“Brianna is a great dog walker!! She is very quick to respond to messages and took the lead organizating the meet and greet. She was available on pretty short notice, which was such a relief. Brianna was immediately comfortable with my 150lb dog, which means she is comfortable with any dog! She is a great dog walker and I will be using her regularly!”

““Reliable, caring, and punctual!” Kimara has been walking Coco weekly and has been absolutely wonderful. She’s always on time, gives updates promptly, and genuinely cares for Coco. I can trust her completely and appreciate her consistency and professionalism. Highly recommended!”

About: What sets me apart is my calm and patient nature, which helps pets feel safe and comfortable—especially shy or moody cats. I have hands-on experience training puppies and big dogs, focusing on positive reinforcement and consistency to build good habits. I’m also skilled in senior pet care, understanding the extra attention and gentleness older pets need. Plus, my flexible schedule and ability to quickly get around the city means I’m reliable for last-minute requests and varied needs. Because I create my own schedule, pet care fits seamlessly into my daily and weekly routine. This flexibility lets me be available whenever your pets need attention—whether it’s morning walks, evening playtime, or weekend visits. It also means I can take last-minute requests without disrupting my day, so your pets get consistent, reliable care that works around your life and mine. I take pet safety and cleanliness very seriously, whether your pet is in my home or yours. My living space is in a gated community with two nearby dog parks, so your dog can enjoy safe, off-leash playtime in a secure environment. My apartment features a covered balcony with no gaps, perfect for supervised outdoor time without any risk. Inside, I keep things comfortable and cozy with soft carpet, cushioned padding, and plenty of pillows and toys—especially for those who need extra support. Cleanliness is a top priority—I use a steam vacuum regularly, so messes are never a big worry and the space stays fresh and sanitary. You can trust that your pet will be cared for in a safe, comfortable, and clean environment.
“Our first experience with Rover was with Tara and she was superb. Our two pups are well behaved when one-on-one on walks but tough to handle (especially our one year old Aussie Shepherd mix) when together. Tara managed quite well. She won over our pups and earned their trust. She took great care with them and regularly communicated the outcome of each walk. We highly recommend her. Thanks!”

“Caryl is so sweet and great to work with. She takes cute pictures of our dog and lets us know how each walk went. She’s quick to respond and is professional. We definitely recommend working with her.”

“Alejandra was incredibly responsive and really helped us out in a pinch, doing more than was originally asked of her. Grateful to have found her and will continue to use her services!”

About: Hello! I'm a devoted dog lover who treats every pup like they're my own. There's nothing I enjoy more than showering dogs with affection and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I know how important your furry family member is to you, so I'm committed to following your routines and instructions to a tee. Whether your dog thrives on structure or just needs some extra cuddles, I'll make sure they feel completely comfortable and at ease with me. And because I know you'll miss them, I'm happy to send plenty of photos and updates throughout the day so you can see just how much fun they're having! As someone who loves the outdoors and exercise, I'm always ready for long walks or backyard playtime. I genuinely believe every dog deserves daily exercise and enrichment, and I have the energy and enthusiasm to keep up with even the most playful pups. I can't wait to meet your four-legged friend and give them all the care and attention they deserve! I work a flexible hybrid schedule, which makes me ideal for pet parents needing drop-in walks, home visits, or house sitting. I know that boarding facilities aren't right for every pet, so I'm happy to care for yours in the comfort of their own home. With experience handling reactive and special-needs pets, I understand when staying in a familiar environment is the best choice. While you're away, I'll keep your pet's routine consistent and ensure they feel safe and comfortable. I keep my calendar updated to reflect my in-office days. I'm typically available on weekends and weekday daytime hours. If you're facing a long workday, a busy weekend, or are concerned about leaving your pet alone for extended periods, I'm happy to help with check-ins and care as needed. I work from home most of the time, which means I have wonderful flexibility to spend quality time with your pup! I'm especially available for late morning and midday visits, so your dog will never have to wait too long between potty breaks, meals, or playtime. I am usually in the office on Wednesdays but I aim to keep my calendar as updated as possible. Safety is always my top priority. I'm naturally cautious and attentive, always thinking ahead to prevent any potential issues before they happen. I've received training in dog body language, so I can usually quickly pick up on when a pup needs space, comfort, or extra playtime. My own reactive, special needs dog has been an incredible teacher. I've learned to be especially mindful during walks and around other people or dogs. I also know that dogs pick up on our energy, so I aim to stay calm and composed in every situation to help your pup feel secure and relaxed.
About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life and absolutely love caring for them! I have personal experience owning both dogs and cats, and I’ve also provided in-home pet care for both drop-ins and overnight stays. I have a car, so I’m happy to take a trip to the dog park or explore new areas for a walk! Whether it’s checking in, going for walks, or just giving some extra love and attention, I treat every pet like they’re my own. Animals bring me so much joy, and I’m committed to making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I work from home and have flexibility to go for short walks during the day. I can also stay overnight during weekdays and potentially weekends as I can work from anywhere. In the morning and evenings I can take longer walks. I am committed to making sure you are stress-free when it comes to pet care, so I will update you with photos, videos, and messages every time I take care of your furry friend! I’m happy to send as many updates as will make you comfortable!
“Joanna is the definition of going above and beyond. She’s been working on my dog’s recall, takes her on lovely long walks, and I’ve saved so many of the pictures she takes. She goes so far as to refill my treat jar at my house when she sees that it’s empty and makes sure my girl has water and a treat before she leaves. I work long hours and travel a lot. I have no idea how I’d manage without her!”
“Leah has been an absolutely amazing dog walker for our pup!! I was so impressed with her professionalism from the start and she has been so consistent and thorough in providing the best care for our dog. She is a great communicator and you can tell she really cares about taking care of animals. She has put my mind at ease on a daily basis knowing my pup is receiving the best treatment and attention. I could not recommend Leah enough!”

