“Maryann was absolutely wonderful! She went above and beyond while caring for our 3 dogs and cat while we were out of town. She spent extra time at our house, made sure everyone was fed, loved on, and played with, and even cleaned up accidents in the house without hesitation. It gave us such peace of mind knowing our pets were in such caring and capable hands. We would highly recommend Maryann and will definitely be booking with her again! ❤️🐾”

“Madison did a great job caring for Arthur! Perfect amount of communication, showed up right on time and did everything that was asked. Couldn’t ask for a better sitter! Would definitely book with her again.”

“Jessica has been great! We love the pictures and updates she sends. She asks questions and shares any concerns right away. She’s always on time and has been able to help us with our puppy with short notice. We would definitely recommend working with her!”

About: I have taken care of pets my whole life. I currently have cats, a dog, and a lizard! I have experience pet sitting for family and neighbors. I have plenty of time to spend with your pets. I am flexible and can hang out with your pets as much as you would like. I am open to late nights or early mornings as well. I believe that pets are the most comfortable in their own homes. It’s better to come to them so they can stay where they know, rather than having to get comfortable in a new place.

“Carrie took such great care of our kitty cat princess while we were away! She was very communicative and sent over great picture updates. We will definitely be using her services again in the future!”

About: I have 20+ years of pet-sitting experience and truly love animals of all kinds! I’ve cared for big dogs, small dogs, puppies, seniors, cats, birds, fish—you name it. If it isn’t a plant, I’m your person! (And I’ll give the plants my best shot too. 😂) I’m also comfortable with pets who need a little extra care, including administering medications, insulin injections, and subcutaneous fluids. Whether your pet needs walks and playtime or extra patience and TLC, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. 🐾❤️ I work full-time from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility to fit pet care into my day. I’m available for drop-ins, walks, feedings, medications, and plenty of love and attention throughout the week. I also have great availability on weekends and holidays! I provide care exclusively in your pet’s own home, where they’re happiest and most comfortable. “Kaitlin, thank you for taking care of Bagheera again! I appreciate the photos and updates. Thanks also for suggesting a great alternate sitter for the day you couldn’t care for her!”

“Emann took wonderful care of my cat Arya while I was away for a week. She was always prompt with updates and pictures, and I came home to full food and water bowls and a clean litter box. Arya even came out to socialize most days which is rare for her!”

“Laura went above and beyond to care for Bella. She was very quick to respond, communicative, and a pleasure to work with. Bella is on the older side so her care instructions were pretty detailed but she followed them all perfectly. I always looked forward to her Rover cards at the end of each visit because she made sure to snap a lot of photos. Bella also seemed to love her presence!”

Emaan was responsive to my initial request, and on time for meet-n-greet. She is professional and personable. Emaan took great care of my cat Clementine (5yo), was timely for drop-ins, and provided photos of their interaction. I am happy to report that Clementine enjoyed Emaan and cozied up to her. Knowing Clem' is in good hands makes it easier to step away. I will def use Emaan again! 😀

It gave us such peace of mind knowing our pets were in such caring and capable hands. We would highly recommend Maryann and will definitely be booking with her again! ❤️🐾

Jessica was the perfect pet sitter for our senior kitty while we were away. The old lady had her worst illness and first emergency vet trip at 17 yrs old the week before we left the country for two weeks. Jessica was so kind to monitor her food intake, potty status (and do some clean up), and give her meds while we were away. We are so grateful!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Brookfield. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
