“Forest was super patient with our dog, Carmela, who tends to be nervous around new people. They were super communicative with me and made sure Carm had everything she needed. Thanks again!!”

“Fatima has been walking my 13-year old lab mix, Kona, weekdays for a month. She’s wonderful at keeping me up-to-date about my precious old lady with pictures and messages every day. I work 30 minutes from home so I’m thankful Fatima comes over to check in on Kona and take her for a walk every day.”

“Mel was so great with Jack! It’s so clear that she loves dogs and they love her too. She’s now my go to for all the dog walking and care needs I need help with. Can’t recommend enough”

“Natassia is wonderful and Storm absolutely loves her! Storm had already met Natassia because we live in the same building, but Natassia took the time to come for a meet and greet and get familiar with our apartment and Storm's things. It was our first time leaving her alone for so long and Natassia sent us updates and photos and we're pretty sure Storm had a great time. We'll definitely book with Natassia again in future and would highly recommend her!”

“Alex has been absolutely great with my pup! She’s a bit slow to warm up but he was very patient and listened to her cues! Having him walk her during the day is a huge help! I will definitely continue to work Alex.”

“From my dog ARES’ responses, I know he likes Joshua and enjoyed the walking with him. He arrived on time and took care of Ares’ poop and pee-pee during the walk. I will book with him again in the future.”

“Adelle is a great dog walker - she shows up on time and always gets the job done. I would recommend her to anyone seeking a pet sitter - she does a great job with my baby chihuahua Peaches. Because of her my little pup actually got potty trained faster and doesn’t go to the bathroom inside anymore.”

“Teju did a great job with Luna, who instantly liked her. Teju was kind, attentive, and clearly great with dogs. I felt very comfortable leaving Luna in her care and would absolutely recommend her.”

“Kelly is a superb walker for my little Mimi. She takes great care of Mimi's well being, especially on these cold days, and has built a wonderful loving and playful relationship with her. Thank you Kelly!”

About: I have had dogs my whole life and I enjoy taking them on walks or caring for their other needs. I have owned both big dogs and small dogs as well as senior dogs and puppies! I do not have a traditional work schedule so I am available for most times that you may be at work! I will fit in any pets that need care when I am not at work. I will follow all instructions that you leave for your pet to know how they feel comfortable in your own and around others. I want to treat your pet and your space properly!
About: I've taken care of dogs since I helped my mom with her dog boarding business in 2020 and since then have taken care of a multitude of both young and old dogs. I will NOT take last minute requests without a meet & greet. I'm used to picking up after those without potty training or those with stomach issues and sympathizing over those sweet pups. I currently have a very flexible schedule over the summer and am available for dog sitting, pet care, and house sitting throughout the week and weekends. I strive to be as flexible, reliable, and accommodating as possible to meet the needs of both pets and their owners. The safety, comfort, and well-being of every animal in my care is always my top priority. I have experience interpreting canine body language and understanding breed-specific needs, including the specialized care required for brachycephalic breeds and barrel-chested breeds. I am attentive to each pet’s individual temperament, routines, and stress signals to help create a safe and positive environment. I am comfortable administering medications, handling accidents or cleanups, and adapting to the unique needs of each pet. In addition to caring for dogs and cats, I have experience with other animals as well and am always willing to learn about the proper care and handling of different species. My goal is to provide dependable, compassionate care while giving pet owners peace of mind that their animals are in safe and capable hands.
“Danna was such a lifesaver this week! I had a major logistical issue, but she was really gracious to accommodate me and my dog. My dog really, really likes walking with Danna, too. Fantastic!”

“Christina was so easy to work with! She took great care of our puppy and was very understanding of his puppy-ness ? She was willing to do a meet and greet before our first walk, and sent me plenty of updates when she was at the house. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

All I can say is, Alex. Alex is the man with the master plan. Communication is key and Alex unlocked it. Thank you for taking great care of my baby love. There’s nothing more scary than leaving your prize with someone to care for and does an exceptional job. I will rebook Alex again and again. Bravo!!

Skyler is absolutely amazing! She cares for my dog while I am away at work and ensures she gets a full mile walk in just a half hour. She shares all the droppings my pup performs and sends pictures every time. It’s a shame she is only here for the summer because I would happily hire her year round.

Adelle was amazing! I booked her to walk my dog twice a day while I was working and unfortunately my dog had a rare accident in the house. Adelle saw it and picked it up even when she didn’t have to!! I know my dog loved being walked by her because she was waiting by the door at the times I setup even when I got home!

We had an amazing experience with Morgan! She was incredibly patient, attentive, and kind with our 6-month-old puppy, which gave us so much peace of mind. Our pup came back happy, calm, and clearly well cared for every time. You can tell Morgan genuinely loves dogs and understands puppy behavior. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring dog walker.

Jen was the absolute best! She let me know exactly how the dogs were doing, shared photos, any concerns she had, and gave them plenty of love. Much are high energy so she came over before I went out of town and took notes. I left her with a lot of notes as well that she clearly studied to care for them! She followed all instructions and was very kind with her remarks. I’d recommend her over any other dog alter or pet sitter I have had using rover. Extremely reliable and communicative!

Will was fantastic with our dog Lucy. He made us feel completely at ease knowing she was being cared for at the highest level. Lucy loved him and we enjoyed reading his detailed Rover Cards with great photos. We will definitely use him again and recommend him to all of our friends.

Josh was great with Louis! He took the time to meet him ahead of the scheduled walks, which really helped Louis familiarize with him. He was punctual, communicative, and always made sure Louis got the walk he needed. I appreciated the updates and photos after each walk. Highly recommend Josh to anyone!

- 89% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
