“Katie provided excellent care to our dogs. She followed up with us to make sure we were informed on their behavior and any concerns. The dogs love Katie and feel safe and comforted by her. She is a great dog sitter!”

About: Hi! I'm a lifelong animal lover with years of hands on experience caring for pets. I grew up in a home full of animals and have owned five dogs and a cat, so I understand that every pet has their own unique personality, needs, and routine. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have been pet-sitting for family and friends extensively for the past few years, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. Whether it's walks, playtime, feeding, administering basic care, or simply providing companionship, I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I'll treat your pets with the same care, patience, and attention that I give my own. I look forward to meeting your pets! I'm currently working part-time at night so I'm available to walk or sit your dogs all day 7 days of the week. I've been caring for dogs of all sizes ranging from fully grown German Shepherds, Huskies, Pitbulls, Mutts, and Dachshunds just to name a few. So I'm able to manage all dogs, including multiple dogs at a time.
“Dobby recently had surgery and needed medication during the day. Since I had to work, I scheduled a drop-in visit with Maeghan. Dobby can be pretty timid and nervous, but Maeghan was so gentle and patient with him. He gradually opened up and was even able to go outside for a little bit. Thank you so much for taking such good care of him. I really appreciate it! 🐾”

“Kaitlin, thank you for taking care of Bagheera again! I appreciate the photos and updates. Thanks also for suggesting a great alternate sitter for the day you couldn’t care for her!”

“Laura was so wonderful! She gave updates every visit and was so great with my cat. I have never used a cat sitter before as I recently adopted, but will continue to use Laura in the future!”

“Nicole has always done a fantastic job taking care of my two cats, Sheba and Isis. She always takes very good care of my discus fish, which are notoriously difficult fish to keep. I admire her professionalism and appreciate her quality job. I highly recommend her!!”

“Kendall was very attentive and patient with Wookie and Butter Scotch. She definitely went the extra mile for them and was quick to communicate any issues. Highly recommended”

“Chelsea did an amazing job watching our two cats for 12 days! She administered medicine every day to both Hank and Zozo and she regularly checked/cleared the LitterRobot. She ALSO kept the outdoor food/water fresh and filled for our local strays. Chelsea communicated with me daily and sent cute photos/stories of our cats. I am incredibly grateful for how well she cared for them! I can’t recommend Chelsea enough and will be using her again for future trips!”

“Even though she came in for a simple drop in visit as I was out of the house the whole day, she still did a phenomenal job with feeding the animals, administering my cats specific medication, and walking my dog around the neighborhood! I also have a pet toad in which she helped feed him as well:) All in all, i recommend booking her for your pets!”
“Maria was great! She sent prompt updates and plenty of pictures. I was worried to leave my dog, but after the first update, I knew Maria had everything under control. When I got home it was like I'd never left. She asked thoughtful questions and even fed my fish! 5/5”

“Paige was great. She sent good feedback about how our little one was doing while we were gone. She spent time with her and sent some great photos. We would highly recommend her to anyone needing a sitter.”

“Alan was requested last min. and was still able to accommodate my crazy last min planning. My Nola, is a medium size 8month old pitty. She's stuborn, yet sweet as can be, she feels intittled to belly rubs especially from new faces. Nola, tends to get annoyingly over excited with all new faces. She still has a leash pulling and jumping matter we are adressing in her dog academy training, non of those annoyances seemed to phase Alan one bit. He even came the same day I requested his services to meet Nola (all very last min.). I appreciate his flexibility, time managment, and most importantly communication curiosity (quick response time). I'm a single mother of an autistic little ball of 10yr old hyper sunshine 🌞 ... aswell as a full time Private Care for elderly and sick. Both work and personal life are very demanding. My son has been coming to work with me all last and this summer break. Alan made our summer end better with his services! I was finally able to take my son to Hershey Park, tickets which ive had since April. Bless you Alan! #dogsaver #worththebooking #verypleased #bookagainsoon”

“Golshan was professional and amazing with my cat! She sent lots of photos, was communicative, and provided updates with every visit. She went the extra mile and got pill pockets to medicate my cat when I didn’t leave any at the apartment. 10/10 recommend”

“Marianne did an excellent job caring for my animals while I was away! I appreciate the prompt responses and consistent communication, and my animals are happy and healthy! I will definitely hire her again.”

About: After growing up with a minimum of three dogs in my family I have come to realize that dogs are one of the greatest joys in life! I’ve been dog sitting for friends and family for over 20 years and I have a 7 year old pup of my own named Rocket! Prior to Rocket I had a pup named Bender for 16 years before he crossed the rainbow bridge. I love all animals but dogs really do make the world a brighter, sweeter and more cuddly place. I’m comfortable with dogs from puppy age to senior though I do generally refer to all dogs as puppies! I’m currently working part time and have availability on the mornings and afternoons, Monday through Friday and can be available on weekends if needed. My roommate and I both have dogs so catering for pets in our home is not an option but I am able to house sit overnight in the client’s home.
The median cost per visit for pet sitting in Oak Hill is $20

I couldn’t recommend Elisabeth more! Our cat is very picky and takes a while to get used to new people. Elisabeth always go above and beyond to help make Sage comfortable and that helps us enjoy our time away more! She always treats Sage to treats, play time, and extra love. She is always on time and someone we can rely on for our trips. She always includes pictures, details of the visit, and lets us know how Sage is doing. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Nalleli was wonderful! She accommodated my last-minute holiday weekend request and took great care of my three cats. She was very communicative, sent lots of pictures during the visit, and gave me peace of mind my cats were in good hands. I will definitely book with her again!

Katherine is a compassionate and conscientious sitter. My two dogs love seeing her and trust her. She makes an extra effort to follow instructions and to inquire with us if there are any concerns about the dogs. We have older dogs, and I had left a note about certain issues she might observe with one of the dogs. During visits, she attended to my dog with great care and monitored him closely to make sure he was fine before leaving from visits. She provides exceptional care, and we highly recommend her.

Colleen did a great job sitting for my two cats while one of them was sick. She gave me helpful updates, sent nice pictures and was also able to administer medicine. I felt really at ease after the first visit seeing how she was updating me, would definitely recommend her!

Laura has taken care of my two kitties on multiple trips and she has been wonderful. My cats are well taken care of and you can tell that she takes such good care of them with the photos that she sends and how happy they are when she shows up. Thank you so much, Laura!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
