About: Over the years I have taken care of many different kinds of animals including dogs and cats, of which I've owned two of each, guinea pigs, mice, and more! In my veterinary science classes, I learned a lot about the handling of dogs, cats, and small animals and got lots of hands-on experience working with dogs during weekly grooming days. Previously, I have worked in a dog hotel as a kennel assistant where I provided many different services for dogs including feeding, cleaning and walking. Along with this, I also often pet sit for my friends and family :D I'm currently taking a class over the summer, but I still have a good amount of time to go around. I am available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday after 4:30pm, Tuesday and Thursday after 12:30pm, and all day on weekends! I have experience working with a variety of tempers in dogs, cats, and other animals. I'm very patient with nervous/shy animals and can match a higher energy as well.
About: ! My name is Elizabeth, and I recently graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. I’ve always had a passion for animals and currently have two dogs and three cats of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets. Over the past six years, I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all ages and personalities through pet sitting for family, friends, and neighbors. I recently graduated and start full time work end of August. Until then open schedule Monday through Sunday and i’m flexible with times and dates! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, medications, and any special instructions. I treat every home with respect by keeping it clean, secure, and exactly as I found it. I’ll also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable in their familiar environment.
“Jessica was the best! I have a very shy pup - and she totally won her over! She was also super helpful with my mom who has some mobility issues, and was home sometimes while she was managing my pups. Jessica was always professional, as well as loving and kind, while taking care of my pets and home.”

“My cat is a little finicky with the people he gets along with, but Maria definitely knows how to work with him and he seems happy when she comes by! Couldn’t recommend more.”

“Teju communicates extremely well and showed true care towards my cat. They went above and beyond while I was away and I would absolutely love to rebook them in the future.”

About: I’ve had family dogs since I was about 8 years old. Between them and looking after neighbors dogs, I’ve come to love taking care of dogs. Through that I’ve gotten ample experience looking after aging, and dogs with different restrictions. I’m working on personal projects at the moment, so I’ll have as much much time as you need to look after your Pup(s) I have one elderly border collie at home, although he’s still pretty spry for his age. He sleeps in a crate, but has plenty of room in our fenced backyard.
“Christine was an outstanding sitter — personable, professional, and clearly experienced. She provided detailed updates and plenty of photos after each visit, which gave us great peace of mind. We felt our dog was in excellent hands and would strongly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable drop-in care.”

House care gets the same attention to detail: I’ll monitor your plants, water them according to your schedule and current weather conditions, and make sure trash and recycling go out on time. I hope to have the opportunity to help you and your fur babies out! I work in healthcare Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, so I’m unable to stop in for visits during those hours. However, I’m happy to complete your pet’s morning routine before I head to work and arrange visits outside of work hours on weekdays. I have full availability on weekends as well. You can count on open and consistent communication throughout my stay, with regular updates on both your home and your pets.

“Sheila did a great job attending to our two cats while we were away for a week. She was consist with her visits. She was kept us up to date with her checking with us. It was nice to feel they were left in good hands. We highly recommend her.”

About: I've been fortunate to have pets since I was young, including newts, rabbits, and dogs. My beloved Marley lived a wonderful 17 years, and he's deeply missed. For the past 8 years, I've been passionate about professional pet care, and I truly love what I do. I'm certified in CPR and first aid for pets, which helps me feel confident in caring for animals. I enjoy taking walks and supporting pet owners in their care routines. To me, being helpful and kind to all living beings is very important. I'm here for you and your furry friend every day of the week! During weekdays, I happily offer daily dog walks from 9am to 5pm, with slight variations possible if I have overnight visits. On weekends, I also enjoy taking your dog for walks between 9am and 5pm, unless I'm booked overnight. I can't wait to help care for your dog and provide peace of mind for you! I used positive reinforcement with treats for dogs. I make sure to show up on time for each visit. Make sure the animal has fresh water, food, or meds if needed. Check to see if the area where the dog or cat has access is clean. Then I get the dog outside so they can enjoy their visit. If I'm doing overnights I make sure the lights are rotated on and off, take out trash, bring in mail, and packages. My goal is to make sure your pets are comfortable and well taken care of.
“Bristol was fantastic for drop in visits for both cats and dogs! She was a great help in finding a last minute pet sitter. She is very quick and responsive to messages and included detailed updates about our fur babies, and truly seemed to care about them. Would definitely recommend Bristol for all other pet needs, and will definitely be reaching out again if we need help in the future!!”

Natassia is amazing! We feel so at ease when she’s coming to walk our puppy! She sends details updates, on time, easy to talk to, and our dog LOVES her, seriously!!!! I highly recommend Natassia if you want to be able to relax while you’re away from your pets

Cindy is a life saver ! I booked her last minute and right there and then she went as soon as possible to do the drop in for my pets. Cindy truly cares for your pet ! She will go above and beyond. Cindy was so sweet , my fur baby’s got so comfortable and felt a good connection with her right away. Cindy thank you again! Will be booking again!

FIVE STARS!! We have 2 dogs and one is very scared of strangers. Jessica was patient and loving with him and he warmed up to her very quickly (faster than any other stranger/dog sitter), and I think they were besties by the end of our trip! Jessica sent detailed communication after each visit along with super sweet pictures. She made wise decisions related to changing weather and communicated everything with us. Our dogs are high energy and she played with the dogs every visit which was awesome. We will definitely be using her services in the future and would 100% reccomend her. I think the dogs are really going to miss her!

Winnie was AMAZING with our dog and cat. She gave them tons of attention and made sure they were mentally stimulated. She also sent us thorough updates after each drop-in, which relieved a lot of our anxieties. I would definitely rehire her, and I highly recommend her if you want someone who takes care of your pets like they’re her own.

Beth L. was able to step in quickly when our sitter cancelled and do drop in visits for our dog while we were away for multiple days. She cheerfully got Nelly up and fed in the morning and put her in her crate at night after ensuring she got some outdoor and play time and water. She was communicative and responsive the whole time and Nelly did well. We really appreciated her help!

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Fairfax stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Fairfax choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Fairfax with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
