“I wish I could gatekeep, but Rachel deserves all the praise - she always treats my pets super well, sends lots of photos, and is super communicative!! Recently she even brought over extra herbs from her kitchen for my pet bunny 🥹🫶🏻 she’s the best and I genuinely can not recommend her enough!!”

About: Through most of my life I have loved dogs as I have lived with them my entire life. I learned how take care for them from a young age and they became part of my family. Starting when I was twelve I started to provide drop-in care for my aunt's two dogs afterschool. In high school, I volunteered for the Human Society where I was responsible for engaging and caring for the animals, reading them for when they would be adopted. I have plenty of time to care for your fur babies, as I am waiting to start my freshman year at GMU. I am open everyday to walk, sit, or drop-in on your four legged family member/s. I treat the pets that are in my house as if they were part of my family; so I give them all the love and attention they need.
“Dana was wonderful with Gunnar. We really felt like our pup was in good hands while we were out of town and loved receiving the updates on how he was doing. She went above and beyond our expectations. 10/10 recommend Dana!”

“Elvia is wonderful with our two cats. She takes time to engage with them while she's here and sends thorough updates with lots of pictures. I can't recommend her highly enough!!”

“Lauren is communicative and loves to take care of our pets and play with them. She's persistent in working through challenges that come up and we'll be happy to book her in the future!”

“Kyle is great. My almost 3 year-old golden retriever still has quite a bit of energy and I work a lot so it’s nice to know that I can rely on Kyle to periodically check in on Buddy and let him out if needed. 🙂 Highly recommended!”

“Megan was fantastic and very communicative. She always left thoughtful reports about our pets and took tons of pictures. I'd highly recommend her to care for you fur babies!”

“Zachary did a great job taking care of our kitties while were out the the country. I really appreciated the updates I received through the app, so i never had to worry!”

About: I have grown up with dogs since I was young. I have volunteered at Pet Rescue centers and I have dog walked and was a sitter for many people in my community. I want to become more active and dog walking will help. I love to play fetch, walk dogs and if they are down to cuddle we can do that too! I’m a huge Dog Lover and I will do my best to give your dog a fun and enjoyable time. I am pretty flexible in the evenings every day and I will be available during most weekends. This is something I love to do so please feel free to contact me and I would love to meet you and your furry friend! I’m currently pretty flexible with my schedule. I work part-time from home and I have a morning routine but fairly flexible schedule during the daytime. I enjoy dog walking in the safer areas within the city with plenty of space for each of the dogs to roam, explore and play.

“Will definitely continue to use Cassidy to care for our cat when we travel! She took excellent care of our cat and communicated with us about everything! We couldn't be happier!”

About: Hi! I’m Jaqueline, and I’ve always had a strong love for animals. In high school, I took an academy course in veterinary science, which taught me the basics of animal health, safety, and proper care. I’m very cautious and attentive when it comes to animals, and I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, or just companionship, I treat every pet like my own and pay close attention to their needs and behavior. Hi! I currently work part-time at a photography company and also run my own small business. I attend NOVA, but I have a flexible schedule and love spending my free time with animals. I’m reliable, attentive, and always make sure pets feel safe, happy, and cared for. During the summer, I’ll have even more availability to give your pets plenty of attention and care. I have a fully fenced yard and live in a quiet, peaceful, safe neighborhood, which provides a great space for pets to play and enjoy the outside
“Jackie is awesome! She is extremely caring and was very responsive. Our dog is very shy and anxious, but Jackie instantly earned her trust. 10/10 would recommend Jackie!”

About: Hello! My name is Lacey. I am small business owner that really enjoys dogs! I have owned dogs my entire life. While in high school worked at vet's office, with the boarding animals, as well as, a doggy daycare. While working in the doggy daycare I was in charge of many things such as: setting up socializing groups, walking, feeding, bathing and administering medication to all of the animals. In college, through a service dog program, I fostered and socialized a 6 month old Golden Retriever for semester. During that time I prepared him for advance service dog training. While graduate school I dog sat regularly and walked dogs between classes. All of these experiences have allowed me to become comfortable with all breeds, sizes and temperaments of dogs! As an adult I currently own two of my own dogs: Nash, a pug and Jax, a Sheperd mix. I can’t wait to meet your fur baby! I currently own my own business and my daily hours are usually 4-9pm. This allows me morning flexibility to help you with your dog’s needs! I feel comfortable and confident administering medication, walking any size of dog or supervising play time! Whether your dog needs a long session of fetch, a leisurely sniff walk or a brisk morning lap around the block, I’m here to help!
“Hieu and Anna have become our favorite walkers for Azula and Obi. They have taken such good care of our high energy dogs and are wonderful with communication while I am out of town. Our doggies look forward to the next time!”

“Janette always does such a phenomenal job watching over FatFat. I never have to worry if FatFat is being taken care of, and I truly appreciate how much she cares about my cat like she’s her own.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Franconia
Sarah was amazing. She played with Chesney, brushed him (and found the brush even when I couldn’t clearly remember where it was) and actually hid and observed him to figure out how he was getting through the fences inside the house. Chesney is a big guy and high energy and it didn’t faze Sarah! She kept me posted and really went the extra mile to make sure Chesney and my home were safe. I’d recommend Sarah to anyone and will definitely use her again
Mariia was amazing with our pets and communicating with us while we were away. Our cat usually takes a bit to warm up, and he came out to meet her immediately. I could tell through the photos that our dog was less stressed every visit. He has anxiety when we leave, so it took a lot of stress off of us to see he was being well taken care of.

Cassidy has been amazing with Sienna! She has been so patient with my tiny puppy and has really helped make my transition back to work much less stressful. I always appreciate her updates and photos, and it’s clear she treats Sienna with kindness and care. Knowing someone I trust is checking on my puppy gives me so so much peace do mind! It truly does!

We are beyond grateful for having Angie come in to let our Buster bear out for potty break and for playing with him and his ball. For loving him and understanding our need for last minute care and being new to the area. Angie is outstanding furbaby sitter. We cannot Thank You enough. We will be booking future dates with her. If she will have us. 😂 Thanks again Angie. We'll talk soon.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
