About: Hi! I truly enjoy being around animals and caring for them like they’re part of the family. My husband, our 3-year-old son, and I all love having pets around—we’re a home full of energy, love, and cuddles! Whether it’s playtime, walks, or just keeping your pet company, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to provide pet care throughout the day and week. I’m home most of the time, so your pet will have plenty of attention, playtime and companionship. I can easily fit your needs into my daily routine. I have a dedicated space in my home which can be used for pet care throughout. Also, with a fenced backyard , it is an easy and convenient place for pets.
“Jeanette was absolutely amazing! My dog Luna instantly felt at ease and smiled the whole time she was there. Jeanette sent me so many pictures and videos and in every one Luna was full smiles. Luna had a great time and we will definitely use Jeanette again. Highly recommend!”

“Jon and Johanna are great care providers. I felt totally confident with their help with my dog Enzo. They clearly love dogs, especially dachshunds and are very structured in keeping my dog engaged and active and involved with training and fun activities. I will definitely keep them in mind for future bookings. I really appreciate the help they gave me this week.”

“I had a wonderful experience with Lydia and can’t recommend her enough. She is incredibly responsive, which gave me peace of mind from the very beginning. Communication was consistent, thoughtful, and timely—something that really matters when you’re trusting someone with your pet. What stood out the most was the level of care and patience she showed. My dog can be a bit resistant in new environments, but she handled it with such calmness and understanding. It was clear they took the time to build trust and make my pet feel as comfortable as possible. It’s not easy to find someone who combines professionalism with genuine care, but she truly does. I felt confident knowing my pet was in good hands, and I will absolutely be using her services again.”

“Iryana was amazing, she sent updates with photos and videos throughout the day. I can confidently say my dogs were well taken care off. Our dogs will definitely be rovered with her again.”

“Newton loved his stay with Sue, so much that he didn't want to leave when we picked him up. She has a nice piece of property that gives the dogs plenty of room to run around outside but also inviting enough to snuggle up inside.”

About: Being a pet parent myself, I understand that trusting someone with your dog means trusting them with a very special member of your family. That is something I never take lightly. Over the years, I’ve cared for my own dog as well as dogs belonging to friends and neighbors, always treating them with the same love, patience, and attention I would want for my own. I genuinely love animals and have a natural sense of empathy for their individual personalities, routines, comforts, and needs. I believe dogs respond best to kindness, consistency, patience, and encouragement. I’m comfortable using positive reinforcement and creating a calm, happy environment where dogs can feel safe, understood, and cared for. Most importantly, I know the peace of mind a pet parent needs when they are away. My goal is for you to feel confident that your dog is not simply being watched - they are being cared for with genuine affection, responsibility, and heart. 🐾 I currently work remotely in the IT field, which gives me the wonderful opportunity to be home and spend my days doing something else I truly love being around animals and caring for them. My love for animals goes back to my childhood. I grew up in a home with two German Shepherds and four cows, so being surrounded by animals has always felt natural and comforting to me. I truly believe animals are beautiful examples of unconditional love, forgiveness, loyalty, and positivity and simply being around them brings me so much joy. Today, I’m also a proud pet parent to a friendly, happy Mini Poodle who brings endless love and laughter into our home. I understand firsthand how important it is to know that your fur-baby is safe, comfortable, loved, and genuinely cared for while you are away. I look forward to welcoming your doggies into our home and caring for them as I would my own with patience, affection, attention, and lots of love. My hope is to give them a happy, comfortable “second home” experience where they can relax, play, and feel like part of the family. Thank you for considering me to care for such a special member of your family! I have a friendly and happy 7-year-old Mini Poodle who would love to be a sweet companion to other fur-babies during their stay. They can enjoy supervised playtime together, leisurely walks, and fun fetch games in our fenced yard - all while receiving plenty of attention, affection, and care. Our home is located in a secure community in East Gate, Chantilly, with 24/7 video surveillance, providing an added sense of safety and peace of mind. My goal is to create a safe, trustworthy, comfortable, and loving environment where your doggie can feel relaxed, cared for, and truly at home.

About: We’re a husband-and-wife team with a lifelong love of animals and years of experience caring for both dogs and cats—especially rescues. We’ve worked with anxious and reactive pets, administered medications, and provided the extra attention they need to feel safe and comfortable. Our own family includes a 65lb rescue Foxhound and a rescue tabby cat, so we understand the quirks and joys that come with rescue pets. Audrey works from home full time, and Shane is a teacher, which means we have a flexible schedule and your pets won’t be left alone. We’ll make sure they’re happy, healthy, and loved like our own. Audrey works from home full time and Shane is a teacher, so someone will be home with your pet at all times. We make it a priority to follow your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure. Our typical day looks like this: 6–7 AM: Wake up, potty break in the yard, and breakfast 12–1 PM: 45-minute walk 4–5 PM: Playtime in the yard, potty break, and dinner 8–9 PM: Final potty break in the yard before bedtime For dog boarding: Our dog loves meeting and playing with other dogs, so your pup will have a built-in playmate. Our cat will always be kept in a separate room to ensure everyone’s comfort. Since Audrey works from home full time and Shane is a teacher, your dog will always have company and supervision. For cat boarding: Your cat will enjoy a private guest room set up just for them, complete with a litter box, cat tree, toys, and all the comforts they need. To help them feel secure, one of us will spend time in the room during the day—often working from there—so they’ll have companionship and attention throughout their stay.
“Taylor was a very kind and let me know how they were doing and sent me pics which I truly appreciate and we hope to count on her for upcoming sitter daycare and possible boarding for our vacation days!”

“We've been sending our dog to Wyatt's on a weekly basis for a few months now and it's been wonderful! He sends us photos of her playing around with her buddies in the large backyard, and she always seems happy and good-tired when she gets back home. We've also left her there for overnights; it's so good having a place you can feeling comfortable leaving your dog if you have to head out of town. Would definitely recommend Wyatt to anyone!”

“My pups have done daycare with Carolina a few times now and it's been a great experience. Appreciate the convenience of pickup/dropoff transportation service with my busy work schedule and long work commute. Thanks Carolina!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Schneider Crossroads
AMAZING ROVER! One of the very best, if not the best, I've ever had (out of a dozen or more throughout my dog's lifetime)!! Top-notch, INCREDIBLE communication! Lovely home! Photos, videos, texts... I knew Diego was in OUTSTANDING hands while I attended a nearby wedding. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend Jimin. Thank you SO much!!

Mark and Mariette welcomed our girl into their home. We had a last minute booking and Mark was very responsive. Our lab didn’t settle easily as it was her first stay, and they made sure to give her special walks until she acclimated. She seemed to enjoy herself and their other guests were gentle and sweet doggies. They moved together as a pack through the house in the morning so it was evident that the dogs were all comfortable and welcome. Highly recommend and thank you!

Gurpreet was a fantastic sitter! She accepted our last minute daycare request and took great care of zeph during that time. She was super communicative, sent tons of pictures and videos and made sure zeph had a long potty walk during his stay. It was clear that zeph had a great time when he was with Gurpreet! Would happily come back when I'm in the area again! Thank you so much for watching zeph for me last week!!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Schneider Crossroads commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 4,904 sitters in Schneider Crossroads, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
