About: I've cared for friends' fur babies throughout my teen and adult years. I also grew up with dogs. I was tasked with walking, feeding, and watering our black Labrador, Blackjack, until he passed back in November 2012. I know every dog needs at least two walks. I want work-life balance, so I am available on weekdays afternoons and evenings, plus weekends, as long as it's scheduled at least three days before. While in my client's home, I'll send daily photos and videos of their fur babies so they don't need to worry or miss their dogs. I'll also be sure to leave the home almost exactly as I found it.
“Lina is extremely attentive and caring towards our pets. Even our usually shy kitty has learned to come and greet her at the door. We feel at ease leaving our pets knowing they are in the best hands!”

About: Having taken care of a precious Springer Spaniel for 14 years (Cocoa), I'll do my best to take care of your dog as if he or she were my own. I'm usually quite responsive when it comes to bookings and arrangements, responding within 15-20 minutes. I'll take them out to play and walk and feed them at least three times a day. I'll also bathe them, if need be. Most importantly, I will be as flexible and accommodating as possible to ensure that your dog will have fun while with me. I currently have open availability in my schedule, so I could most definitely sit your dog full-time if necessary. Above all else, I just love working with dogs as they are my favorite animal.
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and have experience watching and caring for both dogs and cats. I’m also comfortable with dogs of all sizes! I work from home every day and have a very flexible work schedule so I can check in on your pets whenever you need me to. I can feed, walk, and play with all sorts of animals! I really love being around animals and they seem to love being around me!
“Bethany was great with our dogs and they were happy and well cared for! One of our dogs needs insulin injections with meals and that makes it harder to find someone to take care of him, so connecting with Bethany was a relief! She has experience with injections and was a pro at administering his meds! We will definitely reach out to Bethany again - 5+ stars!”

“Allie was so great with both of my dogs and always sent very detailed notes on their time together. I will definitely reach out to Allie again when I needy girls checked in on!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs&cats since elementary school. I’d find myself naturally responsible for feeding, walking, cleaning, and loving them. I’ve done cat sitting for a friend for as long as a month, and dog sitting basically all my life since I grew up them. I’m experienced in caring for pups less than a year old, and older dogs as well~ I worked at Dogtopia where I handled over 40 dogs in one room! I have experience handling dog scuffles and managing dog behavior. My current schedule is open and free Sunday through Saturday. The holidays being an exception as I will be out of town for the week of Christmas. I am prepared to meet the needs of your 4-legged loved one in any way that they need. Request and I will deliver as best as I can. I believe our furry friends deserve respect and have boundaries as we do.
“Michael was prompt and responsive and took great care of Mindy, adjusting to her needs. There were a couple unexpected surprises along the way - one major one which we also did not expect while away - and that was gardeners in the back yard…which Mindy wasn’t very happy with - but Michael swooped in and dealt with it as well as he could, and remained professional. From the pictures, Mindy seemed to enjoy their time together. We would invite Michael back again!”

About: I'm happy to walk and play with big dogs. I am patient and calm around wary cats but happy to be playful, too! I've been lucky enough to parent three dogs and four cats. I like all pets, and I think they like me, too. I'm a teacher to widely available in the summer. I'm available to house-sit including weekdays. I'm up early to exercise so happy to make early morning visits or walks. I have cats, so I don't plan to care for other pets in my home. In your home I will treat both your pets and property with care and professionalism. I'm happy to just pop in for food and bathroom breaks or to stay and keep your pet company for a while. I love playing with both cats and dogs, including just sitting with them on my lap.
“Birdie and I love Samantha! She’s so friendly and always adaptable when things are last minute which is usually when Birdie and I need help! Lots of love and belly scratches! My girl is so lucky.”

About: I've loved taking care of all animals since I was a kid! I grew up with a dog and now have one of my own, along with guinea pigs. I will give your pet all the love and care they deserve! I currently work full time M-F, and can help out early in the morning or in the evening, as well as on the weekends. I will give your pet all the love and attention they want, and will follow your instructions to the letter! I will help out in any way I can!
About: I pay attention to details. I’m active if the dog is active. I love giving belly rubs for long periods if needed and I love comforting the pups if needed. I’m up early in the morning so definitely available for a quick pop in if you’re stuck at the office or if your pup just needs some lovin before you come home! I love pets and I just wanna be around them so this is the perfect way to spend my spare time! My work schedule at the moment I work nights so I usually go in about 4 pm and then depending on the work load I could stay for 12+ hours getting off around 4-5 in the morning. I can easily crate dogs if needed, I will keep your dog out of harm on walks by walking on the other side of the street of another dog entirely if they don’t seem friendly. Any notes you have will be helpful but I have plenty experience with my purebred blue nose Pitt Logan.
About: I myself had a puppy the year of Covid. Although it was hard to have my puppy engaged with other dogs I still made the most of my time to entertain and train my dog. I love spending quality time with other dogs in my area just to make sure they also feel a sense of comfort. One skill of mine is being an all around athlete and staying fit so if your dog loves long walks I will be sure to do that. I’m currently working full time from 8-3pm. I’m usually free during weekends all day, but mainly late evenings. I would say anytime during the weekday after 7 starting July 1st is good. Depending on what the clients have at their home fences always work. At my house at least we had an open yard so I just let my dog run but he was well trained to be able to stay on the yard. Other than that I would prefer to have the leash on the dog at all times even if they’re running outside in a fenced area.
About: I’ve worked at a doggie day care for 3 years. This included walking, bathing, playing and watching. I have 3 family dogs that I help take care of with one of them going to college with me. I know how to engage with dogs and keep them happy. I am working part time so I’ll have plenty of time! I can walk dogs anytime in the morning before 11:30 am! I make it a priority to stick with this schedule. I make sure I am watching your dog at all time. I have worked with all types of dogs and know how to work with almost all! I make sure I introduce myself!
Annandale dog parents share their Rover experiences
Trent took wonderful care of my dog while I was out of town. He provided plenty of pictures showing how Murphy was doing and put extra attention into the different things I told him regarding Murphy! I felt much better about leaving Murphy for the weekend knowing Trent was taking care of him. Highly recommend to others!

Aura was fantastic! Communicative, punctual, friendly, and was great about following our somewhat complicated instructions for feeding our dog. She brought in our packages to keep them out of the rain, too! Would absolutely work with her again, and thank you, Aura, for taking care of our old girl!

Mary was quick to respond to our request and at the meet and greet we immediately knew she’d be great for Lyla! We ended up canceling at the last minute but only because it was mutually agreed upon. Both of us had schedule changes and it just worked better. We can’t wait to reschedule so Mary can check in on Lyla again. Thanks for your flexibility Mary!
