“Samantha is wonderful! She has a great calming presence which helps put my anxious dog at ease. My non-anxious dog took to her right away and they love seeing their walk friend :) Highly recommend Samantha as a reliable and trustworthy person.”

“Sarah was amazing as a dog walker for my pups! She was very responsive, came exactly on time for the walk, and was clearly so sweet and loving with both of my dogs! One of my pups is quite shy and Sarah spent extra time with her to get her comfortable before the walk which was above and beyond amazing. Will absolutely book with her again in the future!”

“On short notice Han stepped in to walk my dog, and was so flexible with scheduling. Highly recommend her to care for your animals. Great communication and photos! Will definitely use her again.”

“Michael was wonderful. He listened to instructions perfectly and always kept me informed. He made sure to mix up our dog, Jackson’s, walks and exercise to ensure he was having fun every day. Will certainly ask to have Michael care for our dog again, if needed.”

“Cassie has been very caring and communicative. She came the day before to meet our dog and ensure Roxy was comfortable with her. She gave us extra details on the walk and Roxy's well-being. Very much appreciated. Thank you.”

“Today was our first time meeting Seth - very nice guy and super well versed in animal care and bigger dogs like my boy, Ghost. Knew exactly how to handle Ghost’s excitement and occasional stubbornness. Informative and willing to work with my schedule and even help out with training!! Can’t wait for Ghost to have a new best friend while I’m busy at work (:”

“Brianne has been great to work with and we use her services every week. I love that she provides a detailed report card and photos for each walk. She's very responsive and wonderful with my dog!”

About: Even though this is my first time using this site; I am ready to accept this new challenge. A little about myself is, I love animals! I work a nurse schedule so I have the freedom of being able to share my free time spending them with your lovely furr friends. I am a cat person as well as a dog person. I am very patient and caring to all. I have great time management skills so I can efficiently get everything any dog owner needs me to do at a reasonable time frame. I will treat each and every dog with lots of love and attention as if they were my own !! I am very social so I will definitely love to play endlessly with any dog I take care of. I am very excited and eager to start this new adventure in my life ! I am currently working three times a week. This gives me the liberty to provide any dog or cat services on my days off !! What I provide is a safe environment that is appropriate to each pet. I would care for each pet the same way as if they were my own. With the up-most love and care.

“Let me tell you about Cleo’s best friend Monique!!!! I went on a last minute trip and had to leave Cleo behind for the first time. I was SO anxious and felt super guilty about leaving her alone. Monique was very diligent about showing up, sending reports, and following my tedious instructions about leaving the TV on/moving our coffee table for our roomba lol. I felt like she actually wanted to be there and love on Cleo. Cleo loves tug of war and Monique would play with her literally every time she visited and made sure she got her treat’o’s. I’m glad I don’t have to go through the trial and error process of finding our go to dog sitter for Cleo! I’ll be contacting her very soon for their next play date.”

About: I’ve spent several years caring for pets of all ages, and I also have three dogs of my own, ranging from 3 to 15 years old. Because of this, I understand the daily care, patience, and love that pets need. My senior dog can no longer walk, so I’m very familiar with mobility challenges, extra support, and the attention older pets require. I’m comfortable with all kinds of personalities and energy levels, and I’m especially welcoming and patient with pets who may be more anxious or slow to warm up. I’m reliable, communicative, and always provide regular updates so you feel reassured. I treat every pet with the same care and compassion I give my own. I am currently home from college for the summer and I have a very flexible schedule. I am available for drop-ins, feeding, walks, and playing. It will give me structure to my day and let me spend time doing something I genuinely enjoy. I follow owners instructions closely, and make sure to give their pet plenty attention. If that is feeding schedules, medications, special preferences, I will make sure I accommodate to them.
“Kimberly is great! She has a joyful energy and a helpful spirit. Luna, who can be timid with initial walks, was happy to go along with her, and Luna is always calmer when I come home from work. Kimberly handled Luna and her muzzle like a pro- I would recommend Kimberly to anyone!”

“Trent is absolutely wonderful. He made going away for a weekend without our two large dogs stress free. Trent gave us detailed messages about how each of their walks went, followed all of our guidelines and it was easy to tell our dogs trusted him and enjoyed his company. He handled our reactive 80lbs dog with grace and ease. We would recommend him to anybody! One of the most reliable and easy experiences we’ve had with someone else caring for our pups. 10/10 would recommend!”

About: I’ve taken care of family dogs almost my whole life. I’ve been trusted to walk, feed and play with them. I am not a professional trainer but can adapt to help with the process! I’m currently a student at college but only go in for one class so have a lot of free time all day! I am very flexible. I will not be doing in home care but overall I will be making sure leashes are snug on and all doors closed within reach of the pet.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Strathmeade Springs
This was my first experience using Rover, and I couldn’t be happier. Cassie was amazing, and I sincerely hope she is always available to walk/board my Labrador when I need her. From our first meeting I could tell she genuinely loves dogs. She is trustworthy, reliable, provides timely communication and was a joy to work with. Rover is very lucky to have her on their team.

Sarah was amazing as a dog walker for my pups! She was very responsive, came exactly on time for the walk, and was clearly so sweet and loving with both of my dogs! One of my pups is quite shy and Sarah spent extra time with her to get her comfortable before the walk which was above and beyond amazing. Will absolutely book with her again in the future!

Sophie is responsive to requests and communicated very well. She was accommodating for a kind of last minute request and also let me know how things went afterward. I was happy she was available to give my pup a midday trip outside and some nice attention too. She listened to everything I shared about Elli and her habits & was very comfortable. Thanks, Sophie!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