“Tiana is amazing!!! We booked her over our vacation and she got there everyday on time and took lots of pics of Archie. So sweet and kind! Will definitely book her again soon!! Your pet is in safe hands with her”

About: Hi! My name is Sarah. I grew up taking care of our family dog, rabbit, guinea pigs and fish. I feel comfortable and confident walking/caring for all different sizes and ages of dogs due to previously working for a dog walking/pet sitting company in the NOVA area during 2016-2017. During that year, I was also was responsible for overnight stays, and day time cat visits. My primary experience with pet care since that time has been taking care of my own dog (his name is Rudy, he is a toy poodle who has been the best friend we could dream of for almost 10 years and counting). I am in the medical field and am currently in between jobs, which allows my schedule to be flexible. I am available every weekday (and most weekends). For house sitting, I will keep to your desired schedule as my Rover schedule allows (as I will likely need to leave a few times during the day for other pet visits). I am comfortable staying overnight in your home. For dog walking, your dog’s safety is my top priority. I will avoid other dogs and if walking 2 dogs at the same time, I use a waist leash. I prefer to use a harness and non-retractable leashes (when available). Before or after their walk, we can also play fetch/play with toys inside or outside (if you have a fenced in yard). For cat visits, I am happy to clean their litter boxes, feed them, and play with them inside your home (only if they are interested, of course!) For either dogs or cats, I am able to administer oral or injectable medication if needed.
“David was great with our pup. I was definitely nervous leaving our pup with someone since moving back to the area. David eased that anxiety and took great care of our pup. Thanks so much, David!”

About: I have nearly 2 years of experience as a kennel assistant at a Hayfield Animal Hospital caring for dogs, cats, and exotics of all sizes and personalities. I also was a part of the Edison Academy veterinary science class where we provided grooming services to clients. I’ve taken care of my own dog for 8 years and have pet sat for family and friends. I’m reliable, patient, and focused on making every pet feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I also helped train my dog as a puppy and have experience administering medications to pets at my work and will be getting experience as a veterinary assistant this summer. I currently work part-time as a kennel assistant, so caring for animals is already a big part of my daily life! I’m available most weekdays and weekends, and I’m happy to make time to stop by and care for your pet. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping your pet company, I’ll make sure they feel safe and cared for while you’re away. I care for every pet as if they were my own by making sure they feel comfortable and loved while their owner is away. As a pre-vet student at Virginia Tech, my passion for animals runs deep. Just as I do with my own dog, in a client’s home, I follow their pet’s normal routine for feeding, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and plenty of attention and companionship. I also make sure pets have a clean, stress-free environment and would love to keep owners updated with messages and photos!
About: Hello & welcome! Growing up, I had all sorts of animals: dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, rodents, reptiles, you name it! I have a very active dog, Rio - he’s a sweetheart & loves making new friends. I can assure you that during your pets stay, they will be cared for as my own. They are able to free roam in the house, have access to a full backyard, taken on walks, rides to the park, and all the cuddles. Hope you like updates, because I send a ton of pictures. I know what it’s like being away from your pet, so the more pictures the better! 🖤 I have experience administering medication if needed, and able to assist senior dogs. I look forward to meeting you & your furry friend. I’m happy to answer any questions and/or meet before the stay. Get $20 off your first stay on Rover! https://www.rover.com/sit/sidnet27669 I work from home on Mondays & Fridays. Tuesday - Thursday I am in office, but able to come home during the day as needed. Rio is very friendly and loves company! He will keep your pup entertained during their stay, and have cozy nights in. We ensure the house is always clean and have in-home cameras to keep an eye on things when away.
About: I’ve owned two dogs, including a sweet senior rescue beagle and my current 5-year-old mini Bernese mountain dog! I have experience caring for both older dogs and younger, energetic pups, so I’m comfortable with different ages, personalities, and needs. I’ve also been helping care for my neighbors’ dogs for fun since I was younger, and I figured, why not turn something I already love into a side gig? I’m very used to dog hair, wagging tails, and making sure every pup feels safe, loved, and spoiled! Pet care fits really well into my routine! I work part-time as a lifeguard, but my shifts only take up about 6 hours of my day. Outside of that, I have plenty of time to dedicate to dog care, walks, feeding, playtime, and making sure pets get lots of attention! When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I make it a priority to keep them safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I carefully follow all owner instructions, including feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, medications, and daily routines. I also make sure each pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, and enrichment so they stay happy, engaged, and well-adjusted throughout their care.

Steve is the best. Our slightly special needs rescue needs a gentle but confident hand, and Steve is great with him. He makes sure our old boy gets his medication and food (which he can be quite uncooperative about) and he always takes him on the best walks. We’ve used Steve for boarding and drop-in visits/walks in our home. We know we can trust that he’ll take care of Riley just like we would (or maybe even better!) He’s reliable, communicative, and always sends great pictures, so you’ll always know how well things are going with your furbaby while you’re away!

I almost don’t want to leave a review because I want Tara all to ourselves! It’s very difficult to find a quality/trust worthy dog walker these days, but Tara is surely both! She is extremely detail oriented and follows instructions to a T. She sends TONS of pics and videos with a detailed report card about the visit. It’s clear my pups adore her. They usually take a little while to warm up to strangers but it was love at first site with Tara! She also left the most thoughtful card and puppy cookies. Excited to use her for more walks/visits in the future!

This was my first experience using Rover, and I couldn’t be happier. Cassie was amazing, and I sincerely hope she is always available to walk/board my Labrador when I need her. From our first meeting I could tell she genuinely loves dogs. She is trustworthy, reliable, provides timely communication and was a joy to work with. Rover is very lucky to have her on their team.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
