“Derek is great! He is very up front and honest with you, which I love! He cared for my pup Ertz today, and I really appreciate all he did. I have been nervous lately getting new sitters, as my consistent one is moving out of state, but Derek has made that transition so much smoother! Looking forward to using you again!”

“Leslie was amazing! She was able to walk our pup Hank in a last minutes time crunch. Sent pics and had great communication throughout the service. We will definitely work with Leslie again!”

“Maya has been great with my coonhound Stella. She & Maya seemed to bond instantly as Maya has a way with dogs. I'm looking forward to booking her more for the summer, she really cares about your dog. She's an excellent walker!”

“Vinnie is extremely communicative, response to emails/texts, and SO friendly. Our dog absolutely loves him and she is so happy to see him each morning. Vinnie is very professional and reliable and we can always count on him to be there for the scheduled days’ walk right on time and with a smile on his face. He also provides photos of the walk adventures which gives us great peace of mind. Highly recommend Vinnie!”

“Top of the charts, look no farther, this is your guy for any service he provides. We will 100% work with Alan again and will recommend him to our family/friends that could use his services. Alan is super professional, always on-time and did right by our dog. Alan walked our dog 2-3 times a week over a period of a few months. Over the months that passed, he was always flexible if needed on my end, was quick to respond to messages and is just a good person. Our dog can overheat pretty easy and one day while waiting for our boy to get back I saw Alan carrying him in his arms up the street. He didnt have to do what he did, but he forever indebted himself to us due to that act of profound kindness. Thank you my friend for helping take care of our boy, all the best to you!!”

“Carole is amazing with my dog. She worked to get my front door open and eventually was able to get in through the garage to get my boy out! She stayed a bit extra to ensure he got his bathroom and walk break in. Thanks!”

“Hana is a superb dog walker. She arrived on time and was gentle with our Patches, immediately connecting with her and putting her at ease. We will definitely be using her again and recommend to anyone needing a reliable and gentle person to handle your little fury one.”

About: I enjoy pet sitting and have tried to do it consistently as I can for the past 5 years. I am responsible and experienced. I have experience with domestic pets and turtles. I have a lot of experience with households with multiple dogs or a combination of pets such as cats and turtles or dogs and rabbits. I have other contract type jobs, but I really enjoy pet sitting and try to do it as much as possible. It is a consistent part of my week. I will always focus my energy on the pets in my clients home while I’m there. I will live my life on the schedule they are on to the best of my ability.
About: I’ve raised a pitbull from a puppy, and currently take care of a miniature poodle and rescued two abandoned dogs. I also had four cats. I am currently a homemaker, so I have plenty of time in the middle of the day to take care of animals five days a week. If your dog likes company, I can bring my miniature poodle, who is always happy to play and provide company to other dogs. I am in an apartment, which allows dogs.
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 14 years old. I've taken care of puppies all the to senior dogs. I have experience in walking, feeding, and and playing with my fur friends. I'm currently working part-time and doing school part-time as well. I'm free on the weekends and free after 3pm (6pm on Friday) on the weekdays except for Tuesday and Wednesday. I usually have the holidays off, so I can take care of pets during that time as well. Being a cat mom myself, I have toys, treats, scratch posts, and clay litter at my house for my cat. I always make sure to keep harmful objects or liquids away from my pet. I also make sure she gets plenty of pets and playtime throughout the day.
About: Hi! I’m currently a 28-year-old looking to make extra money to save for a future home by taking great care of any furry friends you might have. I was born and raised in this area, am bilingual, and have always had a soft spot when it comes to pets. I raised my 15-year-old Bichon Frise named Frosty (who passed away two years ago) and have a three-year-old doggo named Zuko so I am comfortable with pets of all ages and sizes! I’m responsible, organized, a great listener, and am very open to hearing all your pet’s needs and helping out as best as I can. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. Your babies will be in great hands :) Thank you! Schedule: I work a full-time, hybrid schedule (mostly remote) and am happy to work with you to ensure your pets get taken care of at the times that are best for you and them! Safety, trust, and environment: I think a key aspect of providing safety and trust is to be well aware of what exactly I’m walking into and what the pet is used to doing! For this reason, I like to speak with clients in detail regarding their pets needs beforehand so that I have a strong understanding of the pet. Similarly, you can expect more than just pictures/videos from me as I’ll send updates regarding your pet for any walk/drop in!

Candace did an amazing job walking Bruno and Oliver over Memorial Day weekend. Our dogs are definitely not the easiest walkers, but she was patient, attentive, and handled both of them really well. It gave us peace of mind knowing they were getting the care and attention they needed. We’ll definitely be booking Candace again in the future.

Anna is an amazing dog walker. She can handle big dogs like my German Shepherd. She’s always super communicative and is willing to accommodate to any special requests you might have. You can definitely trust your loved one with her — could not recommend her enough!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
