“Wow!!! Let me say, I've never been so pleased and impressed with a dog walker like I am with Lashawn. He takes such good care of my babies and when I come home, I legit have zero concerns. House clean, exactly the way I left it. Dogs fed and walked. Lots of photos which I personally appreciate. He is extremely reliable and trustworthy. I can really see that he loves what he does. Not letting this gem go! Thank you sir”

“Emily was so kind and amazing with our cats! It was so reassuring knowing our cats were in such good hands while we were away. I can't recommend Emily highly enough and can't wait to have her care for my cats again.”

“Lauren is the best! Always so helpful and respectful. She has been able to accommodate a few last minute requests for us too which is so helpful! We feel at ease leaving the cats in her care!”

“Abby was excellent with my cats! She took the time to meet up with me beforehand so I could show her how to give meds to my cat. The cats really enjoyed her company and I was so happy to have someone so caring to look after my senior cat.”

About: I’ve had dogs, horses, and rodents, my whole life except a five year stint when I traveled. I have my own dog who’s three years old named Kevin. He’s the most spoiled boy! Kevin isn’t friendly with other dogs so I have plenty of experience walking dogs who need to avoid contact with other dogs. Please reach out with any questions! I look forward to meeting your furbabies and treating them like my own. I work during the day so I am available evenings and weekends. I have a slightly flexible schedule that allows me to be available early mornings. I will follow the pet owners guide to the letter. If you have a preferred walking path, I will take it. I always come equipped with poop bags, toys, and a first aid kit in case of emergencies. If I am caring for your pet in your home I will keep you updated with times, pictures, and a description of the care I provide.
“Nouf took great care of my senior dog and cat. She gave me peace of mind while my boyfriend and I were away. My cat ran out the door (because she’s crazy!) and she was able to quickly catch her and bring her back inside safely. Reliable, responsible, responsive, and gave detailed updates + lots of pictures! I would recommend her if you are looking for someone who can handle your furbabies!”

“Daphne was fantastic and kept us up to date on our dog while we were gone! We even had a vase of flowers that somehow got spilt while we were gone and she cleaned all the water up without even saying anything to us. Thank you so much!!!”

“Our experience was excellent from start to finish. Tamara was responsible, attentive, and kept us updated with messages and photos throughout our trip. Both dogs were clearly well cared for and relaxed when we returned. Great communication and genuine care - we’ll definitely be booking again!”

“Samantha is fantastic! We have enlisted her help a few times now and she’s wonderful. I highly recommend reaching out to her to help you watch your pet! She has come by our home a few times and can be trusted!”

“I was able to get away for Thanksgiving knowing Mia was taking care of Tiger. He's 15, needs meds, and attention. Mia makes sure he gets everything he needs! She's very prompt, thorough, and sends the best photos and status report. I'm glad I found her here 💕”

“Amy helped me at the last moment to take care of my 18yo dog Sky due to a military obligation. She was caring, communicative, and loving to Sky. I WILL definitely use her again. Thanks!!!”

“Jannatul has been great! Even when I encountered an unexpected medical issue, she was flexible enough to cover my absence, even on short notice. I was fortunate to find her and I look forward to her next reunion with my cat Rascal.”

“Zachariah and Morgan take wonderful care of my cats! They are very communicative about how the cats are doing and always send pictures as well. I always feel comfortable going out of town knowing the kitties are in great hands!”

“We love having Jenna watch our pets. After having a phenomenal experience with her watching our cat for a week in May, we knew we wanted her to watch our dog as well. She gave both pets a ton of love and attention and went above and beyond. She even cleaned the litter box even though that wasn’t required-she deeply cares for the pets she takes care of!”

“Cecelia was so great with our cats! Both Bunny and Eggy warmed up to her quickly and she was so patient with them. We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing they were well taken care of and Cecelia gave us very thorough updates for each of her drop ins that made us feel reassured. We'll definitely be booking them again!”

This was our first time having Jackie assist us with our two cats while we were out of town. We have nothing but great things to say! We appreciate her experience with cats, and the attention to detail in learning the patterns of our fur babies - from their diet to the toys they like to engage with. We highly recommend Jackie and hope to use her services again in the future!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in South Riding. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
