“Working with Natassia has been an incredible experience for both me and my dogs. She is very knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about dogs and their training. She took the time to understand my dog’s personality and tailored the training approach to fit our specific needs. The results have been amazing and I feel much more confident as an owner too. I highly recommend Natassia to anyone looking for a professional, caring, and effective dog trainer. Their dedication truly makes a difference, and I’m so grateful for everything they’ve helped us achieve.”

“I recently enrolled my puppy Rocket in Doberman Crew dog training, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From the very beginning, the trainers showed a deep understanding of dog behavior and tailored their approach specifically to Rocket’s needs. The sessions were well-structured, engaging, and positive, which made learning fun for both Rocket and me. The training focused on potty training and simple puppy rules, and Rocket picked them up quickly. The trainers were patient and clear, helping Rocket understand boundaries and good habits early on. Thanks to their guidance, Rocket is doing great with house manners and basic commands, making life easier and more enjoyable for both of us. I highly recommend Doberman Crew for anyone starting out with a new puppy.”

“We highly recommend Albert! He worked wonders with our Aussie, who has a high drive and several anxiety triggers. His structured approach and expert advice left us feeling empowered and confident. He’s professional, pleasant to work with, and truly knows his stuff. If you have a challenging or high-energy dog, Albert is your guy!”

“Skylar was great. Took Coco out and not only explained what to do but showed me what to do to minimize Coco’s reactivity when in walks. Not for the hard part, implementing what I’ve learned. Will definitely rebook as needed.”

“I met Miran when my dog was a puppy and I was struggling with training. In just two weeks, Tosca learned so much through positive reinforcement, and with Miran’s guidance I was able to continue the training on my own with great results. Miran is a true “dog whisperer”—gentle, intuitive, and deeply connected to dogs. Tosca still stays with her when we travel, and is always so happy to see her, which says everything. I highly recommend Miran.”

“We are working with Dominque to train our sweet (but stubborn Golden). Dominque had him walking better on a leash within the first block! He is very knowledgeable, confident, and reassuring. I would highly recommend him as a dog trainer!”

“Teresa was amazing with my puppy. From the very beginning she wanted to be informed of what help I needed. When I picked Taco up, she made a lot of suggestions to help me with continue training Taco. I can see why all the dogs love her so much, she is very warm and caring of her dogs. I highly recommend her if you want to leave your puppy. I felt very comfortable leaving my baby.”

“Jose demonstrates a genuinely love of not just training dogs, but helping his clients understand their pets. He is very professional and puts a lot of care into working with the dogs and is very responsive to client needs. He puts together training programs that work towards achieving the clients goal, whether its protect or just basic obedience. He is very friendly, honest, and super easy to work with. Clients can expect to walk away with great results and feel empowered going forward.”

“I met Kate when my puppy, Pippin was just 13 weeks old. I can't tell you how lucky both Pippin and I were! Kate's approach - partnership between person and dog, attentiveness to one another - builds great friendships while also teaching great skills. Pippin has learned all I've asked of him, and with no stress. His whole body wags when he sees "Auntie Kate" every week!”

“Lei communicated really well with us and showed a great amount of professionalism and knowledge during our session. Her training plan was tailored for our needs and she took her time to listen to our goals. We will continue to use her services!”

“Kirk was attentive, had great communication, and was professional. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a good dog trainer. I can see the difference in the walk already and I really needed a change of experience with the doggo. Thanks Kirk!”
“I started working with Dolores Murray in 2021. When my dog was 11 weeks old we started to have weekly lessons. Dolores gave me and my dog different assignments to work on each week. My dog is now almost 4 years old. Dolores encouraged me to have my dog take the American Kennel Club “Canine Good Citizen” test. My dog passed all parts on the first try. I could not recommend Dolores Murray more highly. She can teach you how to train your dog but you have to follow through with the training every day. Today, I could not dream of having a better dog.”

About: I do not discriminate against any breed, or aggressive dogs. I have had ten years of experience working with dogs and spent two of them shadowing other trainers and learning what techniques work for me and what does not.
“Taylor has an excellent rapport with my dog. He took to her immediately and every training session we’ve learned at least two new things that stay with him after she’s gone.”

“Brad is a wonderful trainer. He is very patient, both with my pup and me! I am so thankful to his help with leash behavior, addressing issues of separation anxiety and integration of our dog into our multi-cat household. He is very responsive and answers questions thoughtfully. He is a gem!”

“I was very impressed with Lindsay’s professional dog training knowledge and her ability to bond with Rusty. She gave me some helpful advice and I am looking forward to her training session.”

Dog Training FAQs
Frequently asked questions about Rover
Trainers listing on Rover must be credentialed dog trainers, commit to reward-based training methods, and pass a background check to offer dog training in Fairfax.
Reward-based training encourages dogs to offer desired behaviors by reinforcing the behavior with something the dog likes; treats, play, or toys. Reward-based training prioritizes using the least intrusive intervention; it promotes thinking rather than punishing mistakes.
When rewards are used, the likelihood the behavior is repeated increases. The positive connection to the reward results in making learning enjoyable, strengthens the human animal bond and over time leads to consistent desired behaviors.
Training can happen many places — your home, a park, a store, or anywhere else that you and your trainer decide is best for the training you are doing! Many trainers will recommend training in your home. This allows them to observe your dog in their natural environment so they can effectively assess and best help reach your training goals.
Trainers will often mention on their profile where they typically hold training sessions, but you can always contact a trainer to learn more!
Rover makes it easy to find Fairfax dog trainers to provide loving care from their own home. The background-checked, 5-star trainers you can find on Rover will work with you and your dog to build new skills and address behaviors. Dog trainers can work on:
- Puppy training, adult dog training, agility training, clicker training and advanced training.
- Behaviors such as barking, leash manners, leash reactivity, house manners, jumping, fearful behavior, anxious behavior, separation distress, recall, biting, chewing, mouthiness, potty training and resource guarding.
Of course! Having a trainer that is the right fit for both you and your pup is an important step to reaching your training goals. We recommend reaching out to any trainer that interests you. Your initial request is not final until both you and the trainer decide you want to move forward with booking.
Also, trainers may offer or require consultations. Make sure to ask trainers so you can make the best decision for you and your pet.
Many trainers on Rover indicate experience in a wide range of behaviors, from puppy training to more advanced behaviors and training types.
Review a trainer’s profile to see if their experience aligns with your needs, and if you have questions, don’t hesitate to contact them to ensure they’re the right trainer for you and your pet.
We get it—sometimes plans change and you may need to cancel your dog training service. You can cancel an upcoming booking directly from the Rover app or your computer, in accordance with your trainer’s cancellation policy.
Note: If your dog trainer requested to cancel this booking, then they need to cancel from their account. Please contact them via Rover Messages.
