“Birdie and I love Samantha! She’s so friendly and always adaptable when things are last minute which is usually when Birdie and I need help! Lots of love and belly scratches! My girl is so lucky.”

“Dana is fabulous and my baby SweetPea loved her time with her. The pictures Dana took of her were just amazing and I'm so happy I picked her to take care of my baby. I look forward to Dana taking care of my SweetPea weekly going forward :) I couldn't be happier and feel at ease knowing my baby girl is being so well taken care of by the awesome Dana!!”
“Claudia has been amazing with Daisy! It’s so nice to know someone is stopping in to check on her while I’m at work and Daisy appreciates the extra attention. Daisy gets so excited whenever Claudia walks in the door and we’re grateful someone loves our fur baby as much as we do!”

“Alyssa did such a wonderful job caring for my boys while i was out of town! Per my requests, she visited them every morning and evening for breakfast and dinner. I got so many wonderful photos of her playing with them and snuggling with them (they're VERY cuddly boys and adore sitting on and falling asleep on their favorite humans). Although my older cat Ziggy has had some anxiety issues lately, they didn't act up at all while Alyssa took care of him, and he didn't pee on anything except the litter box! This is a clear sign that he felt safe with her. He also had some GI issues when i was gone and had a diarrhea accident, but Alyssa was right there ready to handle it. She did such a great job caring for my cats that I'm literally asking her to come back the next weekend, lol. I would hire her back anytime!”

About: I have 13 years of experience, caring for dogs and cats. I owned and cared for my German Shepherd dog for a wonderful 13 years before she passed away. I love dogs of all sizes and I feel comfortable around all breeds. I am a former finance professional who left corporate and I am now retired early. I would love to walk your dog or take care of your pet. I am retired and my days are very open to take care of your pet. My main goal is to spend time with your pet and take them for a walks. I cannot have pets of my own because my husband is allergic to everything furry. I cannot care for pets in my own home, but I am happy to care for them in your home. I will play with your dog, take them for a walk, feed them, administer medication, and spend time with them. Most dogs love me and I am comfortable around any breed including German Shepherd, Doberman, Boxer, etc.
About: I have almost 30 years of experience taking care of pets, from mostly dogs, to gerbils, to fish, to rabbits, and even cats. It all started by taking care of my aunt and uncle's dog and cat while they were away. I also helped my cousins with their rabbits when we were younger. Over the years, my family had many goldfish (won from fairs or carnivals), two gerbils, and a black lab who lived almost 14 years. In college, one of my roommates got a rabbit that we all worked together to take care of as well. Now, I mainly help family and friends with their pets while they're away, but I would love to branch out. I enjoy taking dogs for walks and playing with them in the backyard (or inside a house if it's allowed). I'm looking to try this out as a side gig and possibly turn it into more, so I am dedicated to find time that meets your schedule. Since I live in an apartment, I am unable to take care of any pets (not already listed on my lease) in my home. However, I am willing to come to your house and will make sure to lock any doors used and make sure everything is cleaned up as much as possible before leaving.
“Taylor is fantastic! Taylor has been doing drop ins for my dogs and the pups have really enjoyed having Taylor come over and spend time with them! So grateful!”
“Jackie is awesome! She is extremely caring and was very responsive. Our dog is very shy and anxious, but Jackie instantly earned her trust. 10/10 would recommend Jackie!”

“Thank you, Kelly, for checking on my cat! My trip was less stressful knowing he was in good hands, his litter boxes were cleaned, and his water was changed. Thanks for the photos too!”

“Viviana was so sweet and gentle with my 3 month old pup! It’s very clear she cares about her and wants to see her thrive as much as I do. She’s a great communicator and always sends the best pics/videos to make you feel like you’re there.”

“Olena was amazing! She went above and beyond to make sure my two cats were taken care of and that I would be coming home to a clean house. She was punctual and communicative, and made every part of the booking process easy. I highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs!”

