“Juan took care of our Bruno during a week long trip with twice a day walks in our neighborhood and he was attentive to Bruno’s physical and social needs. He followed instructions well without being able to meet in person. He communicated throughout our trip and made sure we knew if anything came up out of the normal. He offered reasonable adjustments to schedule based on what he saw fitting for Bruno. I could tell that Juan cared for Bruno and Bruno was in good hands. My housemate told me that Bruno was more excited to see Juan than anyone else in the house. As long as Juan is available I will look to him to take care of Bruno when needed.”

“We have had our pup stay with Colleen and Sean in the past and they were very helpful to us when we needed a walk in a pinch. They provided excellent communication throughout the process, were on-time, and took care of our pup in some poor weather. We appreciated their assistance and we would walk or stay with them again.”

“Absolutely thrilled with Ozge dog walking services! She’s incredibly trustworthy, always respectful with my dog, and does an excellent job every time. She spends the time to get my dog tired and sends multiple pictures each time. Her communication is prompt and clear, which makes everything so easy. I highly recommend her to any dog parent looking for a reliable walker. Highly recommend for anyone looking in falls church to walk or watch their dog!”

“Molly did a great job walking/visiting our goldendoodle this week! She was really responsive, left great messages and photos, and gave our pup the love and attention she needed. We will book her again!”

About: I’ve loved all kinds of animals my entire life. Cats, dogs, hamsters, mice, birds, fish, chickens, you name it! Right now I have a sweet black kitty cat and a self-important chihuahua. Keeping multiple personalities happy is my superpower. Your pet is about to get SO much love and attention. We're talking belly rubs, treats (with your permission, obviously), and someone who can make them feel so special and loved while you're away! I can do medication schedules, I can do endless fetch, I can do "please just sit next to me while I exist" whatever your baby needs. I currently work from home so I have the flexibility to pop over to your house and be a friendly presence and go on walks whenever! I always start by learning your pet's routine, preferences, and quirks so I can keep things as familiar and comfortable as possible for them. Whether it's sticking to their feeding schedule, keeping up with walks and playtime, or just being there for cozy hangout time, I follow their lead. I'm great about communication. You'll get regular updates and photos so you know how things are going. And if anything seems off with your pet's behavior or health, I'll let you know right away. Whether I'm caring for your pet at your home or just swinging by for a walk, my focus is the same: keeping your pet safe, happy, and well-loved until you're reunited. 🐾

“Allison was very good at communicating before the visit and was great with Pip, and Pip seemed very happy after her walk! We’ll definitely be booking Allison again”

“Isabelle walks my goldendoodle furchild every day and she’s such an important part of Maya’s life. To start, she’s super communicative and reliable, which makes it really easy to plan and coordinate walks and dogcare with her. She was also great about learning what behaviors we try to reinforce, Maya’s habits and routines and what Maya eats, which gives me the warm and fuzzies that as a parent, aunt Isabelle is staying consistent with dad’s rules. Isabelle is so great with dogs and has good judgment generally; seeing how she interacts with Maya and hearing her describe how Maya did on a given walk, I trust her implicitly. Lately she’s been really helpful in figuring out fun new walking routes or destinations that cater to Maya’s interests and mood and energy level. Yep Isabelle is a wonderful dog “auntie” and just a delightful human being. I don’t know what her advertised rates are on here, but you should pay them and then some. Isabelle, get after it girl. Charge people what you’re worth! ?”

“Manuel was wonderful with my dog. He needs a little time to warm up to new people and Manuel went out of his way to spend extra time making sure Tigger felt comfortable. I will be using Manuel's services again for sure.”

“Lianna has been great so far with Tucker! First and foremost, she really impressed me with our meet and greet. Asking such thoughtful questions, she showed how dedicated she was to providing the absolute best care to Tucker! With every walk since, Lianna has been diligent about updating me and even going as far as working on some training with Tuck. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and kind care provider for their fur babies!”

