About: Hi! My name is Natasha (formally), but I go by Natalie or Nat. I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 15 years old alongside working in a veterinary hospital. I am willing to administer medications if need be and am happy to spend as much time with your furry friend as necessary! Let me know how I can help you help them. My schedule is very flexible, which allows me to prioritize each pet’s individual needs. I’m available throughout the day for walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and companionship, and I can easily adjust my schedule to accommodate morning, afternoon, evening, or weekend care. I enjoy building a consistent routine for the pets I care for so they feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away. I care for every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. I follow each owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications (if needed), playtime, and any special routines that help pets feel at ease. I also make sure they get plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and potty breaks throughout the day. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space by keeping everything clean and secure, providing regular updates and photos, and ensuring their pet’s routine stays as consistent as possible. My goal is to give both pets and their owners peace of mind by providing reliable, attentive, and compassionate care.
About: Hi! I'm a recent UVA graduate and an experienced pet sitter who loves spending time with animals. I've completed two separate month-long pet sitting stays and have experience caring for dogs. I look forward to giving your pets the same love and care they'd receive at home! I'm very flexible and have open availability throughout the week, including weekdays and weekends. I'm available Sunday through Sunday at all hours of the day and can accommodate a wide range of schedules, whether you need early morning walks, midday check-ins, evening visits, overnight care, or last-minute bookings. I'm happy to work with your schedule to ensure your pets receive reliable, attentive care whenever you need it. I can take care of dogs and cats however is needed. I can walk them, play with them, feed them, anything that is needed! I love animals and I'm excited to help out!
“From my dog ARES’ responses, I know he likes Joshua and enjoyed the walking with him. He arrived on time and took care of Ares’ poop and pee-pee during the walk. I will book with him again in the future.”

About: Hi there, for the past 7 years I have been a social worker, most recently working with at-risk youth. I love spending time with animals and am hoping to spend more time with them in my downtime. I've owned cats and dogs for the past 25 years. I currently have 2 cats: Teddy and Noggin who are both 8 years-old. I've been pet sitting for the past 11 years and enjoy the joy it brings. I am great at paying attention to detail, dependable, responsible, and on time. I am super reliable, highly responsible, very loving and patient with animals, communicate well, and know basic pet first aid. I am available any weekday evening and am available during the day on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. I am typically close to home on the weekends and can easily fit pet sitting in then as well! I have two cats that are indoor only with balcony access. My cat, Noggin, has heart disease and I am comfortable administering pills and treats. I have cared for dogs that have been crate trained and am comfortable putting them in crates when leaving. I have also administered medicine to dogs in the form of a pill pocket or food (peanut butter/cheese).
“Bristol, is an incredible dog walker. She constantly kept me updated on how the walks went with the notes and pics. She went above and beyond with her commitment to walking my dog. Walking her in snow, and extreme cold and windy conditions. She made leaving my pets for a week 1000% less stressful knowing they were in kind and good hands. I would 1 million percent book with her again for future trips. Thank you Bristol!!!”

“Brianne is WONDERFUL! Always punctual and reliable for my two dogs. We’re so grateful to have her take care of our two dogs. Our two dogs are not the easiest and she’s been nothing but patient with them. Thank you Brianne!!”

“Teju did a great job with Luna, who instantly liked her. Teju was kind, attentive, and clearly great with dogs. I felt very comfortable leaving Luna in her care and would absolutely recommend her.”

“Forest was super patient with our dog, Carmela, who tends to be nervous around new people. They were super communicative with me and made sure Carm had everything she needed. Thanks again!!”

“Briar took great care of Junior. In the days that were hot, she found shade and kept him cool and happy playing with water. She also communicated well and followed the instructions we left. We look forward to having Briar care for our pup again.”

About: I’ve taken care of neighbors and family friends dogs for almost 7 years now, and each of them have a special place in my heart. Currently, I am in grad school and my schedule this semester involves me being in class in the morning until noon. I would benefit from a week notice for housesitting and at least 3 to 5 day notice for dog walking and check-ins. I think it’s super important to trust the person taking care of you pups, and the pets I care for are treated with endless love. I will do anything to ensure your fur baby is always safe and sound. I take daily photos, up to 2-3 times a day to ease pet parents anxieties and show them that their babies are having fun and doing great. Each family is different but no matter how small or big the schedule/regimen is, I will complete it.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
