About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life, taking on a dog walking and pet care job in my school neighborhood, caring for over 10 clients with dog sizes ranging from small to large and ages ranging from 2-17. I am currently on break, which means I’m free any day and for however long necessary. Cancellation or hiring me day of does not need any fee I care for pets by making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well-supervised. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, keep their environment clean, provide fresh water and food, and make sure they get the exercise, attention, and bathroom breaks they need. I have experience with rowdier dogs and have no problem walking them!

“Sonia is so patient and loving with our anxious pup! She went out of her way to make our dog Jane feel more comfortable with her during her first walk, and has since become a safe person in Jane’s eyes! Sonia is a great communicator and always goes above and beyond. We are very grateful!”

“Thanks for walking Riley and Archie, Davis! They had a great time and I was so glad I could find someone to help out with them on short notice. We will definitely reach out again 😊”

“David was great with our pup. I was definitely nervous leaving our pup with someone since moving back to the area. David eased that anxiety and took great care of our pup. Thanks so much, David!”

“Dana is amazing with my two dogs who can be a handful to walk together. I also have an incredibly selective dog who warmed up to Dana right away, which is a bigger relief than I can express in words.”

“Brianna is a great dog walker!! She is very quick to respond to messages and took the lead organizating the meet and greet. She was available on pretty short notice, which was such a relief. Brianna was immediately comfortable with my 150lb dog, which means she is comfortable with any dog! She is a great dog walker and I will be using her regularly!”

“Sofia is the best! Our pup loves her! She is flexible with scheduling and is super friendly! 10000/10 care provided for Knox! We have already rebooked with her and cannot recommend her enough!! 🙃🐾 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Let me tell you about Cleo’s best friend Monique!!!! I went on a last minute trip and had to leave Cleo behind for the first time. I was SO anxious and felt super guilty about leaving her alone. Monique was very diligent about showing up, sending reports, and following my tedious instructions about leaving the TV on/moving our coffee table for our roomba lol. I felt like she actually wanted to be there and love on Cleo. Cleo loves tug of war and Monique would play with her literally every time she visited and made sure she got her treat’o’s. I’m glad I don’t have to go through the trial and error process of finding our go to dog sitter for Cleo! I’ll be contacting her very soon for their next play date.”

About: I have been an animal lover my whole life, and I have always had cats and dogs in my home. I started pet-sitting for my neighbors in middle-school, and have regularly watched pets for friends as an adult. I currently have two cats and 1 dog. I have had many pets for their entire life-cycle from baby to old age, and I am familiar with the needs and complexities that each stage of life brings. I am currently a stay-at-home mom so I have significant flexibility to my schedule since I do not have outside employment, and I can typically be available as needed. I have a very small fenced in yard for quick potty breaks, but significant green space around my house for dogs to enjoy regular long-walks and playtime.
About: Hi! My name is Sarah. I grew up taking care of our family dog, rabbit, guinea pigs and fish. I feel comfortable and confident walking/caring for all different sizes and ages of dogs due to previously working for a dog walking/pet sitting company in the NOVA area during 2016-2017. During that year, I was also was responsible for overnight stays, and day time cat visits. My primary experience with pet care since that time has been taking care of my own dog (his name is Rudy, he is a toy poodle who has been the best friend we could dream of for almost 10 years and counting). I am in the medical field and am currently in between jobs, which allows my schedule to be flexible. I am available every weekday (and most weekends). For house sitting, I will keep to your desired schedule as my Rover schedule allows (as I will likely need to leave a few times during the day for other pet visits). I am comfortable staying overnight in your home. For dog walking, your dog’s safety is my top priority. I will avoid other dogs and if walking 2 dogs at the same time, I use a waist leash. I prefer to use a harness and non-retractable leashes (when available). Before or after their walk, we can also play fetch/play with toys inside or outside (if you have a fenced in yard). For cat visits, I am happy to clean their litter boxes, feed them, and play with them inside your home (only if they are interested, of course!) For either dogs or cats, I am able to administer oral or injectable medication if needed.

About: I grew up around pets and have always loved caring for animals. While living with my grandmother, I was primarily responsible for caring for her dog due to her medical conditions. I also have experience helping family members care for their pets. I am compassionate, dependable, and passionate about providing loving and attentive care to every pet I look after. I currently work only once a month at my part-time job, which gives me a flexible schedule and ample availability during the day to provide attentive and reliable care for your pet. I grew up in a home with pets and have always had animals as part of my life. While I do not currently own any pets, caring for them has always been something I genuinely enjoy. My lifelong experience with pets has taught me the importance of patience, compassion, and attentive care. I am a caring and dependable individual with a true passion for animals, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I look forward to providing a safe, loving, and comfortable environment while caring for your pet.
“Lauren was absolutely wonderful! She was punctual, very kind, and extremely attentive to all the specific instructions I gave her. My dog is usually very shy around strangers, but he loved her immediately and went on the walk with her without any hesitation. I couldn't be happier with her service, and I highly recommend her!.”

