I’m a stay-at-home mom with two teenagers, and I’m usually home during both weekdays and weekends—except when I travel or occasionally go out for errands or to drive my kids. Even when I’m out, other members of my family are usually home, so your dog will rarely be left alone. My daily routine starts around 6:00 AM. I take the dogs out to our fenced backyard, feed them breakfast, and then we go for a 30-minute walk. If the weather allows, the dogs are welcome to go in and out of the backyard freely throughout the day. After dinner, we go for another walk to get some fresh air and exercise. If you have specific requests, I’m happy to accommodate additional walks during the day as well. Before bedtime—around 10:00 PM—I take the dogs out one last time for a bathroom break and then settle them in for the night. I can ensure at least two walks per day, plus regular access to a safe, fenced yard. Since I’m home most of the time, and my family is here when I’m not, your dog will enjoy plenty of company and attention throughout their stay.

Information Lydia Y. would like to know about your pet
To provide the best care possible, I kindly ask that you let me know in advance if your dog has any special needs, unique behaviors, or specific likes and dislikes. This helps me get to know them more quickly and ensures they feel comfortable and understood from the start. Please bathe your dog before drop-off. A clean dog not only sheds less but also makes it easier for me to cuddle and love on them more! If you’re unable to bathe your dog before their stay, I’m happy to do it for you for an additional $40.
A typical day
I truly enjoy walking and spending time with dogs—it’s one of my favorite parts of pet sitting. I love exploring the neighborhood with them, whether it’s just your dog, your dog with mine (a small, friendly pup), or with another dog who shares a similar personality and energy level. My teenagers also enjoy playing with our furry guests. They’ll happily throw the ball, run around, and keep your dog active and entertained. Our fenced backyard provides plenty of space for safe, off-leash play. Your dog is free to run around, play, or just relax outside whenever they’d like. Whether it’s a calm walk or energetic playtime, your pup will get plenty of love, exercise, and attention during their stay.

Pet care experience
It’s been a year since I started pet sitting through Rover, and the experience has been truly rewarding. The more time I spend with dogs, the deeper my love for them grows. I’ve also become much better at reading their signals and understanding their unique personalities. My family and I have always wanted to adopt more dogs, but due to various circumstances, it hasn’t been easy. Pet sitting turned out to be the perfect alternative—it’s been a fantastic experience for all of us! The hardest part is always saying goodbye, but over time, we’ve realized that many of our furry guests return to stay with us again, which brings us so much joy. In our home, we let dogs be themselves. If they want to nap on the couch or prefer some alone time, we give them that space. If they want to sleep in the bedroom, they’re more than welcome to. We let them choose where they feel most comfortable. I’ve been around dogs since I was young and often cared for my friends’ pets while they traveled. So I have a lot of experience understanding their needs and making them feel at home. Every member of my family loves dogs, and we treat every guest like our own. When I meet a new dog, I stay close to them and spend the whole day observing and bonding with them. This helps me understand their likes, dislikes, and behaviors so I can ease any anxiety they may have. I always communicate with pet parents about their dog’s habits, but I also make sure to observe and learn from the dog directly—because even though they can’t speak, they communicate a lot through their actions. Your dog will be loved, respected, and well cared for in our home—as if they were part of our family.

We love Lydia ❤️ Thank you ❤️

Lydia was great! She took good care of our dog and he played with a number of other small dogs during his stay.

Calvin had a great stay. Would definitely come back for stays in future.
