“Katie is a conscientious and caring dog-sitter. She did a great job establishing trust and providing emotional comfort to our dogs while we were away. One of our dogs is particularly anxious when we leave, and he responded well to Katie. Both of our dogs loved her. They received excellent care, and we appreciated the written updates and photos.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Keara was awesome! She totally got our orange kitties and their different personalities. Great communication and super easy to work with. We’ll definitely be booking her again—she’s our go-to sitter!”

About: With over 20 years of hands-on pet care experience, I provide compassionate, knowledgeable care tailored to each pet's unique needs. Whether your pet needs playtime, patience, medication, or extra TLC, you can count on me to provide dependable, experienced care that gives you peace of mind. I also have a friendly, well-socialized cat who has been around dogs for most of his life and is comfortable sharing his space with respectful canine guests. I always introduce pets thoughtfully and monitor interactions to help ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable. When caring for pets in a client's home, I respect your pet's established routine and environment. I'll follow your care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any special requests, so your pet receives consistent, loving care while you're away.
“Always reliable Maeghan takes excellent care of my tuxedo kitty. Great communication. She shows in so many ways she loves her job and cares above and beyond for our pets.”

“So communicative and such detailed updates. Riley took great care of our pups on super short notice and was a lifesaver. Our dogs took to her so quickly and made us feel so much more at peace. Thanks Riley!”

“Nicole is the best! She followed my specific instructions to a T. She is so thoughtful and communicative. It is such a comfort to know my fur babies are in such good hands.”

“Kaitlin was amazing! She took care of my two cats for a week and a half while I was away. They were very well taken care of, and Kaitlin sent lots of pics and updates. Would highly recommend!”

“Paige was great. She sent good feedback about how our little one was doing while we were gone. She spent time with her and sent some great photos. We would highly recommend her to anyone needing a sitter.”

“Manasa is so sweet and thorough in caring for my babies! She asked questions before, during, and after to ensure all their needs (and mine) were met. She promptly notified me when they were not on their best behavior. The picture updated really provided me with a peace of mind and I’ve already booked her for my next pet care. Thank you again so much for everything!”

About: I enjoy pet sitting and have tried to do it consistently as I can for the past 5 years. I am responsible and experienced. I have experience with domestic pets and turtles. I have a lot of experience with households with multiple dogs or a combination of pets such as cats and turtles or dogs and rabbits. I have other contract type jobs, but I really enjoy pet sitting and try to do it as much as possible. It is a consistent part of my week. I will always focus my energy on the pets in my clients home while I’m there. I will live my life on the schedule they are on to the best of my ability.
About: I have a one five year old dog now and have had so much fun training him over the past few years. I also owned a standard poodle for many years and am familiar with walking, feeding and training routines. I’ve also spent time caring for others dogs and know how those routines and needs change for each dog. Each dogs energy level and needs are different so I usually let the dog set the pace! I am working from home and may be available last minute, but it is largely dependent on the day. I’m active and enjoy being outside so dog walking is usually one of the best parts of my day! I am always trying to stay in tune with how a dog is feeling. Maybe they need a slower pace, faster pace or if they get chilly, it’s so important!
“Alan was requested last min. and was still able to accommodate my crazy last min planning. My Nola, is a medium size 8month old pitty. She's stuborn, yet sweet as can be, she feels intittled to belly rubs especially from new faces. Nola, tends to get annoyingly over excited with all new faces. She still has a leash pulling and jumping matter we are adressing in her dog academy training, non of those annoyances seemed to phase Alan one bit. He even came the same day I requested his services to meet Nola (all very last min.). I appreciate his flexibility, time managment, and most importantly communication curiosity (quick response time). I'm a single mother of an autistic little ball of 10yr old hyper sunshine 🌞 ... aswell as a full time Private Care for elderly and sick. Both work and personal life are very demanding. My son has been coming to work with me all last and this summer break. Alan made our summer end better with his services! I was finally able to take my son to Hershey Park, tickets which ive had since April. Bless you Alan! #dogsaver #worththebooking #verypleased #bookagainsoon”

“Golshan was professional and amazing with my cat! She sent lots of photos, was communicative, and provided updates with every visit. She went the extra mile and got pill pockets to medicate my cat when I didn’t leave any at the apartment. 10/10 recommend”

“Marianne did an excellent job caring for my animals while I was away! I appreciate the prompt responses and consistent communication, and my animals are happy and healthy! I will definitely hire her again.”
“Maria is the best pet sitter we've ever had, we didn't worry about our eight year old Shih-Tzu for a second. She took excellent care of Giz and kept us informed about his bodily functions and also his antics and playfulness. We couldn't be happier with her care of our pup.”

About: Hi, my daughter and I love taking care of dogs for walks and drop in visits. We will care for them as we would our own! Just had Allison taking care of my kitties for the first time, and she was extremely responsive to my various requests and clearly very comfortable with the cats. She also sent photos, communicated well, and asked when she wasn’t sure about something, making me more confident. And the house did not smell like cats when I returned! Would definitely rebook with her when I am next in need of cat care.

Jessica was the perfect pet sitter for our senior kitty while we were away. The old lady had her worst illness and first emergency vet trip at 17 yrs old the week before we left the country for two weeks. Jessica was so kind to monitor her food intake, potty status (and do some clean up), and give her meds while we were away. We are so grateful!

I couldn’t recommend Elisabeth more! Our cat is very picky and takes a while to get used to new people. Elisabeth always go above and beyond to help make Sage comfortable and that helps us enjoy our time away more! She always treats Sage to treats, play time, and extra love. She is always on time and someone we can rely on for our trips. She always includes pictures, details of the visit, and lets us know how Sage is doing. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Nalleli was wonderful! She accommodated my last-minute holiday weekend request and took great care of my three cats. She was very communicative, sent lots of pictures during the visit, and gave me peace of mind my cats were in good hands. I will definitely book with her again!

Katherine is a compassionate and conscientious sitter. My two dogs love seeing her and trust her. She makes an extra effort to follow instructions and to inquire with us if there are any concerns about the dogs. We have older dogs, and I had left a note about certain issues she might observe with one of the dogs. During visits, she attended to my dog with great care and monitored him closely to make sure he was fine before leaving from visits. She provides exceptional care, and we highly recommend her.

Colleen did a great job sitting for my two cats while one of them was sick. She gave me helpful updates, sent nice pictures and was also able to administer medicine. I felt really at ease after the first visit seeing how she was updating me, would definitely recommend her!

Laura has taken care of my two kitties on multiple trips and she has been wonderful. My cats are well taken care of and you can tell that she takes such good care of them with the photos that she sends and how happy they are when she shows up. Thank you so much, Laura!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
