About: I’ve loved animals my whole life. I got my first dog when I was 6 and cared for her until I moved abroad at 17. I also adopted a cat at 15 and have been responsible for her daily care. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. I am generally available on weekdays and weekends with flexible hours. Monday–Friday: 3:30 PM – 7:00 PM Weekends: Available all day (morning, afternoon, and evening) I am able to adjust my schedule with advance notice when needed and can accommodate regular or recurring walks as well as occasional bookings. I am especially flexible on weekends and during school breaks. I always prioritize the safety and comfort of every pet in my care. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully and make sure pets are never left unattended in unsafe situations. I provide a calm, clean, and caring environment, and treat every pet as if they were my own. I pay close attention to their behavior and needs to ensure they feel safe, relaxed, and loved.
About: I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities over the years. I raised my own dog from puppyhood and also have experience fostering, so I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and comfort level. I’m comfortable with walks, feeding, playtime, crates, and keeping up with your dog’s normal routine. I know how important it is to have someone you genuinely trust with your pet, so I’ll treat them like they’re my own and keep you updated while they’re in my care. I’m also comfortable with multiple-dog households and dogs that may need a little extra patience and attention. I work from home full-time, which gives me a lot of flexibility throughout the day for walks, potty breaks, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention. I’m also able to accommodate many last-minute requests. If you happen to live in my building or nearby, even better — I’m happy to help with quick walks, drop-ins, or care when something comes up unexpectedly. I live in a secure high-rise and provide a calm, clean environment where your dog will get plenty of individual attention. I’m comfortable following whatever routine your dog is used to, including feeding schedules, walks, crate routines, and any house rules you have in place. I’m very mindful about leash safety, elevators, doors, and interactions with other dogs, and I’ll always keep you updated so you know your pup is safe and happy.
About: I've pet sit for my friends dogs and have raised a corgi puppy from 10 weeks old! I love dogs and will treat yours like mine. I have a playful and friendly corgi who plays well with all dogs. Plus I give excellent scratches. I will send a bunch of photos, as long as you don’t mind me spamming you with them! We do at least 3 walks a day, dog parks after work, and fun adventures on the weekends. Normally we eat breakfast around 8:30, go for a potty walk, and play. During the weekday, I take them out every 4 hours and do mental puzzles at home. If the weather is nice, we will go to a nearby dog park. On weekends, we tend to go out for outdoor adventures if the weather is nice I live in an apartment with ample walking nearby. Super dog friendly neighborhood. We have space to set up crates if needed. I am a neat person and will clean up after myself and the dogs. Since I live in an apartment, if your dog is reactive to noise outside the door, I recommend making that a consideration
“Tricia has looked after our cat multiple times, she has always been completely reliable and very attentive to the details of her care routine. I would not hesitate to request her services again.”

About: I provide constant care and very flexible hours! I have lived with my best friend Lucky which I have raised since he was 3 weeks old. He has lived with me for the last 10 years and I hope I gave him the love he deserves as much as I received from him. I don't know many tricks and skills, but I am fairly knowledgeable with potty training and walking. I don't offer many extra skills to go along with taking care of your pals, but I do make sure they are watched constantly and walked properly. I will try to show them an amazing time! I work full time at home so I can keep a consistent schedule! Walks and potty breaks are no problem for me as well as feeding! I like to keep a close watch to make sure their needs are met. I will try to walk often so that the dogs aren't sitting bored at home!
About: I have been taking care of animals since I was 12 years old. I have specific experiences with all types of cats and dogs, including younger and older animals who may need some extra love, attention, medications, etc. I also have some experience with both dog and cat training. Dogs and cats are not just where the list ends, as I have experience taking care of bunnies, ferrets, horses, sheep, spotted geckos, birds, and fish. Neighbors, family, and friends consistently comment on feeling at ease leaving their animals in my care and really see that I treat their animals with the love and care that I do my own. I am available for both overnight and multiple day visits. I'm currently working hybridly, where I am in the office two days a week and work from home three days a week. My schedule is very flexible in terms of which days I need to go into the office. I am more than willing to work from home at your home if I am doing all-day visits. I also have a very flexible and open weekend schedule. I am very attentive and detail oriented, taking the time to care for your animal and paying attention to any routines and daily duties. I am very communicative, sending frequent animal updates and asking/answering any questions promptly.

“Megan is so kind and friendly! She took great care of our dog and was very attentive to his needs. We really appreciated how thoughtful and caring she was. Highly recommend her!”

