“I had an excellent experience! Emily was incredibly kind, communicative, and took wonderful care of my cats. I came home to happy, well-cared-for animals, and the flowers she left as a thank-you were such a thoughtful and unexpected touch. I would absolutely book with Emily again and highly recommend her to anyone on Rover.”

About: I have taken care of pets my whole life. I currently have cats, a dog, and a lizard! I have experience pet sitting for family and neighbors. I have plenty of time to spend with your pets. I am flexible and can hang out with your pets as much as you would like. I am open to late nights or early mornings as well. I believe that pets are the most comfortable in their own homes. It’s better to come to them so they can stay where they know, rather than having to get comfortable in a new place.
“Cassie again was amazing! She was available on short notice for an emergency and was super flexible with our needs. She took great care of our three cats and we never worried about them when she was caring for them. We will continue to try and book her in the future!”
“Emann took wonderful care of my cat Arya while I was away for a week. She was always prompt with updates and pictures, and I came home to full food and water bowls and a clean litter box. Arya even came out to socialize most days which is rare for her!”

“Carrie took such great care of our kitty cat princess while we were away! She was very communicative and sent over great picture updates. We will definitely be using her services again in the future!”

“Amazing sitter! Love that she always takes the time to tell us how our cats are doing and does everything she can to make sure they felt loved and cared for at every visit! 😊”

“Shaye is amazing - a dog’s best friend! She took the time to meet Scooter in advance of our visit and it was immediately apparent what a dog-lover she was (and how much our dog loved her too.). She arrived right on time to walk and care for Scooter and gave us pics and updates. Fantastic caregiver for our fur baby!”

“Kaitlin, thank you for taking care of Bagheera again! I appreciate the photos and updates. Thanks also for suggesting a great alternate sitter for the day you couldn’t care for her!”

“We’ve previously had Hannah watch our dog, Oliver, for a weekend but this time it was for an entire week and we are so happy we did! She did an amazing job watching him and caring for him while we were gone. She took him on many walks and kept us updated with lots of pictures! We are so grateful for the time and attention she gave him!”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was a kid! It’s one of life’s pleasures to bond with them, and in my care I hope to make your fur baby feel safe as can be. No matter if they’re grumpy or sweet as can be, I will care for them as if they are my own! Thank you so much for your consideration! I’m available weekends and weekdays, day and night to housesit. I don’t have many external commitments, so please reach out to me for more details! I will provide a calm presence for your animals. About: Eating, medicine, play time will follow your normal routine. Will send pictures/videos as often as you would like, I want you to be happy and comfortable knowing your pet is having a wonderful time Tzu, Pugs, Portuguese Water Dogs, Goldens. I work for Fairfax County Public Schools in the Administration office and am home every day by 3pm during the week. Please provide their normal schedule for feeding time and exercise so I can maintain this while you are away. I offer overnight stays aimed for those that work night shifts that would need to be dropped off in the afternoon/evening and picked up by 4am the next morning. I offer to come pick up your pet and take you to the airport and you can leave your car at your home. They will have free run of the house and will be taken on frequent walks. Bull Run Park is near the property that has miles of trails and a creek nearby and if they like to swim. I will follow your instructions, walking times, feeding time, medication etc. I don't have cameras in my home but I will take pictures and videos of your pet every day and send them to you so that you know they are happy and healthy. It's important that they are not aggressive, and are cat/dog/people friendly. The safety and welfare of your pet is my #1 priority. I do insist on a meet and greet prior to drop off to see if they are ok with this environment. This will help them get comfortable being here with you and I find this reduces their stress during drop off.
“So glad we found Nazeeya! She was professional and thorough from start to finish. She was intuitive to our pet’s needs and communicated any irregularities she saw that may be cause for concern. She followed their care plan precisely and bonded quickly with our boy Wolfy. She went above and beyond to see that their needs were met and even brought in a huge house-plant package that was delivered while we were away. She did an excellent job and will definitely book with her the next time we travel.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Centreville
Emaan was responsive to my initial request, and on time for meet-n-greet. She is professional and personable. Emaan took great care of my cat Clementine (5yo), was timely for drop-ins, and provided photos of their interaction. I am happy to report that Clementine enjoyed Emaan and cozied up to her. Knowing Clem' is in good hands makes it easier to step away. I will def use Emaan again! 😀

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
