About: I am a highly organized and reliable pet sitter with a passion for all types of furry friends. I am adept at providing individualized care for each dog that stays with us and my whole family loves animals. I work my 9-5 in my large house (and fenced-in yard!) so I'm always home and I have two teenaged sons and a husband who also works at home. Looking forward to meeting your fur baby! I work full time from my home so I am always here at the house. My husband works from home so he's always here too! I have a large house and a fenced yard, as well as a 70lb dog who loves company. We treat our furry guests like family. They'll have a blast here!
“David was great with our pup. I was definitely nervous leaving our pup with someone since moving back to the area. David eased that anxiety and took great care of our pup. Thanks so much, David!”

About: I’ve taken care of family and friends dogs since I was 17! Since I was eight, I have had a dog in my family. Each dog is unique and different and I enjoy getting to know them. I love taking dogs on long walks, playing with them, and cuddling! My weekends are always free! I do work full-time but I have a flexible schedule since I can work from home. During the weekday, early mornings and evenings are typically free for all your pet care needs. I love house sitting versus boarding because I care about your pets experience! My dogs don’t like being boarded because it’s a strange and new place to them. So with that in mind, house sitting is my go to so that your dog feel safe and comfortable even with a stranger. I’ll make sure to always give them their space when needed but will also provide cuddles.
“First time having Lauren walk Frida. Everything went well. I received pictures from their walk. Frida enjoyed her walk. Frida and mom would definitely like to have Lauren walk her again.”

About: I have walked, stayed overnight with, given medicine to, and played with animals of all shapes and sizes. I am studying to become a vet so I am an all around animal person! I work from coffee shops a lot so I have a flexible enough schedule to regularly let pets out, feed them, or perform other caretaking tasks throughout the day. I am very adaptable and enjoy taking care of pets in their homes. I like to maintain their regular schedules and be present with them as much as possible during my stay.
“Michelle was fantastic! She took great care of Bailey and provided some extra love and attention. When Bailey was feeling bad, she went the extra mile to make sure I knew how my baby was doing. Thank you, Michelle!!!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life, taking on a dog walking and pet care job in my school neighborhood, caring for over 10 clients with dog sizes ranging from small to large and ages ranging from 2-17. I am currently on break, which means I’m free any day and for however long necessary. Cancellation or hiring me day of does not need any fee I care for pets by making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well-supervised. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, keep their environment clean, provide fresh water and food, and make sure they get the exercise, attention, and bathroom breaks they need. I have experience with rowdier dogs and have no problem walking them!
“Our dog normally is apprehensive around new people, and it usually takes him a while to warm up and feel comfortable. This just wasn't the case with Gabi, he took to her immediately! Gabi seems to have a genuine understanding and affection for animals, which seems to have made all of the difference for our dog. Words can't do justice to how grateful we are to have someone we trust help care for our boy!”

“Ann (Yeni) has been wonderful to our dog (and also to us). She's very nice, friendly, gentle, caring and definitely knows how to handle dogs. We are so glad that she's helping us.”

About: I love animals and understand how hard it can be to find someone you trust with your own. I have 40 years of experience owning and nurturing dogs, and cats. I would love the chance to help care for your 4 legged children when needed. Currently I work weekends at a brewery, so I am available to walk your dog while you work M-F. Please feel free to contact me with any questions 🙂 I have 4 cats, a bunny and a 55 gallon fish tank currently. I love walking and caring for dogs but all animals are available for care with my services.
“First time using Rover! Chris is a fantastic dog walker. I just loved how I was informed when he was done, the photos he sent and I got to see where they walked! Highly recommend Chris for a seamless, polite and friendly dog walker - Thank you!”

About: I have done both house sitting and dog walking for many years now. My mother did Rover for a few years and she showed me how to be responsible with other people's animals. She has even refered some of her customers to me. I am very flexible and will take the greatest care of whatever animal you have. I have a dog and two cats at home and have walked and dog sat before so I am very experienced for whatever needs you may have for your animals. Whatever you need from me while I am responsible for your animals I will make sure to do and do it with care and respect. I hope you choose me for the pet care services I provide. I will do my best to make you feel at ease while away from your animals.
About: I am a champion for every animal in my life. I am a proud mama and grandmama for my 2 cats and their kittens. I also have experience taking care of other types of pets, including elderly dogs that required more care and attention. Working in the social media and music world, I have the flexibility to change my daily and weekly schedule as needed for myself and clients. I built trust with my clients by being myself, honest, and kind. This allowed me to care for their pets in their homes, and also overnight as needed.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Burke
David R. Was absolutely terrific! This was his first time walking Lulu, and she was so comfortable with him from the beginning! He has a natural affinity for dogs…..it’s so apparent that he loves his profession. Lulu and myself are looking forward to many more walks with David R! I cannot thank him enough for his patience and care for my sweet girl.
Bridget did a great job helping take care of our dog Thor when he needed to be taken out a couple times during the day since he’s a lot for me to handle alone! Our other dog Loki also loved having her come over to give him some extra love! We would definitely use her services again!
Ella helped take care of my anxious Australian shepherd while we were away for the weekend. When she came for a meet and greet,y dog warmed up to her almost immediately! She was incredibly reliable, arriving on time to each walk and took such good care of our pup while we were away. I would definitely recommend her and would book her again :)

Once again Ashlyn was incredible to work with. Prompt, super friendly, supportive, and my dog Gingerbread adored her. I just had a knee surgery two weeks ago, and she was completely happy to help me with a task or two that I just can't do right now. Highly highly recommend!!!

Tonya is incredible! My dog loves her so much. When I mention her name, my dog’s head tilts and his ears are raised. She is very consistent, reliable and flexible. She communicates in a timely manner. Her daily comments about her walks with my dog are informative and humorous, at times.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
