“Dana is amazing with my two dogs who can be a handful to walk together. I also have an incredibly selective dog who warmed up to Dana right away, which is a bigger relief than I can express in words.”

“David was great with our pup. I was definitely nervous leaving our pup with someone since moving back to the area. David eased that anxiety and took great care of our pup. Thanks so much, David!”

“Thanks for helping us out with walking Riley and Archie this week! Really appreciated the time you spent with Riley too to get her comfortable with you. Will be sure to reach out in the future!”

“First time having Lauren walk Frida. Everything went well. I received pictures from their walk. Frida enjoyed her walk. Frida and mom would definitely like to have Lauren walk her again.”

“Let me tell you about Cleo’s best friend Monique!!!! I went on a last minute trip and had to leave Cleo behind for the first time. I was SO anxious and felt super guilty about leaving her alone. Monique was very diligent about showing up, sending reports, and following my tedious instructions about leaving the TV on/moving our coffee table for our roomba lol. I felt like she actually wanted to be there and love on Cleo. Cleo loves tug of war and Monique would play with her literally every time she visited and made sure she got her treat’o’s. I’m glad I don’t have to go through the trial and error process of finding our go to dog sitter for Cleo! I’ll be contacting her very soon for their next play date.”

“Michelle was fantastic! She took great care of Bailey and provided some extra love and attention. When Bailey was feeling bad, she went the extra mile to make sure I knew how my baby was doing. Thank you, Michelle!!!”

About: I've taken care of pets all of my life, being born into a dog and cats household. My passion for pets has led me to working in places that are centered around animals, and my professional experience has given me a great foundation in pet health, nutrition, training and behavior. Animals are my calling in life, and hanging out with them for a living is not a job for me but a dream! P.S. Prices negotiable, open to discuss and find solutions! I am a college student with an wide availability schedule. While I have a party time job and some classes, I am always open to working together and figuring out a schedule that works. I do prefer evenings/weekends, but I am flexible most of the time. I will follow all pet parent instructions clearly and explicitly, no matter how much effort it might take. I care about animals deeply and will sacrifice my own time to deliver proper care. With my wide expertise in pet care, I am also open to working with special needs pets. Happy to answer any questions and concerns you may have.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life, taking on a dog walking and pet care job in my school neighborhood, caring for over 10 clients with dog sizes ranging from small to large and ages ranging from 2-17. I am currently on break, which means I’m free any day and for however long necessary. Cancellation or hiring me day of does not need any fee I care for pets by making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well-supervised. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, keep their environment clean, provide fresh water and food, and make sure they get the exercise, attention, and bathroom breaks they need. I have experience with rowdier dogs and have no problem walking them!

“Sofia is the best! Our pup loves her! She is flexible with scheduling and is super friendly! 10000/10 care provided for Knox! We have already rebooked with her and cannot recommend her enough!! 🙃🐾 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

About: I grew up with both cats and dogs, taking care of both and learning about different temperaments and how to love them the best. I'm more of a cat girl, but I love dogs and I love the playful ones!. I also have a year of experience working at an animal shelter. Walking dogs, feeding and watering them, taking them out to go potty, picking up after them, playing with them outside as well as in their rooms, making and giving them frozen treats. I also worked with the shelter's cats, feeding and watering them, cleaning their litter boxes, bathing them, playing with them, giving treats. I also gave both dogs and cats various medications, whether that be hiding pills in food or applying gels and creams. I am currently self-employed as a nail artist, so I have all the time in the world to devote to your fur babies! I don't have any specific days I need off, I have full availability! Since I have experience in an animal shelter, I can safely walk your dogs and take them out in your yard to play or go potty! I like to say I'm pretty good at being able to gain a pet's trust, treats go a long way in making friends😅😅

“Brianna is a great dog walker!! She is very quick to respond to messages and took the lead organizating the meet and greet. She was available on pretty short notice, which was such a relief. Brianna was immediately comfortable with my 150lb dog, which means she is comfortable with any dog! She is a great dog walker and I will be using her regularly!”