“Eliza is the best! She just gets it, and you can tell as soon as you meet her. She knows how to make even nervous dogs feel comfortable, gives each dog individualized care tailored to their temperament, didn't mind a high maintenance picky eater, sent lots of pics, made me feel so secure they were in good hands! Can't sing her praises enough”

“I can't recommend Zosha highly enough. I scheduled daily visits while we were on vacation for our cat Chloe to be given her medication and some love - and Zosha did such a great job at both! He went out of his way to give her plenty of affection and even treats on her puzzle toy. Everything was clean and left in great shape, Zosha was super communicative, and sent lots of pictures! Chloe is definitely a fan, and so are we. Thanks again, Zosha!”

“Rebecca helped me out with a last minute booking request and rushed to take care of my boy, for which I’m super grateful! She went above and beyond again with cleaning up after my boy as well as keeping me posted on how he is doing. Thank you, Rebecca!”

“Roshni was great! She watched my cat over the holidays on relatively short notice and sent me pictures and comments after each visit. She was very responsible and left my house exactly as I left it. I know she gave my cat great attention and I will absolutely be asking her to watch him again in the future. 10/10 recommend Roshni!”

“Alexis is an excellent cat sitter. Her Rover Cards are very thorough and her communication is excellent. My partner and I are very attached to our girl Gracie but we were put at ease while we were away by Alexis’s kindness and professionalism. I’d happily recommend her to any doting cat parents!”

About: I've been an animal lover my whole life, and with over 22 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats, that passion has only grown. I have dogs and cats myself. Every pet I care for is treated like family — with patience, attention, and genuine love. I offer overnight stays in your home, in-home visits, and walks — tailored to whatever your pet needs to feel comfortable and cared for while you're away. I understand that leaving your pet with someone new can be nerve-wracking — that's why I send photo updates throughout our time together, so you always know your best friend is happy and safe. Your pet's comfort and safety are my top priority, every single time. 🐾 My schedule is flexible. I'm currently a realtor in the DMV and can work my schedule into pet sitting. I can stay at client's houses too. For overnight stays, I stay in your home to keep your pet's routine as normal as possible — same bed, same environment, same comfort. I follow their regular feeding schedule, give plenty of playtime and affection, and make sure they're never alone for long stretches. For in-home visits and walks, I come to you on the schedule that works for your pet — whether that's a quick midday potty break, a feeding visit, or a full walk to burn off energy. Each visit includes fresh water, playtime, and lots of love, tailored to your pet's personality and needs. Throughout every service, I send photo updates so you can see first hand that your pet is happy, relaxed, and well cared for — even when you're miles away. With 22+ years of experience, I've learned that every pet is different, so I always adjust my approach to match their individual routine, temperament, and comfort level.
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Pimmit Hills
Amanda was great as always and even had to deal with us and our door code issues, sorry! Thank you for waiting and being patient. We will definitely reach out to her again and are very grateful for her communication, flexibility, and proper care for Morris. Thanks!

Alexis was wonderful! She took such great care of our two cats while we went out of town. She gave great, thorough daily updates with photos, and was very quick to respond to any messages/questions. Would absolutely recommend for pet sitting services!! Thank you so much, Alexis!

We had booked Juan for four days to watch our cat. Unfortunately, a storm caused us to have to cancel our trip after the first day. Juan worked with us and Rover on how to move forward. On that one day we had his services, he was very communicative, sent photos and videos playing with our cat, and overall checked off all our boxes. Excellent experience working with him!

Joaquin was great! He was super accommodating about changing my cat's feeding plan after her automatic feeder disconnected from the internet while I was gone, which I really appreciated. I was also grateful that he took the initiative to clean up hairballs while I was gone - with three cats, I was expecting to come back to a lot of cleaning, so this was a really nice bonus. I'd definitely rehire him
Elisabeth was an absolute lifesaver while I was traveling! She was incredibly patient, caring, and attentive with my cat, Coco. I was away for over 20 days, and I could tell that Coco was well cared for and didn’t feel nearly as lonely while I was gone. Elisabeth was also extremely responsible and flexible with the key handoffs. We had to coordinate the key a few different times, and she even offered to drop it off with my friend, which I really appreciated. She also took so many adorable photos of Coco without me even having to ask. Getting all those cute updates made me miss Coco a little less while I was away. I’m so grateful to Elisabeth for taking such great care of Coco, and I would absolutely trust her to watch Coco again! ❤️

We had a wonderful experience with our dog sitter Aliso and felt completely comfortable knowing our dog and cat were in such caring hands. She was attentive, dependable, and treated our dog and cat with genuine love and kindness. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter!

Thank you so much for taking such good care of Bagel! We got home last night and could tell she was so well taken care of. 🥹 She doesn’t really open up to our other friends, so the fact that she really likes you means a lot! We really appreciate all the love and care you gave her. ❤️

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
