“Leo was remarkable! He was able to get my extremely shy girl to warm up to him. He left great notes and photos in the rover cards. I was so happy to have Leo taking care of my girl!”

“Daniel has been an awesome drop in sitter. Extremely reliable and a great communicator. I am happy to have his services for the duration of my stay in NOVA!”

“Laura is the real cat lady I was trying to find!! I had a bad experience using another Rover last time. She didn’t take any picture each visit and never filled up the water bowl for our cat. Our cat ended up with no water in the bowl for 2-3 days. So this time I decided to find a real cat lady to help while we were out for vocation. I was lucky to find Laura. She is very attentive to details, talked to my cat and gave her love to our cat. Our cat got a lot of social time. Thanks a lot!!! I will definitely book with Laura again!!!”

“Esther-Elizabeth did such a great job taking care of my three kitties over the holiday! I have one kitty who needs insulin and one who is shy and she treated them like her own! I’m so glad I found her and would absolutely recommend her as someone who thinks of my pets as family and wants to make sure they’re in good hands. I also felt her rate was very reasonable for the care she provided.”

“My cat Hannah was well taken care of and in good hands while I was away! Lisa gave great drop-in visits and left Rover cards to keep me updated. Thanks for a reliable service!”

“Emily was wonderful taking care of our fur kids while we were busy with our wedding weekend! She sent photos and kept us updated on our babies. Thank you SO much Emily!!”

“Dani did great with my two cats! She was able to give them medicine and sent many pictures playing with them and giving them affection. She even gave them each a little toy for Christmas! Such a relief to know my cats were in good hands while I was gone - highly recommend Dani!”

“Rachel was amazing and went above and beyond for our cat! She gave detailed overviews of every visit and really cared about our cat. I would definitely book her again in the future!”

About: I have a deep passion for animal welfare, which I’ve cultivated through consistent volunteer work at a local animal shelter. This experience has taught me how to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments, ensuring they feel safe and engaged. Additionally, I have personal experience pet-sitting for friends, where I manage feeding schedules, exercise, and plenty of one on one attention. I am committed to providing a reliable, stress free environment for your pet while you are away. I work part time and am a full time student. I am mostly online minus 1 hybrid class that meets on Wednesdays so my schedule is flexible. Whenever I’m not at work (Thursdays and Fridays), I am doing schoolwork. Once I’m done with that, I am free to dog walk/sit! I offer a safe, attentive environment where your pet's well being comes first. I am committed to maintaining their usual routine to minimize any anxiety while you're away. I am very responsive to messages and will provide frequent check-ins and photos. My goal is to build a trusting relationship with both you and your pet through reliability, clear communication, and genuine care.

No problem! Do you have a strict shoe-on policy? Also not a problem! I'm here for you and your fur-loved one!

“Rachel was incredibly helpful and responsive when I needed last-minute care for my cat. She sent photos and details every day and was extremely friendly and easy to work with over the last few days. I would definitely book with her again!”

About: I've taken care of animals since I was a kid. Ever since I can remember there have always been pets and animals in and around my family. My family had dogs and cats growing up, I've also had fish, turtles, and geckos. I have some experience (not certified) in dog training, as I trained my current dog with my brother. I am comfortable with dogs of any size, having grown up around larger breeds. I currently work in the evenings, except for Tuesdays and Saturdays. This leaves me free in the mornings and afternoons to walk and take care of pets. I make sure I have all the information I need about whoever I'm looking after. I ask for the owner's preferences with types of walks, length, play, treats, etc. I report any potential issues with the pets to the owners.

About: Whether your dog or cat loves long walks, playtime, or extra patience and cuddles, I provide safe, loving care with updates that keep pet parents completely at ease! I am currently on summer break from my PT program and would love to help part-time for any pet sitting or dog walking needs throughout the summer. I can come to your home and help in any capacity! Whether that’s a walk during the day, feeding times, or just a daily check-in, I can absolutely be available.
“Kimberly was incredibly attentive and communicative when she came for drop-in visits with my dog while I was out of town. She is a professional and clearly cares for and is extremely knowledgeable about dogs and their needs. Will definitely book again!”
“Tara is a fantastic pet sitter! She took care of my two cats while I was gone for 6 days. She has a warm and friendly personality and is so conscientious. She did lots of extras and made sure the cats were well taking care of. She was comfortable administering medication to one of my cats, which was a great relief for me. I highly recommend Tara.”

“Aimee - was very easy to communicate with, responsive and professional. I felt my kitties were well taken care of while I was gone. Really appreciated Aimee’s flexibility on when to come over. All in all great experience!”

About: My experience includes being the sole dog watcher for my friend's German Shepherd, where I was fully responsible for his care from start to finish. That experience showed me just how much attentiveness and trust goes into looking after someone else's pup. Safety and mindfulness are always my top priorities. I keep a close eye on the environment, stay tuned into the dog's behavior, and make sure their routine stays as normal as possible so they feel comfortable and at ease. You can count on regular updates and photos, and I always have emergency vet info on hand just in case. I treat every dog like they're my own — because honestly, that's just how I roll. I currently work full time, so my availability fluctuates week to week — but I'm typically free by 4pm on weekdays and can accommodate evening visits. I also have occasional weekdays off and am always available on Sundays. I'm happy to talk through your schedule and see what works for both of us! Safety is always my first priority — I do a quick check of doors and windows when I arrive and stay mindful of exits, especially with cats who might try to slip out. I know how easily that can happen, so I'm always careful. I keep the environment calm and low-stress for every pet. With cats, I never force interaction — if they want to hide for the first hour, that's totally fine. I let them set the pace and engage on their terms. With small dogs, I'm equally mindful of their surroundings, making sure they're not in situations that could feel overwhelming or unsafe for their size.
“Sam is a great cat sitter--very patient and respectful of the shy cats so they have the best chance of feeling safe to come out and be friendly. Sam is also is also responsive and kind in communicating.”

Claremont pet parents share their Rover experiences
Maia was absolutely fantastic! She was super communicative and sent a bunch of adorable photos and lengthy notes with updates on my cats. I have two little anxious babies and she was so good about making sure they took their meds and I could see from the photos how relaxed they were around her. When I came home they weren’t even mad at me for being gone! Would 10/10 recommend!

Sarah took amazing care of our cat while we were out of town! He’s normally very shy, so when he immediately went up and nuzzled her, I knew it was a good sign :) Sarah took FANTASTIC pictures, gave us thorough updates on how he was doing, and left our apartment perfect and clean.

Ann was an incredible pet sitter. She was well-organized, always kept us informed about our cat's status, and consistently went above and beyond to ensure our cat had a positive experience. If I ever need a pet sitter, I will definitely go with Ann again, and I could not recommend her more.

I had a great experience meeting with Fernanda during our meet and greet. She's friendly, professional, and took the time to get to know both me and my cat (even though she was hiding!). I appreciated how thoughtful she was in asking questions about my cat's routine, preferences, and care needs. It was clear she genuinely cares about animals and wants to provide the best possible care. The meet and greet left me feeling confident and comfortable about leaving my cat in her care. I would absolutely recommend Fernanda to other pet parents looking for a reliable and attentive sitter!
