About: I’ve taken care of my own dog for over a decade. I’ve also watched my friends and families dogs when they are on vacation. So, I’m very comfortable with walking, feeding, playing, and bathing different types of dogs. I’m currently studying for the bar exam, so I’m looking for study break opportunities! Pretty much free at any time during the week and on weekends unless it’s blocked off on my schedule. I am totally flexible with any safety precautions you would like to take. I want to make sure that you feel safe leaving your dog in my care.

The best parts of my days are taking them out on adventures, and I would love to do the same for your pets. I am a responsible, fun, and adventurous pet sitter, that would give your pets a great time. While I am home from college, I walk all of my dogs multiple times throughout the day and ensure that they are cared for satisfactorily. “Amanda is a lifesaver. I needed a backup walker due to the storm. She responded quickly and helped me out. I will definitely be using Amanda again. Thanks so much for your help on short notice.”

Tricia has been helpful working with me on scheduling too. Zack is doing great when I get home and I am happy to not have to worry. I know he is enjoying his time with Tricia.”

I am currently doing this as my full-time gig. If you have any questions, feel free to message me. I am flexible and more than willing to work around timing. “Joon was great with Luna, who is a very sweet but timid dog especially since this was her first time being walked by someone else without my presence. Joon was calm, confident, and caring and I will 100% use him again.”
About: Ever since I was little, I have been known to care extra for the animals and creatures around me. I can remember helping out with family friends' dog, cat, or horse feedings fairly early on in my life. I have petsitting experience as well as internship experience at Ark Veterinarian Hospital, where I completed a 6-week full-time internship shadowing Dr. Kate Connell 2 years ago. I was able to work with some amazing technicians and doctors. I was even able to observe a few orthopedic surgeries. Now I can say that I have worked with all sorts of dogs and cats in varying medical and behavioral states. I feel incredibly grateful for the experience. I have pets of my own; my family dog Cabot (a Welsh Springer Spaniel) lives with my dad in Middlebury, and my cat Somtso (a beautiful longhair rescue) lives with me between Pennsylvania and Virginia. My family and I have cared for Cabot for over 7 years now, and sweet Somtso for over 5. I am a full-time college student going into my senior academic year at Dickinson College and am curious about fun ways I could save some money this summer. Let me know if you have any specific questions! Summers are the best time for bookings. Between semesters I have full time flexibility to accommodate a variety of bookings and locations. Working for rover allows me to organize my hours in a way that is best for me and my clients. I live with roommates on campus, and alternate between living spaces when I am home, so having pets stay with me is not something I am able to accommodate at this time. I would love to be able to care for your pets elsewhere. I can do anything from long walks or games of fetch to tire an excited pup out, light training and feedings, and any help with medication or supplement schedules.

My two daughters also share my deep love for animals and assist me in providing gentle social interaction and affection, ensuring your pup feels loved and never lonely while you are away. Inside our home, your pup will enjoy a balance of physical play and focused mental enrichment through interactive pet puzzles and snuffle mats to keep their minds sharp and engaged. As a full-time housewife, my schedule is entirely dedicated to your pet's happiness and safety. Our household operates like a well-oiled team to ensure constant care. Evenings are a time for wind-down and cuddles, and you can expect a detailed update from me daily. To ensure total transparency, I keep a daily log of eating, potty, and activity habits to share with you at the end of the stay. Safety and comfort are my top priorities. I am professionally insured and bonded , providing you with total peace of mind during your pet's stay. To maintain a healthy environment, I sanitize and clean our pet spaces daily, and all puzzle toys are sanitized between guests. My daughters have been taught strict ground rules for interacting with guest pets: they only approach dogs who are relaxed and never disturb a pet while they are eating or sleeping. All interactions between guest pets and my children are 100% supervised by me at all times. We love to explore the community park near our house and go on neighborhood walks, and I will keep you at ease with frequent photo and video updates of your pet’s stay. About: I recently graduated from the University of Virginia and have been pet sitting since I was a freshman in high school. I’ve always loved pets, and caring for them has become something friends, neighbors, and families consistently trust me with because I’m reliable, flexible, and enjoy spending time with animals. Over the years, I’ve dog sat for families in Charlottesville and cared for households with multiple dogs, helping with everything from walks and feeding to playtime and overnight care. I’m very active and love going on walks, so whether your dog enjoys long walks, playing outside, or just having someone dependable around, I’m happy to accommodate their needs. I’m also comfortable working at all times of day. I’m currently in the process of applying to medical school and have a flexible schedule this summer before I begin teaching abroad in October. This gap period gives me plenty of availability to dedicate to pet sitting, walks, drop-ins, and overnight care. I truly enjoy spending time with animals, and pet sitting has been a perfect way for me to combine responsibility, reliability, and my love for dogs during this exciting transition period in my life. Because my schedule is so open and adaptable right now, I’m able to accommodate a variety of needs and provide pets with the attention and care they deserve. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I carefully follow each pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any special instructions, because I know consistency is important for animals. I am respectful, clean, and reliable in clients’ homes.

About: I may not have a pet of my own, but I'm always surrounded by them—nearly all of my family and friends have pets, and I’ve spent years helping care for them. On top of that, recently, I just finished a 3 week long internship at “Playful Pack” which is a daycare and boarding service for dogs. With friends and family, whether it’s feeding, walking, playing, or just keeping them company, I’ve been the go-to person when they need an extra hand. I'm currently in the process of looking for a part-time job for this summer, but aside from that, I'm basically free all day, every day. That means I have plenty of time to dedicate to pet care on a daily basis, whether it’s walking, feeding, grooming, or just spending quality time with the pet. When caring for pets, my main concerns is making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. In a client’s home, I will always follow their specific instructions regarding feeding, walking, medication, and routine. I will also give plenty of attention, playtime, and affection to keep pets happy and relaxed while their owners are away.
“Jiafan has been absolutely wonderful walking our dog! She treats our dog like her own and we can tell she really loves animals. She always leaves a little note after our walk, and we really appreciate that!”

About: I've been watching my neighbor's dogs for 2 years while they go on vacation for 1.5 weeks during the summer. I would drop in and play with them and take them on walks. I also have two cats of my own so if anyone needs a cat sitter or someone to drop in and see your cats I would love to! I am currently a full-time student at James Madison University. With my schedule, it works with my classes (depending on the day) to come in the mornings and/or evenings. In a client's home, I will be sure that the food and water bowl will be filled if needed and will be sure to play/cuddle with them while I am there. I will also be sure to take them on long enough walks to make sure they will be comfortable for the remaining time they have left.
Pimmit Hills dog parents share their Rover experiences
Highly recommend Juan as a dog walker. Communication is excellent - prompt responses and regular photo updates during walks. It's clear he genuinely cares about the dogs in his care and takes his clients needs seriously. Dependable, friendly, and professional. 5/5 stars!
Lei was outstanding. She loved our dogs in our absence, sent lots of pictures and videos, gave a detailed report of how they were doing. She is knowledgeable, and pointed out concerns (one of our dogs had some diarrhea). Would definitely love to have Lei watch them again.
Sarah was amazing as a dog walker for my pups! She was very responsive, came exactly on time for the walk, and was clearly so sweet and loving with both of my dogs! One of my pups is quite shy and Sarah spent extra time with her to get her comfortable before the walk which was above and beyond amazing. Will absolutely book with her again in the future!

I can’t thank Chelsea enough for the wonderful care she provided. She was so flexible with our shifting schedule and was consistently responsive and attentive to every detail. It’s clear she truly cares about the pets she looks after. If you need someone who will treat your dog like their own, Chelsea is the one!
