Growing up my family had a Dachshund — my first lesson in just how much personality a small dog can pack — and later a German Shepherd, who taught me that larger dogs need confidence, consistency, and genuine respect. I also spent years walking a neighbor's Irish Setter, which gave me an early appreciation for athletic, high-energy breeds that need real exercise and engagement, not just a quick lap around the block. Most recently I had a rescue dog I adopted when he was older and already managing some minor health issues. He later developed a heart condition that required daily medication — which I administered myself throughout his illness. About: I have been with rover for a couple months now and have sitted many different types of dogs. I have also taken care of four at once. I grew up with 2 dogs so I know how to play, feed, take out the dog when needed very well! I’ve been around dogs my whole life, many family members of mine and my friends own dogs I take care of often. Unfortunately I do not have my 2 dogs anymore. They lived very long and healthy lives but now I would love to take care of your pets to ensure they’re safe and happy too. I still have school going on but before I go to school I take the dogs out and feed them. I’m back around 3:30pm and take them out again and feed them later when my client wants me too. The weekends i’m completely free. This schedule worked great when I had my dogs. I took out and helped my dad feed my own dogs every day for over 5-6 years. I’m familiar with how dogs communicate their needs and I’m very attentive with them. I have a fenced in backyard and extra leashes, bags, bowls, dog food, treats and dog beds just in case! I feed the dogs depending on the time my clients give me and take them out on walks at least twice a day if the dog can handle it. Throughout the day I do take the dogs to the backyard especially if it’s very hot, like during the summer, the walks are shorter and take them to the back more.

About: I have owned dogs my entire life and am lucky to still be caring for my childhood dog (17 years old!). Because of this experience, I know some dogs require a routine schedule to make sure they continue to be happy and healthy. Every dog has a one of a kind personality and I love getting to know each dogs quirks and little joys! I will be working close to a 9-5 schedule around 4 days a week. I will be able to give potty breaks or walks before and/or after my work during the work week but I am much more flexible Friday-Sunday. I live in an apartment so I unfortunately cannot offer dog sitting at my place at this time. Because I live in an apartment, I make sure to give my dog morning and evening walks and can make sure your dog gets the same treatment!
