“Wow!!! Let me say, I've never been so pleased and impressed with a dog walker like I am with Lashawn. He takes such good care of my babies and when I come home, I legit have zero concerns. House clean, exactly the way I left it. Dogs fed and walked. Lots of photos which I personally appreciate. He is extremely reliable and trustworthy. I can really see that he loves what he does. Not letting this gem go! Thank you sir”

“Our experience was excellent from start to finish. Tamara was responsible, attentive, and kept us updated with messages and photos throughout our trip. Both dogs were clearly well cared for and relaxed when we returned. Great communication and genuine care - we’ll definitely be booking again!”

“I don’t ever have to worry about our cats when we travel, because YiYi takes such good care of them. I love getting the daily updates and photos. I absolutely recommend YiYi!”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and absolutely love them. I volunteer walking shelter dogs when I am at school and I have a dog of my own, Mabel. I have had Mabel for 4 years now and she has completely changed my life. I love all animals and have experience with reptiles and cats too. I have my own dog so I walk my dog 3 times a day, but other than that I am a college student on break so I have so much time on my hands to care for Mabel and your pets as well! I treat every pet as if they are my own. I know how scary it is to leave your pets with someone you don’t know and how a good sitter can make your vacation or time away so much more relaxing and less stressful.
“She was wonderful with our two cats! She sent lots of photos and regular updates, including details on food intake, litter box activity, and playtime, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our cats were clearly comfortable and well cared for. We’d absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to other cat parents.”

“Emily was very nice and flexible with my requests. She was timely and sent great photos of my dog. I feel comfortable with her for our future bookings. She will be my go-to sitter.”

“Alex is so amazing and caring. After the first walk I was immediately put at ease. He loves king, king looks forward to seeing Alex every day. I am so happy we found him.”
“Amazing for my first time with her. She loved and played with my pups and was amazing. Even went above and beyond without saying a word to me but I noticed! Thank you Riley. We will be talking again!!!!!!”

“Samantha is fantastic! We have enlisted her help a few times now and she’s wonderful. I highly recommend reaching out to her to help you watch your pet! She has come by our home a few times and can be trusted!”

“Heather was so wonderful with my two older kitties. She provided prompt updates and photos when she visited, so I felt at ease about their care while we were gone for a few days. She kept up with the clean up as well (my oldest cat misses the litter box sometimes) and it was great to come home to a clean litter box area! Highly recommend this very sweet pet sitter!”

“Nazeeya is a super kind, thoughtful dog sitter who made sure to ask all the important questions to be able to care for Baby in the best way. She has a true love for animals and sent very cute updates of Baby so I could see how he was doing while I was away. I would recommend Nazeeya to anyone who needs a loving, experienced animal care taker!”

“I cannot stress how wonderful Zachariah and Morgan are. My boys absolutely love them and we know that whenever they are watching my boys they are going to be fully taken care of. The best of the best right here.”

“Emaan is a dependable sitter. I have used her for drop by visits and she is always on time and is very caring with my elderly and blind cockapoo. Emaan has been flexible with last minute changes I needed to make. I will call her again.”

Yiyi is the best! This was our second time working with her and she remains so kind and attentive to our babies. One of our cats has separation anxiety and I was so happy to see the photos she sent and to hear how well he responded to her. She was incredibly thorough and alerted me to an issue within my home that was outside of her normal scope. She is communicative and prompt. We appreciate you Yiyi!

We needed someone who could handle multiple visits a day for our two cats, including giving daily diabetes injections to our orange tabby. Their communication was consistent, and the photo updates were great and really helped is feel at ease while we were away. Heather was reliable, caring, and clearly comfortable providing medical care. I’m very grateful for the level of attention she gave both cats and would absolutely book again. Highly recommend.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Schneider Crossroads. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
