fur babies while I was away. Really lucky we found her!”

About: I have worked in pet hotels over the past four years caring for high volumes of dogs and cats of varying needs and breeds. From diabetic pets, to incredibly picky eaters there is little I haven't encountered. The desire to work closer and refine the details of my work is what has lead me to Rover, so I can give dedicated personalized care to every pet that comes my way. Hablo Español. My pet care routine is the backbone for the day, I schedule my day around my pets, so they are comfortable and I don't miss anything. My home is seldom empty, as I live with my family there's always someone to keep your pets with human company. My dog while on the more mellow side is more than happy to have a window watching partner. I can accommodate for crates, and have a fenced in yard.

“I highly recommend Fernanda as a dog walker. She is reliable, always on time, and communicates exceptionally well. She responded to my request quickly and made the entire process easy and stress-free. I appreciate her professionalism and dependability, and I always feel confident that my dog is in good hands.”

“Alex was very helpful and our cats warmed right up to him! While we were away he sent us pictures every day he visited and provided thorough updates. He even informed us when their water was getting low (because we can’t use an automatic water dispenser- our cat plays with it) and went out of his way to add an extra water bowl! We highly recommend Alex to help with your pets!”

“Everytime Macie takes care of my boys, they're happy, loved, and she always goes above and bebeyond. Cant recommend her enough if youre in the area and she always takes the best pictures of my boys!”

“Cassie did an amazing job checking in on my skittish fur babies for the week we were on vacation. She even managed to get them to not be afraid of her (which is no mean feat). Highly recommend and will definitely rebook, when the opportunity arises.”

“Hannah took great care of our dog, Oliver, while we were out of town for the weekend! She took the time to come meet Oliver prior to us leaving, which we truly appreciated. He got lots of love and attention and he loved the walks she took him on and she consistently kept us updated while we were away with messages and pictures. We would highly recommend Hannah to take care of your fur babies!”

“Heather was great with my babies and made me feel like they were very well taken care of while I was away. She sent many pictures of them getting cuddles and communicated quickly any issues that arose.”

“Nazeeya is a super kind, thoughtful dog sitter who made sure to ask all the important questions to be able to care for Baby in the best way. She has a true love for animals and sent very cute updates of Baby so I could see how he was doing while I was away. I would recommend Nazeeya to anyone who needs a loving, experienced animal care taker!”

About: Hi my name is Catherine! I am a compassionate and attentive pet caregiver with hands-on experience caring for my 1-year-old Shih Tzu–Bichon mix, Willow. Through daily care, I’ve developed strong skills in feeding routines, grooming maintenance, potty training reinforcement, exercise, and providing a structured, loving environment for young dogs. In addition to personal pet care, I have professional experience working as a Veterinary Assistant, where I assisted with animal handling, basic medical care, administering medications, monitoring pet behavior, and supporting veterinarians during examinations and treatments. This background has strengthened my ability to recognize signs of stress, illness, or discomfort in pets and respond appropriately. Friends, family, and clients often call me the “dog whisperer” because of my natural ability to connect with dogs, earn their trust quickly, and keep them calm and comfortable. I pride myself on patience, gentle handling, and understanding each pet’s unique personality and needs. My goal is to provide safe, loving, and reliable care so every pet feels secure and happy while their owners are away. Pet care is a consistent and meaningful part of my daily routine. As the owner of a 1-year-old Shih Tzu–Bichon mix named Willow, my day naturally revolves around feeding schedules, walks, playtime, grooming, and reinforcing positive behaviors. My previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant has also shaped how I approach pet care week to week. I’m attentive to health, behavior changes, and overall well-being, making pet care feel second nature to me. Caring for animals isn’t just a task in my schedule — it’s something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize every day. Whether pets stay in my home or I care for them in theirs, I focus on making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. In my home, pets get plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and a structured routine alongside my dog, Willow. I keep the environment clean, supervised, and stress-free. In a client’s home, I stick closely to the pet’s normal schedule so they feel secure. I follow feeding routines, walk schedules, medication needs, and provide companionship while keeping owners updated. With my Veterinary Assistant background, I’m also attentive to health and behavior, which helps me provide an extra level of care.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Centreville. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
