About: I’ve grown up in a home with multiple pets and have extensive experience caring for animals. Over the years, neighbors and friends have trusted me to care for their pets while they were away. I’m also a four-time foster parent with the Rockingham-Harrisonburg SPCA, where I’ve cared for animals in need and helped prepare them for adoption. I currently work full-time during the week, but I’m fully available on weekends to give your furry family my complete attention and care! About: I've taken care of dogs since I helped my mom with her dog boarding business in 2020 and since then have taken care of a multitude of both young and old dogs. I will NOT take last minute requests without a meet & greet. I'm used to picking up after those without potty training or those with stomach issues and sympathizing over those sweet pups. I currently have a very flexible schedule over the summer and am available for dog sitting, pet care, and house sitting throughout the week and weekends. In addition to caring for dogs and cats, I have experience with other animals as well and am always willing to learn about the proper care and handling of different species. About: I always lead with patience and care. Animals are clear communicators and we just need to listen. I am medically trained (for humans primarily), but I know those skills and knowledge are highly transferable. I work primarily in a hospital. Even though my schedule is consistently changing, I have multiple days off during the week. This allows me to visit anytime throughout the days im off and leaves a lot of flexibility. Respect is key. Whether its for the pet or the home, I believe all things should be approached respectfully and mindfully. I am happy to follow whatever house rules or pet routines you may have.

Ellie was amazing with our pets! Due to a family death we had to adjust out pet sitting schedule and Ellie was flexible, which we greatly appreciated. Claire did a GREAT job taking care of our two little terriers. She followed all our instructions perfectly and kept us updated with pictures all day long. She was on time and left our house just as she found it. The dogs were not stressed at all when we got home, so we knew they were happy being in Claire’s care. The absolute best! So sweet, kind, and genuinely caring, my kittens were so happy and comfortable with her. This was my very first time ever using a house sitter, and also our first time having kittens, so we truly didn’t know what to expect, especially since both kittens had just been spayed and neutered. Melianna went above and beyond. Even on Easter, she was there for us, consistently checking in and sending updates, which gave me so much peace of mind.
