“I truly couldn’t have had a better experience. Carole came to the rescue in an emergent situation as I was out of state & the person watching my dog bailed after I left. Carole took excellent care of him & provided multiple updates & pictures daily. It was so last minute & she handled everything so well. What started with tears of anger/stress became tears of happiness. 10000/10 recommend”

“Courtney has watched our pets more times than I can count and every time she is reliable and goes above and beyond to show our 2 cats and anxious pup love while we are gone.”

“Manrong was an excellent cat sitter even during the recent snow and ice storms! She braved our unplowed driveway with no complaints and sent friendly, thorough updates while we were out of town.”

“Stephanie has done a great job with our two cats multiple times. She coordinated really well to take care of the cats even on short notice and when we were already out of town. I highly recommend her service!”

“Chelsea was fantastic! She provided me with detailed updates each day and a plethora of pictures of my fur babies! My pets seemed to take to her really quickly. I would definitely rebook with her for future needs.”

“Thank you so much Mallory!! She did a great job giving my cat and bunnies love and care while we were away! She was friendly and patient with us (the owners, lol) We love the pictures and notes she sent. I would love to have Mallory back to help us out 🙏🏻”

“Sam was SO awesome! She was so responsive and her communication the entire time was exceptional. She immediately gave my pup so many snuggles and spent time while I was not there truly making him feel at home. I cannot recommend Sam enough!!”

“Laura took great care of our very particular, needy cat. She was patient and understanding. Sbe gave frequent updates about what was going on with our cat to include messages and pictures. Highly recommend her!”

“Melianna was fantastic with my boy, kept me updated for each visit with pictures and went above and beyond with him in my absence! 10/10, 5 stars, full recommendation on my part”

“Gabby is one of the best cat sitters I've ever had. She was so sweet and loving to both my cats. My shy girl warmed right up to her and even let Gabby pet her belly. My cat has never done that with a sitter before! I was able to relax on my trip knowing Gabby would take great care of my babies! I will definitely be hiring her again again!! Thank you so much, Gabby!!”

“Emily did a wonderful job taking care of our 8 little canaries!!! She is a very quick learner and her response rate is 100% fast and courteous. We would love to have her take care of our little ones again. Highly recommend.”

“Kaitlin was amazing! She took care of my two cats for a week and a half while I was away. They were very well taken care of, and Kaitlin sent lots of pics and updates. Would highly recommend!”

“I strongly strongly strongly recommend Yiyi. She took care of my two senior cats for 3 days, two visits per day. I have never booked a pet sitter before so I was worried, but Yiyi made sure there was nothing to worry about. She is very respectful and communicated in a timely manner. She sent a lot of pictures of my two cats for peace of mind. We enjoyed all the updates. She did everything perfectly and made sure everything was exactly as wanted. She spent a lot of time playing with my seniors cats and keeping them stimulated which I really appreciated. I will only be booking with Yiyi for all future trips. If you want to know your pets are in safe hands you can trust her.”

Carol Ann is the best! This was her 2nd time watching my cat for multiple days and my shy cat really enjoys seeing her and having pets and treats when she arrives. I know she’s in good hands when I book the Rover visits with Carol Ann. I’ll definitely book with her again. Thank you for taking such good care of Sophie for me 😺

Forest is always the first person we will go to when we need someone to watch our cat! They’ve taken the time to build a great rapport with him so he trusts them enough to take his meds and food every time. We always come back to a clean home and a calm happy cat!

We highly recommend Susannah for your pet sitting needs, she is wonderful. She took care of all 3 of our pets as well as our fish! She was thorough in the feeding, cleaning up after, etc. and was in constant communication every day. She is wonderful, book her!!! 😀😁

Jessica was the perfect pet sitter for our senior kitty while we were away. The old lady had her worst illness and first emergency vet trip at 17 yrs old the week before we left the country for two weeks. Jessica was so kind to monitor her food intake, potty status (and do some clean up), and give her meds while we were away. We are so grateful!

Courtney takes such wonderful care of my babygirl, Jade! I used to feel such gut-wrenching fear leaving my cat, even for a weekend, because she can be a very anxious scaredy-cat. She’s not great with new faces. However, she warmed up to Courtney on day one(which is truly saying something!) Jade has historically hidden under the bed and cried every time a new face comes over. But not with Courtney! She makes sure that Jade is well-loved and cared for. Makes sure everything is clean when we come back home too. Absolutely fantastic. Will definitely be asking her to watch Jade any time I need someone! HIGHLY recommend!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Greenbriar. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