About: In addition to being an approved foster home for Homeward Trails Animal Rescue, I've cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, and one very cute hamster throughout my 48 years. After both of my senior rescue pups passed away from old age during Covid, I've really missed having a furry companion running around. I'm not quite ready to have my own pet full-time again but enjoy caring for others' furry friends between foster pups. Open to full day, evenings, or weekends. Seniors have a special place in my heart and are always welcome. I am very experienced with those that have special needs or medicines. I do ask that all pets are kid friendly as I have a 10 year old "trainer" that comes with me and really enjoys reading to the pups at bedtime. Though my son will keep his distance from dogs that are skittish, we want a safe and calm place for both the pet and child to stay when they're in our home. For stays in our home, especially those last minute needs, we have beds, crates, bowls, toys, and even various types of emergency food just in case. We're who you need in a pinch or if your flight is delayed on the way home. Boarding in our home always comes with multiple walks a day and often a fun adventure and patio time! Working from home makes flexible pick up and drop off scheduling a breeze for pups staying with me! I look forward to making your pet part of our family while you're away. Be sure to let me know if they'd enjoy the park and long walks or prefer a more laid back stay with extra cuddles or space to decompress and we'll adjust. We sit for many families in our neighborhood and several prior dogs have walked with us to and from school (Hi Georgie!)... while others have napped most of the day away. (Hi Duke, Lana, and Mimi, I'm looking at you!) Need me to pick up to make it easier to head out of town? Or deliver once you're home? I gotcha! I have a small fenced in yard and lots of open green space out back to keep your pup busy! Does your pet prefer a walk around the neighborhood? We'll show them around around and where the best town "gossip" is located. Our "fur-iends" who visit love to check their "pee-mails" and we know all the great spots. Have a well behaved pooch? Your pet will always have free range of my home, if they're most comfortable contained near their humans I can close off doors and block off stairs! We even have extra floor coverings for those a little older that appreciate extra traction when walking. Does the pup like crates better at night, just let me know and I'll follow your routine! We have a couple med/lg sized ones here I keep on hand, in case they're needed. I usually keep the doors off so they can use it as a safe place whenever they'd like unless mom or dad prefers otherwise! Safety is incredibly important to us so all animals will stay leashed outside and I have a 2 pet limit set on Rover so things stay calm and we have plenty of scratchies & snuggle time with the dogs who like to hang out with humans. Have a senior pup who wants to hide somewhere quiet? There's plenty of great hiding spots and we'll tote a bed over to their new favorite spot to keep them comfy.
“Cristina has been really great with our dog Casey! She’s punctual and always takes pictures for us to see. Cristina takes Casey on walks all over our neighborhood and makes sure she gets exercise and let’s Casey sniff.”

“Melissa was so patience, gentle and kind to my American Bulldog while I was away at the beach for the week. She took things slowly with him, understanding that he's not trusting of all humans. In turn, Otis warmed up to her very quickly, which made my vacation so much more relaxing! She made sure he had everything he needed, and gave him lots of praise and love. I cannot recommend her highly enough!!”

About: I have done both house sitting and dog walking for many years now. My mother did Rover for a few years and she showed me how to be responsible with other people's animals. She has even refered some of her customers to me. I am very flexible and will take the greatest care of whatever animal you have. I have a dog and two cats at home and have walked and dog sat before so I am very experienced for whatever needs you may have for your animals. Whatever you need from me while I am responsible for your animals I will make sure to do and do it with care and respect. I hope you choose me for the pet care services I provide. I will do my best to make you feel at ease while away from your animals.
“Hieu and Anna are great! Both my small chihuahua mixes warmed up to them quickly. Usually my younger one doesn't even let people touch her until the 3rd meeting. But she was asking for belly rubs on the first walk! They sent plenty of pictures and updated me on how they did on their walk. I will definitely book them for future dog walks.”

About: I am a champion for every animal in my life. I am a proud mama and grandmama for my 2 cats and their kittens. I also have experience taking care of other types of pets, including elderly dogs that required more care and attention. Working in the social media and music world, I have the flexibility to change my daily and weekly schedule as needed for myself and clients. I built trust with my clients by being myself, honest, and kind. This allowed me to care for their pets in their homes, and also overnight as needed.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - West Springfield
Mike is an extremely professional pet sitter. I have booked him more than once and I will continue to do so. He has stayed at my dwelling and I trust he will take care of my dog very well. Mike sends regular updates with pictures that keep me up to date with my senior dog.
Steve is the best. Our slightly special needs rescue needs a gentle but confident hand, and Steve is great with him. He makes sure our old boy gets his medication and food (which he can be quite uncooperative about) and he always takes him on the best walks. We’ve used Steve for boarding and drop-in visits/walks in our home. We know we can trust that he’ll take care of Riley just like we would (or maybe even better!) He’s reliable, communicative, and always sends great pictures, so you’ll always know how well things are going with your furbaby while you’re away!

I almost don’t want to leave a review because I want Tara all to ourselves! It’s very difficult to find a quality/trust worthy dog walker these days, but Tara is surely both! She is extremely detail oriented and follows instructions to a T. She sends TONS of pics and videos with a detailed report card about the visit. It’s clear my pups adore her. They usually take a little while to warm up to strangers but it was love at first site with Tara! She also left the most thoughtful card and puppy cookies. Excited to use her for more walks/visits in the future!

I booked Julia for reoccurring walks with my dog, a senior husky. She was very patient with my pup and made sure she was well taken care. Julia listened to all my notes and concerns with my dog and made me feel comfortable with entrusting her to take care of her. I definitely recommend Julia to look after your dog too!

Lauren was absolutely wonderful! She was punctual, very kind, and extremely attentive to all the specific instructions I gave her. My dog is usually very shy around strangers, but he loved her immediately and went on the walk with her without any hesitation. I couldn't be happier with her service, and I highly recommend her!.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