About: As a grad student, I can’t have a dog of my own right now, so I'd love the opportunity to give yours all the walks, love, and attention they deserve! I grew up with a dog and have past experience working with shelter dogs, helping with training and rehabilitation, so if your dog needs some extra TLC, I'm happy to provide that as well. I make sure to schedule my time so that your dog gets consistent care and attention. Please feel free to send a message regarding my availability! Keeping your dog safe and comfortable is very important to me. I always double-check locks, doors, and leashes. I also value clear communication; any details about your dog’s preferences or personality help me provide the best care! Please let me know if your dog is reactive, pulls at the leash, or prefers quieter routes.
About: Ever since I was little, I have been known to care extra for the animals and creatures around me. I can remember helping out with family friends' dog, cat, or horse feedings fairly early on in my life. I have petsitting experience as well as internship experience at Ark Veterinarian Hospital, where I completed a 6-week full-time internship shadowing Dr. Kate Connell 2 years ago. I was able to work with some amazing technicians and doctors. I was even able to observe a few orthopedic surgeries. Now I can say that I have worked with all sorts of dogs and cats in varying medical and behavioral states. I feel incredibly grateful for the experience. I have pets of my own; my family dog Cabot (a Welsh Springer Spaniel) lives with my dad in Middlebury, and my cat Somtso (a beautiful longhair rescue) lives with me between Pennsylvania and Virginia. My family and I have cared for Cabot for over 7 years now, and sweet Somtso for over 5. I am a full-time college student going into my senior academic year at Dickinson College and am curious about fun ways I could save some money this summer. Let me know if you have any specific questions! Summers are the best time for bookings. Between semesters I have full time flexibility to accommodate a variety of bookings and locations. Working for rover allows me to organize my hours in a way that is best for me and my clients. I live with roommates on campus, and alternate between living spaces when I am home, so having pets stay with me is not something I am able to accommodate at this time. I would love to be able to care for your pets elsewhere. I can do anything from long walks or games of fetch to tire an excited pup out, light training and feedings, and any help with medication or supplement schedules.
About: Lifelong dog lover here! I grew up with a big English yellow Lab and have been pet-sitting ever since. I also became a late-life cat lover after unexpectedly adopting a cat in college so I’m happy caring for both pups and kitties. Spending time with animals is one of my favorite things, and I’ll always make sure they get their treats, walks, and plenty of pets. I work from home, which means if I’m hosting your fur buddy at my place, I can provide multiple walks throughout the day. If you prefer in-home care, I’m also happy to stop by your place for midday weekday visits. I’m weekend availability is also flexible for in-home care or hosting! I don’t currently have pets of my own, so your dog/cat will have my full attention. I live in a house with a yard and nearby walking trails, providing a safe and comfortable environment. I’m happy to follow your routines, whether that means crate time or letting your pup/cat relax with me throughout the day.
About: My childhood dog was obsessed with my dad, so I didn't *truly* embrace my love of dogs until I moved in with an anxious, expressive Weimaraner 15 years ago. Beyond walking and sitting my sweet "furnephew," I have cared for a sassy Chihuahua, a paranoid bowling ball (aka Pitbull), a ball-obsessed Jack Russell mix, and a shy English Springer. Most significantly, I co-owned a stubborn, aloof Shiba Inu for more than four years, starting at 9 weeks. He taught me a special appreciation for reactive, highly-vigilant, and misunderstood dogs. I was accustomed to writing detailed instructions to make sure my sensitive boy felt comfortable and safe with any walker or sitter. I work mostly from home, and I'm looking to fit in sitting and walking engagements into my downtime to get my dog fix. I will also be available some evenings and weekends. I live in a dog-free building, but I am ready to take care of your pet in your home to fit your needs. I'm comfortable crating dogs as you deem necessary, letting the dog roam in a fenced-in yard, playing with a variety of toys in your home, or taking your dogs on walks with my full attention.
“Abbey was friendly and attentive to my dog’s needs. I felt completely at ease while on vacation, confident that my dog was in excellent care. I would gladly choose Abbey again in the future. Thank you from Myla and me :)”

About: I have previous experience working in the Veterinary field. We have one well-loved senior beagle mix and two, sweet male kitties. I am skilled with medication administration with dogs and cats. I am a part-time preschool teacher, so I have time during the morning and afternoon to take care of your fur babies. I am available on the weekends as well. I have a fenced in backyard and a screened in porch for a little extra relaxation. I will offer plenty of treats, and fresh water for every visit is a must!

Lei has been absolutely wonderful with Freya these past few months! Freya is always so happy when she stops by. She is so attentive and caring with her, wiping her paws and making sure it’s not too hot for her to be outside long. She went above and beyond staying past the appointment time when Freya was stubborn and wouldn’t poop right away. Thank you so much for everything!

Jessica did a great job walking our dog Bruno for 3 weeks. She was attentive to Bruno’s personality, behavior, and needs. We did a meet and greet for initial setup and from there she gave me notes for each walk. She took care of a wound that happened and gave daily notes on the wound to ensure it didn’t need further care. She accommodated schedule changes when needed/available for rain. I hope she is available for any future needs.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
