About: I grew up around pets and have always been passionate about caring for animals of every kind. I have experience with senior care from my own experience with my past pets. I have also worked at a doggy daycare, and took care of many different kinds of dogs who all have different needs. I pride myself on my education in applied behavior analysis, which comes in handy for pups who are still being trained. About: I’ve had family dogs since I was about 8 years old. Between them and looking after neighbors dogs, I’ve come to love taking care of dogs. We enlisted Maria to visit and provide care for our "super-senior" 16 year old cat (Tabitha), as our usual neighbor was not available. This was for an extended trip of 11 days, and we were very concerned about finding a proper caregiver. Maria did a terrific job! She followed our instructions precisely, and she had no difficulty in giving Tabitha her meds 2x/day (not an easy task). She provided pictures and an update summary from every visit. We came home from our trip to find Tabitha content and quite well. We will definitely enlist Maria for our next trip.
As a first time Rover user and overly protective pet parent, I was anxious about leaving the care of my two cats to someone who I didn’t know. I typically have a friend or relative stay at my house to cat sit, so this was the first time doing drop in visits with a new person. I knew I wouldn’t settle on just anyone for this task. Jessica was friendly and responsive, but the main reason I decided to book with her was because she seemed very much like a cat person herself, so I knew she’d understand certain nuances and difficulties, and be willing to work with me despite them. I have two cats with completely different personalities, a loyal and sensitive senior boy whose respect you have to work for, and a shy but sweet girl who has no problem making human friends. My senior boy shocked me by being the more open and social of the two for the 2 days we were gone, and it made me feel much more at ease that he gave Jessica his stamp of approval. My cats looked happy and well cared for when I came home. Jessica followed the (many) instructions I gave her with no issues, and was willing to work with the cats to ensure they were comfortable. She was also so communicative while at the house. I’m so glad I decided to book with Jessica and feel comfortable booking with her again for future visits!
Lucas was GREAT!! Mishu can be shy but opened up to him fairly quickly<3. Lucas went out of his way to update me on how Mishu was doing, as well as sending me pictures of her. It was nice being able to know she was okay from afar. You can truly tell Lucas loves animals, even Mishu noticed haha. If you’re looking for a sitter for your sitter for your furry babies, i would 110% recommend Lucas.
Sonia did an awesome job taking care of my cats. They got plenty of love and attention, she was very punctual showing up for the appointments, and she did a great job giving one of my boys oral medicine (both liquid and pill). She also took great photos that were really awesome to see while I was gone ♥️♥️
This was Kate’s first time watching my crew and it couldn’t have gone better. From the initial meet and greet to the last day everything was great. My cats took to her almost immediately. She is very communicative and send pictures every visit. It makes it easier to travel when you know your pets are being well cared for.
Jiamin did an excellent job checking in on, playing with, and feeding our two cats while we were away for a few days! She followed instructions perfectly and made sure our cats actually ate (one gets distracted very easily) and gave them lots of love and play time. She gave detailed updates and sent lots of photos and pics which we appreciated and enjoyed. We will definitely use Jiamin again!
Bridget is wonderful with our kitty. Came over to learn our needs for our diabetic kitty and made sure she was ready for the task. She was prompt at timing and hung out with our fur baby to give her plenty of loving. We received photos for every visit. We would book with her again!
