They will receive attention, care, love, and a fun time! Please feel free to reach out to me for any further questions or concerns. I have a flexible schedule on weekdays and weekends. About: I’ve worked at a pet care hotel for the past year and a half and loved it. I was responsible for keeping a clean environment for the animals, and taking them out for walks. Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine because I have a flexible schedule and am available throughout the day. This allows me to provide walks, drop-in visits, and pet care at times that work best for pet owners. I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals, so caring for pets is something I genuinely look forward to each day. I have experience caring for dogs and currently have a dog of my own. Because my dog is not always comfortable around other animals, I prefer to provide pet care in clients’ homes, where pets can stay in their familiar environment and maintain their normal routines. When caring for pets, I follow the owner’s instructions closely, ensure they get plenty of exercise, attention, and playtime, and prioritize their safety and comfort at all times.
About: I have had pets since I was I was 5 years old, so I have plenty of experience with big and small dogs, kittens, and senior cats! I've never been without at least 1 cat and dog in my household. I currently have a 12 year old cat named Charles who is my absolute best friend. I'm currently on summer vacation from school, so I am free to spend lots of time taking care of pets! I am available 7 days a week, no matter the time! I can come to your house as often as needed to keep an eye on your loved pets. I am available for drop-in visits and overnight stays.
About: ***I am independently insured through PetCare for greater peace of mind while you’re away*** I've recently gone through a career switch from caring for humans (I was a registered nurse) to caring for animals last year. However, I have loved and cared for several personal and friend’s pets, to include cats, dogs, guinea pigs, birds, and reptiles, throughout my entire life. I hold a strong passion for advocating and caring for all beings with empathy, patience, and understanding. Since my career switch, I have experienced pets who need extra attention due to daily medications, reactivity, older age, anxiety, and helping to instill training (I am not a certified trainer) the clients are already teaching their pet(s) during my walks and/or pet sits. Dog walking and pet sitting is my full time job now. Whether you need a midday walk or need someone to care for your pets while you escape on vacation, I’m available for either service throughout the week, weekend, and some holidays. While I do not provide care in my home, I do travel to your pets while you’re away. My approach to caring for animals is with a lot of patience and respect. I’m happy to take it slow for each animal that may be a bit timid at first. I have a lot of experience personally and professionally working with animals who are timid, reactive, etc. For new clients, I like to have a meet/greet to go over care instructions before the pet sitting/walking dates. This gives us the opportunity to ask questions and discuss further what you can expect while you’re away. My goal is to provide care the way your pet is used to. I send daily updates/pictures/video to give you the reassurance that your pet is being loved on just the way you would if you were there.
About: Hi, I’m Cortney! I'm a lifelong dog lover with over 12 years of hands-on experience caring for and walking my own pups. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and I pride myself on being patient, dependable, and in tune with each dog’s unique personality. Whether your pup’s into fast-paced walks, leisurely sniffing around the block, or just soaking up some extra love, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. Your dog’s happiness and well-being are my top priorities and I treat every dog like my own! I’m currently a stay at home mom looking to take care of furry friends during the weekdays and weekends. I have plenty of time to devote to caring for your pets. I have a small fenced in backyard that’s suitable for a quick trip outside. Our neighborhood is full of trails and sidewalks where your pet will be walked several times per day (depending on their needs).

I don’t have to start my day super early, so I’ll be available in the mornings during the week to take care of your pets. I’m also available in the evenings during the week, after 7:00 pm. About: I had my own dogs for 18 years. I’ve taken care of cats, birds, hermit crabs, hamsters, piggies, and fishes too. I enjoy playtime and walking dogs. I’m quiet and peaceful. I think they get it. I’m currently working part-time and in the middle of writing my first book, adding your pet/s to my schedule will be the best excitement each day. As a military veteran, I understand the importance of following instructions. You tell me how you care for your animals and I will provide the same loving care they are accustomed to daily! Plus a little extra snuggles and pets!

About: I’ve been caring for cats and dogs for over 3 years and truly love spending time with animals of all kinds! I started my experience working at a pet resort, where I spent 2 years caring for boarding pets. My responsibilities included feeding, walking, administering medications when needed, cleaning, and making sure every pet felt safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners were away. After that, I worked at an animal hospital, where I gained hands-on experience assisting with treatments and caring for pets in a medical setting. This helped me become comfortable recognizing changes in behavior, following detailed care instructions, and working with pets who may be nervous, elderly, or have special needs. I have plenty of time to play with your animal! I usually travel weekends, but will stay depending on the weekend! Happy to stay with your animal I've worked with many dogs with many different conditions! I've done medicine for dogs, as well as cared for all their different needs
“Loved having Luz taking care of my kitties! They felt comfortable enough to come out a lot more quickly than with other sitters. She's reliable and follows instructions for the kitties. Would definitely recommend😊”

About: There’s never been a time I’ve lived without at least one dog in my home (even in college)! I love dogs and have cared for many ages, sizes, breeds, and even special needs. I currently have a dog who requires daily medication and previously had a diabetic dog who I had to give two insulin injections to daily. I also have experience in changing both male and female dog diapers! I am a teacher, so I’m available all day during summer! Otherwise I’m only available on the weekends or evenings during the week. I have experience walking large dogs as well as crating. I am familiar with using a variety of vibrating/shock collars if you use those devices.
“David and his family went above and beyond to care for our golden while we were away. It was our first time leaving Hank alone at our house for the weekend so we were filled with nerves. That was until we received the first pictures and rover card for their first visit. It was evident that they made Hank feel comfortable and even excited when they arrived! They popped in for 4 hour-long visits each day, doing two long walks and making sure he was fed, put to sleep, and played with each time. It was wonderful seeing multiple members of the family there with him. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lorton
I booked rather last minute and thrilled that Mateo was able to accommodate m and my little beasties. He was incredibly communicative and checked in regularly. I felt so good knowing the beasties were in good hands. Will definitely try to work with him again!

Daniella did great with checking in on our dogs! They seemed to enjoy their walks with her and didn't have any issues. She left good notes about her visits and was easy to communicate with. We needed additional care for the week and she was willing and able to continue helping out, which was greatly appreciated! I would highly recommend Daniella and rebook her.

Our dog Juno immediately took to Adelina and it was such a relief for us to have an experienced provider assist with our dog’s medication injections. She administered the injections with obvious skill - Juno didn’t even flinch! Adelina was very communicative and we would work with her again without hesitation!

Marcela took excellent care of our dog while we were away. In the time between booking her services and starting, our dog suffered a minor injury that required medication twice per day. Marcela was able to administer the medicine and keep a close eye on her during the drop-ins. We look forward to working with her again!

Excellent service, everyday day providing updates with pictures. Actually, we owe her an apology, because we responded to her messages late—or didn't respond at all, so we’re sorry about that 😅 thank you again for everything, taking your time to be with our doggie and playing with her too.

Anthony was truly a lifesaver for our family. During a time when we really needed support, he went above and beyond in every way. His compassion and patience stood out immediately, especially in the way he took the time to build trust with our dogs who needed a little extra confidence boost. It wasn’t just a job to him! His communication is always clear and consistent, and the regular updates gives us so much peace of mind. Most importantly, he treated our puppers like they were his own, showing them love and attention. We’re incredibly grateful for Anthony and would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a dedicated and trustworthy caretaker for their furbabies.

Nicole was so great with Lucy and my cat Gia! She was great with communication and i’m so thankful she was so flexible when I needed a last minute rover to check in. She took care of everything I needed and provided me a lot of relief when I had to leave Lucy at home for so long.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment.
