About: I am a local college student/lifelong pet owner, and frequently care for my friends and families pets. I also volunteered at a veterinary hospital, where I walked and cared for dogs and cats staying in the boarding area (walking dogs, feeding pets, refreshing water and litter). About: As someone who grew up in a "dog home" I'm very comfortable with a wide variety of dogs both big (Fred, German Shepard) and small (Abby, Cocker Spaniel). Over the last 4 years I've been personally training and raising my well-behaved resident couch-potato, Leo. I bring that same enthusiasm and kindness to every cat I meet as well (I've even fostered a few kittens!). I’m detail-oriented, timely, and mindful of existing routines such as walks, meals, medications, or any additional special instructions. About: I’ve taken care of the family dog my entire life and I’ve been a dog owner for 15 years. I’ve trained and raised a St Bernard, a Great Pyrenees, a Westie, and our currently beloved lab-mix, Turnip! My husband, Adam, shares this account and helps us be more flexible with your care needs. He is home from work by 2pm during the week and can pop out to visit/walk your pup during the day or we can both come by in the evenings for a visit/walk! We moved from Rosslyn and I know how hard it can be to find a sitter with a nice fenced yard and a friendly pup for your dog to play with while you’re gone, so we’re looking to supply that now that we’re in Fairfax City! I work M-F out of the home but Adam is home by 2pm on weekdays so he’s available for drop-in visits/walks during the week days if needed. We are both available for drop-in/walks weeknight evenings! We have a fenced yard and an overly friendly lab mix, Turnip, to keep your dog company. About: Over the years I have taken care of many different kinds of animals including dogs and cats, of which I've owned two of each, guinea pigs, mice, and more! In my veterinary science classes, I learned a lot about the handling of dogs, cats, and small animals and got lots of hands-on experience working with dogs during weekly grooming days. Previously, I have worked in a dog hotel as a kennel assistant where I provided many different services for dogs including feeding, cleaning and walking. Along with this, I also often pet sit for my friends and family :D I'm currently taking a class over the summer, but I still have a good amount of time to go around. I am available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday after 4:30pm, Tuesday and Thursday after 12:30pm, and all day on weekends! Ella did an amazing job with my tuxedo cat! She sat and played with her-gave her treats-scooped the litter box-even managed to brush her a little! Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
