About: I have grown up around dogs my entire life and I love them dearly! I’m looking for some excitement and would love to give extended care to a dog. I work full time but my current schedule is 7-3. I live 15 minutes from my job so I would be able to monitor the dog if they needed extra care through the day. About: I love taking care of dogs and the liveliness they bring to any household. I've taken care of multiple dogs at once before and have experience feeding them medicine as well! I'm available almost all hours of the day as I work from home. Having pets around is great because I love the comfort they bring when it's just me in the house. About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was around 6-7 years old. I am very good with seniors and medium to extra large dogs. Currently I have a Great Pyrenees who is ~155 pounds and a mixed golden who is around 115 pounds. The golden has bad allergies so has quite a strict diet and requires daily medication, meaning I have experience giving medicine to dogs when needed. I am a college student who is back for the summer. As of right now I do not have a part time or full time job so I have a very flexible and open weekly schedule. I have a large backyard that is fully fenced in, as well as two other dogs who are both very calm and do extremely well with other dogs. Additionally I have many different stuffed animals, toys, and more which the dogs can play with if they want to.
“Shizuka provided a level of service far better than I’m used to - as a frequent rover user. She has a nice home where she can separate large dogs from small dogs, and she makes her home an environment where dogs can easily coexist (no toys lying around for Tilly to take and guard). She gave Tilly lots of water and plenty of potty breaks, even in the rain. She took lots of pictures, and she gave me a report card for the visit (thankfully Tilly was well behaved the whole time). About: Ever since I was little, I have been known to care extra for the animals and creatures around me. I can remember helping out with family friends' dog, cat, or horse feedings fairly early on in my life. I have petsitting experience as well as internship experience at Ark Veterinarian Hospital, where I completed a 6-week full-time internship shadowing Dr. Kate Connell 2 years ago. I was able to work with some amazing technicians and doctors. I was even able to observe a few orthopedic surgeries. Now I can say that I have worked with all sorts of dogs and cats in varying medical and behavioral states. I feel incredibly grateful for the experience. I have pets of my own; my family dog Cabot (a Welsh Springer Spaniel) lives with my dad in Middlebury, and my cat Somtso (a beautiful longhair rescue) lives with me between Pennsylvania and Virginia. My family and I have cared for Cabot for over 7 years now, and sweet Somtso for over 5. I am a full-time college student going into my senior academic year at Dickinson College and am curious about fun ways I could save some money this summer. Working for rover allows me to organize my hours in a way that is best for me and my clients. “Grave was highly attentive and loving with my Shetland Sheepdog; especially important in this hot weather. She let him wake up slowly when she came in, not rushing him out the door for his walk. Grace then walked him as much as he wanted to, brought him in out of the heat, made sure he got water and a milk bone, and finally hung out with him for a little while to make sure he was all set. I live in an apartment but my apartment complex has a dog park and lots of space to walk. I usually walk my dogs 3-4 times a day. So, I will do the same thing to your dog or as needed/preferred.
