“Maryann was absolutely wonderful! She went above and beyond while caring for our 3 dogs and cat while we were out of town. She spent extra time at our house, made sure everyone was fed, loved on, and played with, and even cleaned up accidents in the house without hesitation. It gave us such peace of mind knowing our pets were in such caring and capable hands. We would highly recommend Maryann and will definitely be booking with her again! ❤️🐾”

She promptly notified me when they were not on their best behavior. The picture updated really provided me with a peace of mind and I’ve already booked her for my next pet care. Thank you again so much for everything!”

About: I have loved animals since childhood and became a rescuer for senior dogs 10+ years ago. The past couple years I’ve had experience sitting and spending the night with dogs and cats that need to be cared for. I have my own part time business and I make my own schedule. I am flexible throughout my day to care for your animals. I know pets can be family so I will make them a priority. I will care for pets in their home by abiding to there needs and schedule. I will do my best to make them feel secure.
“Cecelia was so great with our cats! Both Bunny and Eggy warmed up to her quickly and she was so patient with them. We'll definitely be booking them again!”

About: Hello! I’m June and live in Aldie. I have 2 dog of my own. I have been around dog since I was really young. I like to fresh cook food for my dog, make sure they are healthy and take them for a walk. When looking for a flexible part time job, I started searching ‘jobs with animals’ because I love animals ! This job allows me to be around different types of dogs and hang out with them and go for walks. ALL great things! I am so happy to take care of your pets while you are away. I love long walks, fetch over and over and over, and treating your pet how I would want my pet to be treated! I am currently working from home. So I have a lot of freedom, I am free on weekdays before 5pm. I can work around my clients need. I am a pet owner as well so I will like to treat my clients dog just like how I will like my fur baby to be treat. We lived in a townhouse so small dog is ideal for boarding.
About: I’ve had dogs, horses, and rodents, my whole life except a five year stint when I traveled. I have my own dog who’s three years old named Kevin. He’s the most spoiled boy! Kevin isn’t friendly with other dogs so I have plenty of experience walking dogs who need to avoid contact with other dogs. Please reach out with any questions! I look forward to meeting your furbabies and treating them like my own. I work during the day so I am available evenings and weekends. I have a slightly flexible schedule that allows me to be available early mornings. I will follow the pet owners guide to the letter. If you have a preferred walking path, I will take it. I always come equipped with poop bags, toys, and a first aid kit in case of emergencies. If I am caring for your pet in your home I will keep you updated with times, pictures, and a description of the care I provide.
“Jaelen did such a great job taking care of my bunny, Artie! She always left detailed reports after each visit and made sure to send plenty of pictures. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust to help with pet care!”

Jannatul is absolutely wonderful with our furbabies. She has such a calm and caring demeanour, which really puts our minds at ease whenever we travel overseas. My husband and I are particularly anxious about leaving our cats behind, but knowing they’re in Jannatul’s care gives us so much peace of mind. This is our second time using her services, and we will definitely be using her again. We highly recommend Jannatul to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and gentle with their pets.

This was our first time having Jackie assist us with our two cats while we were out of town. We have nothing but great things to say! We appreciate her experience with cats, and the attention to detail in learning the patterns of our fur babies - from their diet to the toys they like to engage with. We highly recommend Jackie and hope to use her services again in the future!

Nouf took great care of my senior dog and cat. She gave me peace of mind while my boyfriend and I were away. My cat ran out the door (because she’s crazy!) and she was able to quickly catch her and bring her back inside safely. Reliable, responsible, responsive, and gave detailed updates + lots of pictures! I would recommend her if you are looking for someone who can handle your furbabies!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in South Riding. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
