“Tamara is absolutely incredible. We have been though a couple of walkers (they’ve been great too) however, Tamara is amazing. She goes above and beyond. She spends time working with my pup, communicates and gives helpful suggestions on how to get my pup to lower his anxiety. If I could give her 6 stars, I WOULD! Highly recommend!”

“Emily was fantastic! She had excellent communications, was extremely punctual and I was very comfortable with her taking care of Goober. Even better Goober absolutely loves her!!”

“Best dog walker/sitter out there. Daphne goes above and beyond when taking care of my pup. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of pet care services!”

“Ashley was an absolute angel watching my Romeo!! She was extremely thorough and followed my instructions to a T (there were many! Lol) she was inquisitive and took pride in being helpful and making sure my puppy was well taken care of. She was always early or on time and always gave my baby lots of love! I would and WILL be asking her to dog sit again! Thank you so much Ashley!! ⭐️”

“I'm so glad I found Nouf! She was punctual for every walk and kept me in the loop with photo updates. My dog was thrilled to see her again during her second visit. I’ll definitely be booking with Nouf again whenever the need arises.”

About: I have had dogs my entire life and love all animals. I work at a local dog boarding and doggy daycare facility so I have lots of experience with all sizes, ages and breeds of dogs. I will love your dog like they are my own and give them all the pets and playtime they need! I currently work part time so I have plenty of time to drop in and care for your dog(s) or take them for a walk. I’m local to the South Riding/Stone Ridge area. I will always make sure to treat your home with respect and care while dropping in with your dogs or taking them for their daily sniff around the neighborhood! I’m great at following instructions so I can care for your dogs the way you want them cared for.
“Cecelia & Andrew are the best!! They go above and beyond on walks with my girl - often spending more time with her than requested. They play with her, give her lots of love, and take her on special outings to get a pup cup! They always leave a thorough report with pics and videos too! Highly recommend 👌🏻”

“Amy has gone above and beyond to care for our dog, Lola. She really enjoys and takes great pride in what she does. She teaches new skills and is so caring. Her communication is great and she has our utmost trust. Definitely recommend!”

About: I have taken care of dogs ever since I was little. Starting with my first dog King, and my childhood dog Dodger. My boyfriend and his family also rely on me to take care of their Husky when they are at work and out of town. I have experience, walking, feeding, and giving baths to different size dogs. I truly enjoy what I do and love all animals. I am currently a college student, and when classes start most of mine will be online. I am available starting at 9 AM Monday through Friday. I have experience crating dogs if needed as well as having them out in the house. I make sure they get all of their energy out and take them out just in case they need to use the restroom before I put them in the crate. I’ll give them plenty of attention and play time. I can stick to whatever walk schedule you prefer!
“Sabrila has been great with Komi! She shows him a lot of love and attention. She’s very punctual and her communication skills are excellent! I really appreciate when she sends us pictures of Komi in action. LOL Please contact Sabrila, she’s the best pet sitter!!”

“Alexis was wonderful to work with. She sent me pics of my Mandy during their walks and she was very accommodating when I missed my flight and needed her for an additional walk. I would definitely use her again.”

About: Welcome Neighbor! 🐾 I'm happy to offer our space for your pup while you're away! Please note that while I mostly work from home I am required to go in office on THURSDAYS. My schedule is 8AM - 5PM. If you are scheduling a drop-off or pick-up on a Thursday it would need to be at 6PM or later. We have one senior dog with us who is gentle but prefers to keep to himself, he is typically hanging out with my husband in his office during the day. I do not board more than one dog at a time. Our condo is on the second floor, small patio space. Potty breaks occur at least 3 times a day with daily walks included. In our initial contact please specify if you require a meet and greet. I will take the time to read through your care details and may ask a few questions to ensure it is an all around good fit. Updated vet information is important to me, please have this visible on your profile if we do decide to book together. Look forward to speaking with you! I’m pretty flexible, I work from home (some weeks I will be required to go into the office either on a Tuesday or Thursday) so I will be available during the day to attend to the needs of your pet in the morning/mid-day/evening. The answers to this question are answered in my main description, feel free to ask questions in our initial contact if anything needs more clarification.
About: My family has always loved animals - I have taken care of quite a variety (cats, dogs, horses, and chickens!) since I was 6 years old. I can't wait to welcome your pet into our loving home - my goal is to make them comfortable, happy, and feel as loved as they do in their own home. My husband and I both work from home, so I'm able to give your pet lots of love and attention throughout the day. We will take regular walk and potty breaks, and when we're not outside they are welcome to curl up by our feet or follow us around the house. We are a loving home that will strive to meet your pets specific needs. I believe in routine, and will do my best to ensure that while your pet stays with us, they know what to expect and when.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - South Riding
Amy has been absolutely wonderful with Remy! Not only has she done an amazing job training her, but she genuinely loves and cares for her as if she were her own. We’ve noticed such a huge difference in Remy’s behavior, confidence, and overall progress since working with Amy. It’s clear that she is passionate, knowledgeable, and truly dedicated to the dogs she works with. We are so grateful for everything she’s done and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trainer who goes above and beyond!

Shelby has been a great dog walker for our two dogs. She walked our dogs while we were traveling and took them for long walks, gave them each specific medications, and alerted us when there was weather that could stress the dogs. She went above and beyond multiple times including to give them Benadryl before storms to help ease anxiety based on our instructions. She’s always responsive and communicative. We appreciate her taking such good care of our dogs!

Ivy was the absolute BEST dog walker for my young puppy for 3 consecutive weeks. My puppy loves her and felt safe with her. Ivy is very communicative and will take the cutest pictures of your pups while she’s with them. We can’t wait to rebook with her when she is back home from university. Thank you Ivy!

Tamara is absolutely incredible. We have been though a couple of walkers (they’ve been great too) however, Tamara is amazing. She goes above and beyond. She spends time working with my pup, communicates and gives helpful suggestions on how to get my pup to lower his anxiety. If I could give her 6 stars, I WOULD! Highly recommend!

I appreciate Eden‘s adaptability and care for our dogs. We had a glitch with our digital keypad that prevented her from getting into the house on time. She went above and beyond trying to reach me. Unfortunately, I was somewhere without a signal. Nevertheless, when we did connect, Eden came through, taking care of our dogs like a hero.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
