About: Hi! I’ve been raised with dogs and puppies since I was a child and played a primary role in taking care of them. After a lifetime full of dogs, I now have a cat! I love animals and would love to take care of your pet while you’re away. I am available for pet sitting and dog walking Monday through Thursday. About: My childhood dog was obsessed with my dad, so I didn't *truly* embrace my love of dogs until I moved in with an anxious, expressive Weimaraner 15 years ago. Beyond walking and sitting my sweet "furnephew," I have cared for a sassy Chihuahua, a paranoid bowling ball (aka Pitbull), a ball-obsessed Jack Russell mix, and a shy English Springer. Most significantly, I co-owned a stubborn, aloof Shiba Inu for more than four years, starting at 9 weeks. He taught me a special appreciation for reactive, highly-vigilant, and misunderstood dogs. I was accustomed to writing detailed instructions to make sure my sensitive boy felt comfortable and safe with any walker or sitter. I work mostly from home, and I'm looking to fit in sitting and walking engagements into my downtime to get my dog fix. I will also be available some evenings and weekends. For reliable recurring care, I work with my partner, Mike, a fellow 5-star Rover sitter. With your prior approval, he may occasionally cover a scheduled walk when needed. We coordinate closely and follow the same care routine, communication standards, and safety practices. I live in a dog-free building, but I am ready to take care of your pet in your home to fit your needs. I'm comfortable crating dogs as you deem necessary, letting the dog roam in a fenced-in yard, playing with a variety of toys in your home, or taking your dogs on walks with my full attention.

I have cared for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and fish. I have 2 cats, a beautiful rednose pittie, and fish of my own. I can administer medications, and hit trails with your fur babies if they are up to it. I live near the Four Mile Run, W & OD, Bluemont, Upton Hill, and Lubber Run park trails, and I know them well. LET'S GO PLAY IN THE WOODS! ♥️ I'm completely fearless with dogs and cats, and will adjust to the needs and comfort level of any reactive or spicy fur babies. I have no breed preferences. I'm used to being greeted by cane corsos with an open face. Bring it on. I need to know food, meds, activity level, reactivity, and if they have Houdini Mode. Common sense/Bare minimum requirements: I must be able to safely leash/walk/feed your pet. They don't have to be a perfect little lovebug, but they're not allowed to bite my face off, either. I'm a tough woman, and I go out in weather that some may not be brave enough to go out in. I will never feed your pet unapproved food or treats. Cleanup is not an issue, and I will do my best to prevent carpet stains (wipe muddy paws and wipe up various other messes because life happens.) I can administer medications responsibly. Your pet's comfort and safety will always be first. I will adjust to the needs of reactive or spicy pets so they still get one on one playtime if they want, or we can long-line leash and/or go out during non-peak dog walking hours. Attention Pet Parents: My cat had recently died of Lymphoma and my father had returned to the hospital having complications after a triple bypass surgery. The chaos in my life has since resolved, and I am returning to full time scheduling effective immediately. About: I’ve been around pets my entire life. I grew up with both small and large dogs with all kinds of different needs. Truly, I understand that each pet has its own unique needs which I’m patient and willing to understand. As an adult I’ve owned/lived with 3 small dogs (pug, 2 cavalier King Charles spaniels) and a cat so I’m fully capable of taking care of multiple animals at once. I’ve cared for both my cavaliers from puppy through their seniors years including one being in a wheel chair his last year of life so I have experience with dogs in all years of their life. My cat was adopted as kitten so also familiar with cats during all years of life. Over the years I’ve done pet sitting and walked dogs for friends and neighbors in addition to my own pets. My work schedule is flexible with a blend of in person and remote work so we can discuss a schedule that fits your pets needs. Safety, trust, and respect are extremely important to me. When caring for pets in their own home, I make sure to follow all care instructions closely, keep pets on their normal routine, and maintain a calm, safe environment. I treat every home with care and respect, keeping it clean, secure, and exactly as you left it. I believe clear communication builds trust, so I provide regular updates and photos and am always available if you need to reach me. My goal is for you to feel completely comfortable knowing your pet and your home are in good hands.
