About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8 and have a Beagle who lives at my parents’ house. He’s 17 now so I have experience with older dogs. My boyfriend’s family has a small toy poodle who we have dog sat multiple times. Additionally, I have done dog walking for pets in the area. I usually take them out during my lunch break for a stroll around the block! I work from home everyday. My schedule on Monday’s and Fridays is typically pretty open. I am around most weekends so I have flexibility. My boyfriend, who also loves dogs works from home 2-3X per week so your pooch will get a lot of attention! Since I am currently in an apartment, smaller to medium sized dogs would be best. We also have a small balcony which dogs tend to love. Bonus: we have turf grass on there so they love it even more.

We are now in Arlington (Ballston) and I'd love to help you take care of your dog and/or cat while you're at work or away. I'm currently not working, so I'll have plenty of time to care for you pet(s)! I'm available Monday-Friday from 10:00am -3:00pm and anytime Saturday/Sunday. About: I have a Chihuahua Yorkie mix and a Schnauzer mix so I am very familiar with high energy dogs and I will give your dog the attention they need! I really enjoy training with dogs and can reinforce or begin any training that you would like me to! I have experience training dog agility, nose work, fun attention games, and many different positive reinforcement techniques for different dogs. One of our dogs is anxious and reactive, so I am very familiar with avoiding triggers, counter conditioning, and have taken classes on managing reactivity! Our other dog is a tripod, and became so through multiple surgeries while we had him, so I have experience working with dogs with different mobility needs and during surgery as well. I love to spend my nights and weekends cuddled on the couch with dogs or walking around new places, and I'll happily incorporate your dog into whichever they prefer, or both! I have a flexible part time job, so I have plenty of time to dedicate to walking, playing with, or cuddling your dogs just like I would mine! I prefer to take care of your dog in their known environment so that they can stay comfortable. I will do my best to stick as closely to your routines as possible so that they know what to expect. However, we will add some fun, so that they have a great vacation too!

About: My family has pampered and spoiled our yellow Labrador for 15 years of walks, runs, fetch, cuddles, and treats. We’ve cared for him from his crazy puppy years to his gentle old soul. I’m a whole-hearted dog lover and care for other dogs like they’re my own. I have been a Rover dog walker/sitter for over five years now, and have loved each and every dog! I have a flexible work-from-home schedule! I am a graphic designer, so I often work independently with a light meeting schedule. I can accommodate one walk during the work days, and any other walks needed in the evenings. While walking dogs, I make sure to walk them safely distanced from traffic and passing cars. I am always respectful of my client’s homes and neighborhoods, and make sure to clean up after their pups!

About: I grew up around lot's of golden retrievers (and other dog breeds too)! I love all animals but am most experienced with bigger, more active dogs. The golden retriever my family has now is vastly different from the golden I had growing up. Harper our first dog, adored people but displayed a lot of leash aggression around dogs she didn't know. Millie, our current dog, also loves people but wants to befriend any and all dogs she passes. Having lots of experience walking both of them, I know how drastically different dog personalities can be. With Harper I got very used to changing course on my walks to avoid other dogs and only letting her interact with dogs she knew and owners I trusted. Communicating with other dog owners while out on a walk is very important to me because every dog is different and sometimes interactions can be unpredictable. Regular exercise, mentally stimulating play/interaction, affection, attentive care, and proper training are very important aspects of having a pet. I love going on long walks and hikes, playing fetch in nearby parks, and genuinely enjoy looking after pets. I am also very passionate about cleaning up after dogs and leaving no trace. During a home visit, you can expect that I will feed and medicate your pet if necessary (I only have experience with oral meds), refill their water, let them out to use the bathroom, give them lots of cuddles, and play or walk them till they are tired out. I have lots of available time at the moment while taking a break from travel and would love to fill it looking after local pets! I have a fully fenced in backyard, a friendly and an energetic two-year-old golden named Millie who loves making new friends, and lots of experience with crate training.

I can administer medications, and hit trails with your fur babies if they are up to it. I live near the Four Mile Run, W & OD, Bluemont, Upton Hill, and Lubber Run park trails, and I know them well. LET'S GO PLAY IN THE WOODS! ♥️ I'm completely fearless with dogs and cats, and will adjust to the needs and comfort level of any reactive or spicy fur babies. I have no breed preferences. I'm used to being greeted by cane corsos with an open face. Bring it on. I need to know food, meds, activity level, reactivity, and if they have Houdini Mode. Common sense/Bare minimum requirements: I must be able to safely leash/walk/feed your pet. They don't have to be a perfect little lovebug, but they're not allowed to bite my face off, either. I'm a tough woman, and I go out in weather that some may not be brave enough to go out in. I will never feed your pet unapproved food or treats. Cleanup is not an issue, and I will do my best to prevent carpet stains (wipe muddy paws and wipe up various other messes because life happens.) I can administer medications responsibly. Your pet's comfort and safety will always be first. I will adjust to the needs of reactive or spicy pets so they still get one on one playtime if they want, or we can long-line leash and/or go out during non-peak dog walking hours. Attention Pet Parents: My cat had recently died of Lymphoma and my father had returned to the hospital having complications after a triple bypass surgery. The chaos in my life has since resolved, and I am returning to full time scheduling effective immediately. About: I genuinely love all animals, I think they are the greatest joys and best friends that adore you, and we are their whole world, so we have to care for them while we have to also go on vacation and be away sometimes, so as a person who has been in both shoes as a rover user and a sitter I am eager to help. I work from home and have remote online school, I am pretty flexible with timings and if I can’t do a time, I will probably offer something close to your proposed times. I do go out of town to visit family every other month or so. Read your instructions & respect your space. Greet the pet and play with them, feed, make sure they have a clean bowl and water, and feel comfortable with me.
