“Taylor was great. We have one very social cat and one that hides from guests. The shy cat even came out to see her! It’s great to know they were so well taken care of. Taylor came at the requested visit times; and in addition to feeding and litter duty, she provided a lot of play time as well.”

“Katy went above and beyond to care for our dog Nelson, especially during all the snowy weather. She played with him indoors and made sure he got exercise even when he didn’t want to spend much time outside. She is amazing!”

“Jen was wonderful. She came to meet and greet my two cats and ensured she understood the process of getting in and out and their daily routines. She clearly has an affinity for them as even my more anxious cat became comfortable with her after just a couple visits.”

“We had a fantastic experience and really appreciated Elizabeth’s attention to our cats, and detailed updates to me. I felt confident they were well cared for during my time away and appreciated that she spent time to keep them company in addition to feeding them.”

“Tara took great care of our cat for the weekend! He can be very shy, but she clearly won him over immediately and we felt a lot better knowing that he was happy and playing while we were gone. Our apartment was in perfect condition when we came back. Working with Tara was extremely easy - she was very communicative!”

“Alison is our #1 choice for her attention to detail, above-and-beyond communication, and loving care for our cats. It's difficult to leave a geriatric pet, and this time there was a medical situation. Alison's prompt and thorough notes allowed us to make the right choice in calling the vet, and she was certain to make sure he was recovered and settled after his return; even giving him oral medicine (quite an accomplishment). All that plus winning over our other cat (the diva) and sending fantastic photos.”
“Pamela is the best!! She took such good care of our cats, and I'm pretty sure the house is cleaner now than when we left. :) She sent detailed updates and pictures, and took extra time to play with our cats and wash our their bowls every day. She even watered our flowers outside and sent pictures of those too! We will definitely use her again and give her our highest recommendation. Thanks!!”

“I cannot recommend Lei enough! She cared for my two cats for over 10 days, and her level of compassion and attention to detail truly exceeded my expectations. From the start, Lei was incredibly trustworthy, dependable, and loving. She didn’t just feed and clean—she actively monitored their health by checking the litter box, combed them, and played with them to keep them happy and stress-free. Her communication was outstanding. Lei sent me regular updates with adorable photos, detailed messages, and informative report cards that gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. She even reminded me about supplies that were running low so I could plan ahead before coming home—such a thoughtful touch! When I returned, my cats were so well cared for that they barely missed me. It’s clear Lei treats pets like her own, and that makes all the difference. If you’re looking for someone who is caring, proactive, and reliable, Lei is the perfect sitter!”

About: I’m comfortable giving medication, handling small and large dogs, easing anxiety ,maintaining routine and giving every dog personalized attention, Plenty of care, affection and patience. I work for the school system, so I will be off all summer and I will have a very flexible schedule. I’m available any day, any time. I have over 17 years of experience with dogs and currently care for two of my own. I follow each pet’s routine, provide a safe and calm environment, give plenty of exercise and attention. About: I love working with dogs! I grew up with a variety of breeds and I am very patient and caring with all animals. My family had both large German shepherds and small miniature poodles, so I feel extremely comfortable with any size dog. I currently have a small rescue poodle mix, who I spoil just a little too much. I have also fostered and sat for various breeds and I really enjoy getting to know each dog's unique personality and temperament. Every dog deserves to be treated as a member of the family, which is exactly how I treat any pet in my care. I look forward to meeting and caring for your precious and beloved family member and he or she will immediately feel like part of my own family!
“Mya was a great sitter for my two cats! It was clear even from the meet & greet that she likes cats, and mine loved her right back! One of them is on a special diet and Mya followed all my food instructions perfectly. She was also able to get my other pickier cat to eat wet food which can sometimes be a struggle. I highly recommend her and would definitely use her again. Thanks, Mya!”
About: Note: Be sure to check my calendar for availability before booking. Thanks! I adopted my Puerto Rican rescue named Leo in 2019 and he has completely changed my life. He can be reactive on walks and is a super anxious boy in general so I have experience managing nervous dogs. Leo has taught me to see every dog as a cherished family member and loyal companion. When I meet a dog, I want to make them feel as loved and special as they make us feel everyday. My goal is to spend as much time as possible with dogs and I would love to meet yours! I know how exhausting it can be to work and meet your pets needs, and I would love to give you some peace of mind knowing they’ve gotten attention, love, and exercise while you’re busy. I am a student home for the summer and am free until September, but am taking a couple of weekends away so make sure to check my calendar. I am open to spending time with your dog in your home during the day and stay overnight for up to a week. I can do mealtimes and take walks/backyard playtime. And of course, will include endless cuddles.
“We used Amanda to take our pup out mid day for a week while nobody could be home. She sent pictures and communicated well. I could also tell our dog was happy in her care. I would gladly hire Amanda again.”
“Sierra was amazing! She took such great care of my cat. Not only did she follow the directions I provided meticulously, she even went above and beyond and cleaned the wet food bowl. Needless to say I’ll certainly book Sierra again in the future!”