About: I’ve care for family dogs my entire life, giving me experience with different personalities, sizes, energy levels, and routines. I myself had a pitbull mastiff and am comfortable caring for all dogs of all sizes. I’m comfortable providing walks, feeding, playtime, companionship, and plenty of affection while following each owner’s instructions carefully. My experience caring for senior cats with changing health needs has also made me patient, observant, and attentive to subtle changes in an animal’s behavior or comfort. Whether your dog is playful and energetic or prefers a slower, calmer routine, I’ll provide dependable care and treat them like family. I’m currently in between jobs so I’m available to take care of your pets within a day’s notice. If you need to cancel, please provide notice 3 days prior. I do not offer services regarding keeping animals at my home, as we have too many that aren’t socialized. I have no problem with crate trained animals and will follow whatever specific instructions you leave regarding your animals’ care and needs.
“I think the Aunties have been my best Rover experience so far! They are very reliable and communicative, always sending lots of pictures and personalized notes. One of my dogs is very shy and she warmed right up to Hieu and Anna! I highly recommend them for dog walking or pet sitting.”

About: I am a champion for every animal in my life. I am a proud mama and grandmama for my 2 cats and their kittens. I also have experience taking care of other types of pets, including elderly dogs that required more care and attention. Working in the social media and music world, I have the flexibility to change my daily and weekly schedule as needed for myself and clients. I built trust with my clients by being myself, honest, and kind. This allowed me to care for their pets in their homes, and also overnight as needed.

About: What sets me aside from other sitters is that I have first hand experience with many types of dogs and cats. I’ve worked at a couple of daycares and I have my own animals that I care for deeply. I understand how a pet can be your child and I promise to care for them as I would my own. I’m very responsible, reliable, and I am very fast with responses. Please consider me when you want your pet properly cared for🫶 I currently stay at home for work and I am an artist! I care for my cats daily and can take on the extra responsibility of your animals too! I care for my own pets in many ways, I accommodate their needs and I also try to give them the best care possible! Accidents happen but I always keep the place clean!

About: I’m gentle, caring, and dependable. I love animals, follow instructions carefully, and am eager to gain hands-on pet care experience while earning money during summer break from college. I’m currently a student in college and am on my summer break until late August! This leaves me with plenty of time to look after pups and pick up shifts, so I have a very flexible schedule. I currently don’t own any pets but am open to welcoming them for brief stays if needed! I am also very good at following directions, so I would be happy to care for pets as needed in their own space.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - West Springfield
Mike is an extremely professional pet sitter. I have booked him more than once and I will continue to do so. He has stayed at my dwelling and I trust he will take care of my dog very well. Mike sends regular updates with pictures that keep me up to date with my senior dog.
Steve is the best. Our slightly special needs rescue needs a gentle but confident hand, and Steve is great with him. He makes sure our old boy gets his medication and food (which he can be quite uncooperative about) and he always takes him on the best walks. We’ve used Steve for boarding and drop-in visits/walks in our home. We know we can trust that he’ll take care of Riley just like we would (or maybe even better!) He’s reliable, communicative, and always sends great pictures, so you’ll always know how well things are going with your furbaby while you’re away!

I almost don’t want to leave a review because I want Tara all to ourselves! It’s very difficult to find a quality/trust worthy dog walker these days, but Tara is surely both! She is extremely detail oriented and follows instructions to a T. She sends TONS of pics and videos with a detailed report card about the visit. It’s clear my pups adore her. They usually take a little while to warm up to strangers but it was love at first site with Tara! She also left the most thoughtful card and puppy cookies. Excited to use her for more walks/visits in the future!

I booked Julia for reoccurring walks with my dog, a senior husky. She was very patient with my pup and made sure she was well taken care. Julia listened to all my notes and concerns with my dog and made me feel comfortable with entrusting her to take care of her. I definitely recommend Julia to look after your dog too!

Lauren was absolutely wonderful! She was punctual, very kind, and extremely attentive to all the specific instructions I gave her. My dog is usually very shy around strangers, but he loved her immediately and went on the walk with her without any hesitation. I couldn't be happier with her service, and I highly recommend her!.

We’ve had a wonderful experience having Anna as our dog walker. She has been consistently dependable, always showing up as scheduled and giving us peace of mind that our pup is getting his regular walks while were at work. . She’s kind, considerate, and clearly cares about our dog’s well-being. We especially appreciate her communication — she keeps us updated on how each walk goes and lets us know if anything seems off or different. It’s reassuring to know our dog is in attentive, responsible hands. We’re very grateful for her help and the reliability she’s provided.

Frank is incredibly warm, patient, and friendly! He is reliable and very punctual, and it's a joy to work with him. From the moment he met our dog I could tell that he is a caring young man who really loves animals. Our dog looks forward to her walks with him every day. He meticulously sends updates and photos from each walk. We are so happy to have found him and highly recommend his services to anyone considering him!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
