“I have been nervous for a while to use rover for my two kitties and Allison coming and staying at my house showed me why I did not need to be worried! Allison loved and cared for my cats so much! She gave them their daily medicines with food, worked with my automatic litter boxes, and most importantly played and loved on them so much! She was very very communicative and responsive and also sent me so many cute pictures! I always miss my cats so much when I’m gone so this helped me a lot! I also frequently asked how things were going and Allison was very responsive which helped reassure me! She also left my home neat and tidy how it was left for her which was nice to come home to! Allison rocks and I am so appreciative to have someone so kind and thoughtful taking care of my pets! About: I’ve grown up in a home with multiple pets and have extensive experience caring for animals. Over the years, neighbors and friends have trusted me to care for their pets while they were away. I’m also a four-time foster parent with the Rockingham-Harrisonburg SPCA, where I’ve cared for animals in need and helped prepare them for adoption. I currently work full-time during the week, but I’m fully available on weekends to give your furry family my complete attention and care! I’m available anytime after 5:00 PM on Fridays through Sundays. I’m a true animal lover and will care for your furry family members as if they were my own. About: I've taken care of dogs since I helped my mom with her dog boarding business in 2020 and since then have taken care of a multitude of both young and old dogs. I will NOT take last minute requests without a meet & greet. I'm used to picking up after those without potty training or those with stomach issues and sympathizing over those sweet pups. I currently have a very flexible schedule over the summer and am available for dog sitting, pet care, and house sitting throughout the week and weekends. I have experience interpreting canine body language and understanding breed-specific needs, including the specialized care required for brachycephalic breeds and barrel-chested breeds. We had an excellent experience and Tyler was amazing. This was the first time we had someone watch our dog in our home and Barley seemed very happy. She is very anxious when we leave and is reactive to thunder storms and dogs. We were gone a week and there were several storms and her walks took her past several dogs; Tyler handled everything extremely professionally and we came home to calm and happy pup (he left us some guidance for those times, which we will implement). He sent pictures and kept us informed on a daily basis. Tyler was very respectful of our house and we returned to it looking better than when we left. I highly recommend Tyler, without reservation. From the start, she was incredibly thorough, thoughtful, and attentive to detail. She didn’t just follow instructions — she truly cared about our dogs and their experience. She made sure to check them for ticks, kept us updated, and was very proactive in making sure they were safe and happy. What impressed us the most was her flexibility and dedication. When she realized that the dogs needed a few extra visits, she adjusted her schedule without hesitation. That level of attentiveness and willingness to adapt gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. But the biggest sign of how amazing she is? When we came home, Ren and Quin were happy, relaxed… and honestly didn’t even seem that excited to see us because they had such a great time with her! 😂 That says everything. Jen is someone who genuinely loves animals and treats them like her own, and it shows in every interaction. We feel incredibly lucky to have her as our neighbor and our dog sitter. The absolute best! So sweet, kind, and genuinely caring, my kittens were so happy and comfortable with her. This was my very first time ever using a house sitter, and also our first time having kittens, so we truly didn’t know what to expect, especially since both kittens had just been spayed and neutered. Melianna went above and beyond. Even on Easter, she was there for us, consistently checking in and sending updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. Evan is a wonderful pet sitter. My dog and cats were happy and calm when I arrived home after a week. The house was more organized than when I left.