“Kelly did great stopping in and watching my cat for the week I was at the beach. This was the first time I had someone watch my cat since he went on his meds and since his brother passed away, but Kelly did a great job administering his medicine and I loved the updates showing all the hugs and playtimes my cat was receiving while I was away! Thanks Kelly!”

“Elise gave great regular updates while she checked in on my cat while I was gone. Her questions and info gave me the confidence to not have to worry while away, and I returned home to a happy cat and tidy food and litter areas. I'll definitely look to book Elise again next time.”

About: For 11 years I was a Yorkie’s mom ( her name was Mimi) and for 17 years and 8 months a Shorkie’s mom (his name was Apollo). Now my precious babies crossed the rainbow Mimi in January 2024 then Apollo joined her over the rainbow on November 2025 and I miss them so very much.. I am an accountant and I am working part time from home and missing my furry babies terribly. So, I would love to help you care for your doggies. I absolutely love animals specially dogs and I have a special place in my heart for them. I care for pets as if they were my own, always prioritizing their safety, comfort, needs and routine. During walks, I use properly fitted collars or harnesses and I always listen to the dog’s needs and I let them choose their route and pace, always making sure they are away from harm’s way. With Mimi and Apollo I always said: “I don’t walk them they walk me”.
“Amazingly communicative and so kind! Sends plenty of pictures and detailed updates to put your mind at ease of whether your fur babies are in good hands. Looking forward to having her again!”

Katerine & Brian did a great job taking care of my kitten! It was my first time leaving her home alone for multiple days in a row and they made sure they cared for her like their own. I received updates each day with many pictures which made leaving her a little more bearable. I will definitely use them in the future next time I need someone to watch my cat again!

Victoria was wonderful with both of my cats. She was caring, attentive, reliable and kept me updated throughout her visits.Even my usually shy cat warmed up and came to her which really showed how gentle and comfortable she made him feel.I felt completely at ease knowing both of my cats were in such good hands. She clearly loves animals and went above and beyond to make sure they were happy and well cared for. I would definitely recommend her and would be happy to book her again!

Amanda did an amazing job taking care of our two dogs while we were gone for a few days! They were clearly very happy when we got home and she kept us posted with lots of cute pictures while we were gone. She even left them some treats and made sure their things were tidy on her last visit. We would 100% have her care for them again.

Abigail was absolutely amazing with Simba! From the very beginning, she was kind, attentive, and made me feel completely at ease. She followed Simba’s schedule exactly as instructed, kept me updated, and clearly cared for him as if he were her own. When my plans changed unexpectedly, she was incredibly accommodating and even added extra days at the last minute without hesitation. That flexibility meant so much to me and took a huge weight off my shoulders. I highly recommend Abigail to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and reliable pet sitter. Simba was in great hands, and I will definitely be booking with her again. Thank you, Abigail, for taking such wonderful care of my baby!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
