“I had a great experience meeting with Fernanda during our meet and greet. She's friendly, professional, and took the time to get to know both me and my cat (even though she was hiding!). I appreciated how thoughtful she was in asking questions about my cat's routine, preferences, and care needs. It was clear she genuinely cares about animals and wants to provide the best possible care. The meet and greet left me feeling confident and comfortable about leaving my cat in her care. I would absolutely recommend Fernanda to other pet parents looking for a reliable and attentive sitter!”

“Samantha took such good care of my babies while I was away on a trip. She is playful, caring, and truly attentive. She sent us pictures every day and communicated everything in great detail. When one of my dogs started showing signs of ear irritation, she noticed it right away and acted quickly her judgment made us feel completely at ease. We have three dogs, and she did an amazing job with all of them. Highly recommend her!”

“McKenna was amazing with Goose and Roo! We came back to tired, content puppies. McKenna was great with sending regular updates and pictures. We definitely plan to have her watch the dogs again next time we’re out of town!”
“Tara was fantastic with my kids! It gave me great peace of mind to know that she was going to come to check in on them while I was out. The pictures that she sent so that they were having an amazing time with her and Will well taken care of.”

“Brittany was amazing with my nearly three month old puppy, Ruby! She kept Ruby busy with a walk and playing with all of Ruby’s toys, and by the end of the visit, Ruby was all tired out (which was the goal)! I can’t thank Brittany enough and will certainly be using her again!”

“Cindy is a life saver ! I booked her last minute and right there and then she went as soon as possible to do the drop in for my pets. Cindy truly cares for your pet ! She will go above and beyond. Cindy was so sweet , my fur baby’s got so comfortable and felt a good connection with her right away. Cindy thank you again! Will be booking again!”

“Dominique is an exceptional dog sitter! He took amazing care of our large, active dog, managing his energy with ease and ensuring he was happy and well-exercised throughout his stay. Dominique is a fantastic communicator, always prompt and clear in his updates, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. He truly went above and beyond—not only taking excellent care of our pup but also helping out around the house, like taking out the garbage. We couldn’t recommend him more highly and will definitely book him again!”

About: Been in Arlington since 2017 and despite having not owned since with family, have a lot of experience walking and sitting for friends and family. V much want to hang out with your pup, super down for walks, and sitting if theres a need! Moreso into this for my own personal emotional regulation (has a full-time job), so time/rates absolutely negotiable. Not really sure whats considered experience here, so will put amount of time I've lived with. I'd do this for less than $10 a walk if I could. I have a full-time, in office job, so I am much more suited for walks and longer hangs than I really am overnight sitting. My current apt building doesnt allow for pets, so if sitting were a thing, it'd have to be at yours. That said, I would take your pet out and they'd do things with me, my SO, and very likely also my friends. Happy to abide by your rules with le pup, would just need a rundown or list of things/actions you keep so as to try not to change much for them.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter while we were away for five days. She was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to make sure our cats were not only cared for, but truly loved. She stayed extra long during visits to give them plenty of snuggles and attention, which gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were comfortable and happy while we were gone. It was clear she genuinely cares about animals, and we are so grateful for the exceptional care she provided. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate cat sitter!”

“Spencer and Julia kept me posted throughout the weekend, provided several pictures, and spent a lot of quality time with my cat. Really appreciate their help and communication, and would recommend them to others.”

“Jennifer was incredible to have as Cooper’s dog sitter! She was incredibly responsive, sent plenty of photos while taking Cooper out and spent time playing with him. 10/10 would recommend!”

“Aly has consistently showed up for us when we need her most! She treats our pup well and is thorough in her reports for how our dog is doing. We appreciate her so much & recommend highly!”

“Isabelle and Diego literally not only saved me but made me instantly feel like my dog was in very safe hands. I left for a quick business trip to San Francisco and en route, my friend that told me they’d watch the dog decided to change their mind. I’m 3000-4000 miles away scrambling just trying to get someone to take out my dog (who is truly my best friend) as he’s been alone for far too long. This required a lot of trust in both of them as I was letting people into my house I’ve never met before. When they first arrived my dog was visibly very sad (as he should’ve been) but by the end of their visit, which included a lot of sniffing and playtime, he looked so happy and his hope was reinstated. I cannot thank them enough for coming to my rescue so quickly and making my dog so happy in such a shitty situation. I will definitely be using them again in the future.”

About: Hi! My name is Elizabeth and I have a cat and a large dog at home! I absolutely love animals and have been around animals my whole life! I would love to take care of and/or get to spend time with your fur baby!! I am more than happy to follow any guidelines you have and listen to your pets needs!! I have experience with little dogs and big dogs as well as indoor and outdoor cats and would love to take care of your babies!!:) I am not working at the moment so my schedule is super flexible and I am more than able to meet any of your pet's needs! I live in an apartment so my dog and I take several potty breaks a day and we love the dog park. He trained off leash as well so we go to the field and tennis courts near my apartment pretty much every day!

Henry was wonderful with our two cats while we were away for a week! He was reliable, caring, and made sure both cats were well taken care of. Both of our cats seemed very comfortable and happy in his company. Henry was great about keeping us updated, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. He was attentive to their needs, dependable, and treated them like his own pets. Coming home to happy, well-cared-for cats made it obvious that they were in great hands. We highly recommend Henry to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter. He made leaving our cats for a week stress-free, and we will absolutely book with him again!
Becca was fantastic! She took great care of our two cats while we were away, including giving one of them medication twice a day. She sent us lots of photos and daily updates, and we came home to a tidy house and happy kitties. I would recommend Becca as a cat sitter!

We had Paul sit our two cats for a week each. From the start, Paul was super communicative and responsive. Our kitties—typically skeptical of strange hoomans—took to him right away, and he took such great care and attention in everything he did to make them feel comfortable while we were away. Thank you!

Fernanda was a dream! She was so communicative and attentive to my kitty cat and took such great care of him. She went above and beyond for us and left detailed notes after each visit and took plenty of pictures! My kitty is usallly so shy but i was pleasantly surprised how much he opened up to Fernanda and her warm, positive nature! I will definitely book with Fernanda again!

Deniz is kind and communicative. I appreciate the extra mile she went to in caring for my sweet geriatric kitty! Not only do I think this, but Catness the cat did too; she came out to say hi to Deniz and get pets, which she only does when she trusts someone. 5 stars, highly recommend!

Rachel was absolutely a star sitter! This was my first time using Rover and she helped me to feel so secure and confident in using the service and also having her as my sitter. I have 2 cats who warmed up to her right away and were so well taken care of. I highly recommend Rachel. She was extremely professional and dependable.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
