About: I grew up with a house full of pets including cats, dogs, and budgies. Currently I have my own cat Cloe and a turtle named Joe. I have experience caring for my elderly childhood cat who requires chemo pills, laxatives, and special food. Im currently searching for employment so my schedule is completely open. Can work weekends and weekdays at any time, preferably weekdays 10 am to 5pm. At my apartment I care for my 4 year old feline. She likes to play with her string toy and watch cat tv. Shes very food motivated so we always have treats on hand. At my parents house we have a fenced in backyard for the dog and lots of indoor space for their 4 cats. My childhood cat needs medication and special food so he is fed seperately from the other 3 cats. Every cat i've ever owend has been exclusively indoor.

About: I am a UVA grad who has trained many dogs including the two I have now, a border collie and a mutt, who are currently on vacation. I’ve taken care of many neighbors and family friends’ dogs of all ages as well, walking, feeding, and playing with them! I currently am not working as I am moving to Australia in October, so I am free almost any day and anytime to care for your dog! About: I’ve been around dogs since I was a young child, and have a deep love for animals. I have two fur babies of my own: one since he was puppy and the other since he was 1. I trained them both, and especially offered additional support and love to my one dog who was a rescue after being a surrender. I have incredible patience, and offer a safe, healthy, and loving environment for your precious fur baby. I currently work from home full time so your fur baby will never be deprived of attention. I have lots of dog toys, 2 dogs who are wonderful with other dogs, so your pup will have lots of stimulation. We will be sure to go on plenty of walks to get fresh air and time outside. Although I do not have a fenced yard, your pup will not have to worry about getting time outside. We will take plenty of walks. My 2 dogs are very social and love to interact with other dogs. If I am coming into your home, I will follow all directions you provide, and ensure your fur baby feels comfortable.

Excellent Rover. My family needed a Rover VERY last minute to take care of our cat. Mallory was responsive, kind, courteous and easy to work with. We tend to like to do a meet and greet before hiring a Rover but didn’t have time this go round. Mallory put us at ease with how easy she was to work with!
We had a wonderful experience with Karen! She was very communicative and took excellent care of our 3 cats while we were out of town and truly put our minds at ease. Our cats tend to be shy around new people, but they loved snuggling up with Karen! Thank you for going above and beyond!
I used Carole for the first time and she was fantastic. She’s so kind and easy to talk to, she became an Instant friend. She was dependable, responsive, and took such great care of pickles. He’s a timid cat and she was able to get him out on his own and within a day was getting belly rubs and looking forward to her arrival. She encouraged play and left little treats around the house for him to find, keeping him active while I was away. I will definitely use her again.
Courtney took incredible care of our four kitties while we were out of town for the weekend! We hadn't used Rover before so were a bit nervous when we were first searching for a sitter, but she came over for a meet-and-greet before we left and gave us detailed updates with lots of photos each time she came over to take care of them. 100% would recommend, amazing experience, will be booking with her again!
Anthony did a great job taking care of Deuce while I was away! He was reliable, communicative, and followed all of the instructions I left for Deuce’s feeding, walks, and daily routine. Having a high-energy GSP can be a lot, but Anthony handled him really well and made me feel comfortable knowing Deuce was being taken care of. He kept me updated throughout the trip, was dependable with the scheduled check-ins, and gave Deuce the attention and exercise he needed. I came home to a happy and well-cared for dog, which is exactly what you want when trusting someone with your pet. I really appreciate Anthony’s help and would definitely trust him with Deuce again. Fatima was wonderful with Hyori! She was punctual, responsible, kept us updated, and sent pictures throughout our trip. We were especially nervous about Hyori’s insulin, but Fatima followed all of our instructions perfectly and made sure she ate, got her shot, and had plenty of playtime. We felt very comfortable knowing Hyori was in such great hands. We would definitely hire Fatima again!
We highly recommend Susannah for your pet sitting needs, she is wonderful. She took care of all 3 of our pets as well as our fish! She was thorough in the feeding, cleaning up after, etc. and was in constant communication every day. She is wonderful, book her!!! 😀😁

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
