About: After proudly serving in the military, I decided it was time for a change. Changing careers has opened up my schedule, giving me the opportunity to fill my time with activities I truly enjoy—especially spending quality time with the purest type of love you can get from your fur babies. I have a natural instinct to be protective. Your fur babies will be in good hands with me. I’m comfortable staying calm and stepping in when situations become stressful, including separating dogs if a conflict occurs. I also have some background experience in law enforcement. The reason I mention this is because, with me, you’re not only getting a dog sitter—you’re also getting someone you can trust to look after your home while you’re away. Safety is always my number one priority to those around me. As you look through my photos, you’ll notice several dogs I’ve known and cared for since they were puppies. I’ve taken care of dogs belonging to family, friends, and coworkers over the years. This is simply my first time offering those services through an app. I’d be more than happy to share stories about some of my favorite four-legged friends if you’d like to continue the conversation. They all hold a special place in my heart, and I genuinely loved spending time with them. The Siberian Husky in the photos is my sweet fur baby, Niko. It has been a couple of years since his passing, but he will always have a special place in my heart. Niko was a very loving and gentle Husky. He got along with everyone, loved wrestling with other dogs at the dog park, and enjoyed going on long walks. He was also by my side through some of the hardest times in my life. I’m not quite ready to take on the full responsibility of owning another dog, but I would absolutely love the opportunity to build a special bond with your fur baby. I hope to give them the same love, attention, and companionship I gave Niko. Working a full time job. I can possibly do Thursday evenings. I have some Fridays off/get off early from work. I’m off Saturdays and Sundays. I can be even more flexible, depending on location. I have had dogs stay with me in the past, but I am currently renting and unable to provide that service as of now. I’ve had two dogs, and both taught me a lot. My first, Ed, was an 80-pound American Foxhound rescued as a suspected abandoned hunting dog who had never lived indoors. Together we worked through house training, leash manners (no more yanking), a fear of stairs (which involved carrying him up three flights until he stopped being scared), and a distaste for rain. His name was not what he was rescued with, but he was clearly always an Ed. With my second dog, Kovu, I spent a lot of time on socialization with other dogs and on keeping him calm and quiet when left alone. Because of that, I’m patient with nervous, rigid, big dogs, and dogs still learning the rules. I know that consistency and a calm presence go a long way. All Creatures Welcome! Jessica is so SO good with my nervous cats. By the second day if her stay our older kitty was hanging out with Jessica and keeping her regular lounging schedule. Jessica is communicative, friendly, professional, and good with nervous kitties that need extra care and medications. Kaitlin took care of my Golden Retriever Miles for 3 weeks in September. She was supposed to stay with Miles at my house but my AC went out the day before I left. Kaitlin was flexible and resourceful. When needed she took Miles to her place and she helped me coordinate the repair. Kaitlin is a good communicator and very responsible. I feel fortunate to have chosen Kaitlin for this long sit and would definitely use her again.
We love using Lorene for our vacations as she takes great care of them. They are senior dogs so they require additional care and Lorene has no problem making adjustments. Recently our youngest dog, Tater, had eye surgery to remove his eye and he is having challenges seeing. Lorene was able to help him go through our doggie door as well as up the 2 kitchen steps. Lorene keeps us well informed and sends us the cutest pictures during the stay. She genuinely cares for them as if they were her own. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND her for all your pet needs.
Jennifer was so kind and professional. Our dog Stax, who can be anxious with new sitters, was immediately comfortable with her due to her calm demeanor. We’ve used plenty of dog sitters over the years, and Ashley is hands down the best we’ve ever had. A few things that made her stand out: Incredible Communication: She kept us updated throughout the day, and waking up every morning to cute photos of our pups gave us complete peace of mind. Treated Our Pups Like Royalty: The dogs were so happy, loved, and well cared for. Honestly, when we came home, I’m pretty sure they were glad to see us but a little disappointed it wasn't Ashley walking back through the door! Treated Our Home Like Her Own: She brought in all our mail and packages, washed her sheets, and did all the dishes. Coming back to a completely spotless house was such an amazing feeling after traveling. We will never look for another dog sitter unless she happens to be unavailable. We cannot recommend Ashley enough!