“Miranda helped me out in a pinch and sent so many adorable pictures of my lil kitty❤️ my senior cat is picky and he seemed to eat up his food easily thanks to Miranda following his feeding instructions perfectly! appreciate her so much!”

“Gabby is amazing and I would wholeheartedly recommend her! Gabby has been coming to spend time with our puppy every day (and she absolutely loves Gabby). Gabby is communicative and very helpful and I am looking forward to continuing working with her!”

“Hieu and Anna were able to accommodate a last minute drop-in because we had to be out the whole day. Our high energy Aussies got to see their favorite aunties and loved the visit. Thank you ladies!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was young, and I’ve had my own dog, Koa, since she was a puppy. Raising and training Koa has given me hands-on experience with puppy care, basic training, routines, socialization, and understanding a dog’s individual personality and needs. I’m excited to welcome new pups into my home and give them the same patience, attention, and care I give my own dogs. I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routines and take the time to help them feel comfortable and safe. I’m currently a student with a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time to give your pup attention, playtime, and lots of love! I’m available for boarding on weekends and select weekdays, and I’m happy to work with you to find a schedule that fits your pet’s routine. I’m also comfortable providing regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, some training and plenty of supervision throughout the day. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs who are used to being around other dogs. I provide a clean, comfortable, and supervised home environment where pets can relax and feel safe. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal feeding, potty, walking, and medication routines, and I can provide a crate or separate space when needed.

Leaving my dogs behind while out of town for six days was a first for me, so I was naturally pretty nervous going into the process. I interviewed several people before meeting Velkin in person. My girlfriend and I hosted her for a meet and greet, and her genuine, welcoming presence stood out immediately. There was nothing fake or performative about her. She has the kind of ground-level authenticity that puts you at ease right away. My Chihuahuas took to her immediately as well, which said everything. If you know anything about Chihuahuas, they do not warm up to strangers quickly, if at all. Hiring her was an easy decision, and she did not disappoint. She came by twice a day to handle feeding, water, outdoor time, and spending quality time with them. Beyond basic care, she treated my dogs like her own. I received regular photos and detailed updates after her visits, giving me complete peace of mind. I also felt totally comfortable giving her unfettered access to my home while I was away. On top of everything, she was remarkably flexible. When I came home a day early, she was gracious enough to modify the booking and remove that final day. Since she had reserved that slot for me, it would have been completely fair for her to charge for the full six days, so that gesture was unexpected and extremely kind. Velkin did a phenomenal job, and I have zero regrets about hiring her. She provides world class service, and I would recommend her to anyone without hesitation. I will definitely reach out to her again the next time I travel. Thanks again Velkin. You rock :) Jose, Stephanie, Lucy, & Waffles
Leah was so incredibly kind to Ari and Sundance and we were so grateful for her help while we had an out of town trip. She was loving to them, very communicative, and even went out of the way to make sure that one of our pups didn’t jump around too much after eating his meal after I mentioned how we try to keep him settled. Her attentiveness to detail was so much appreciated!

Bailey is AWESOME! She looked after my elderly dog for almost a full week, dealing with unique dietary and medicine needs and keeping us totally informed the whole time. She asked super insightful questions and we could tell from the beginning she takes this duty extremely seriously, which was a huge relief as we went on our longest trip in awhile. Bailey does a great job of immediately fostering trust and is a true professional, and we thank her deeply for her help!

I had a wonderful experience with McKenna! I was away traveling, and it gave me such peace of mind knowing my pets were being well cared for. She was dependable, attentive, and kept me updated, which I really appreciated. It was clear that my pets were comfortable and well taken care of while I was gone. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their pets. I will absolutely request her service again!

Sarah was amazing. She played with Chesney, brushed him (and found the brush even when I couldn’t clearly remember where it was) and actually hid and observed him to figure out how he was getting through the fences inside the house. Chesney is a big guy and high energy and it didn’t faze Sarah! She kept me posted and really went the extra mile to make sure Chesney and my home were safe. I’d recommend Sarah to anyone and will definitely use her again

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
