“Hawani was a life saver! I booked her last minute and she was able to go check on my pup. Little did she know what she was going to walk into! My escape artist got out of his cage and unfortunately pooped around my apartment. Hawani was kind enough to send me updates immediately when she got into my place. And was kind enough to clean up after him even though I told her it was okay! She was also very understanding stating she understood (as he is still a pup). Throughout her booking she kept me updated and was very thorough about taking care of him! Sent me photos and videos. She also was helpful to make sure he was fully secure in his crate as he got out before she arrived. Highly recommend! Thank you Hawani!”

About: I have taken classes in dog behaviors and how they act when they might need a particular action done. I have a NAPPS certification, which is National Association of Professional Pet Sitters that is earned for all small animals, both including dogs and cats. I have had my own very young puppy, so I know how to handle and train them in a gentle manner that they will respond to. I have tons of experience in senior dogs and cats, so I am patient to more slow animals or paying attention to them more and making sure they have what they need. I have an extremely open schedule and can stay over for longer periods of time than most people. I am free almost every single day for hours on end, so finding when I can come over is no trouble. I’m easy to schedule if I need to house sit, and am extremely responsible and willing to stay overnight when needed. I love taking care of animals in their own homes, knowing they’ll feel the most comfortable surrounded by their familiar surroundings. The only thing I care about is that your furry companions are safe and cared for in a way that they don’t feel out of place or missing the love they got before you left them in my care.

I have volunteered for the Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation and the Animal Welfare League of Arlington where I have looked after dogs and cats of various sizes, ages, energy levels, and temperaments. I have a flexible schedule and committed to ensuring pets feel comfortable, happy, and well-cared for while their families are away. I have recently graduated from William & Mary and have an open schedule with the flexibility to walk, feed, care, and tend to your pet during your preferred times of day. I was an elementary school teacher for 8 years so patience, organization and an intense sense of care are my strongest skills. I am currently in the process of finding a new remote job and am home during the week and most weekends! I love to walk and having a buddy to come with me would make my day. My hours and days are pretty flexible ♥️ I live in an apartment with plenty of outside space around the building to take any pups outside to play with. About: I have a Chihuahua Yorkie mix and a Schnauzer mix so I am very familiar with high energy dogs and I will give your dog the attention they need! I really enjoy training with dogs and can reinforce or begin any training that you would like me to! I have experience training dog agility, nose work, fun attention games, and many different positive reinforcement techniques for different dogs. One of our dogs is anxious and reactive, so I am very familiar with avoiding triggers, counter conditioning, and have taken classes on managing reactivity! Our other dog is a tripod, and became so through multiple surgeries while we had him, so I have experience working with dogs with different mobility needs and during surgery as well. I love to spend my nights and weekends cuddled on the couch with dogs or walking around new places, and I'll happily incorporate your dog into whichever they prefer, or both! I have a flexible part time job, so I have plenty of time to dedicate to walking, playing with, or cuddling your dogs just like I would mine! I prefer to take care of your dog in their known environment so that they can stay comfortable. I will do my best to stick as closely to your routines as possible so that they know what to expect. However, we will add some fun, so that they have a great vacation too!
