“This is my second time using Asia as my cat sitter, and this time it was for a whole week. She was amazing once again! I absolutely love the notes she leaves — they’re not only informative but also funny, almost like having a conversation. She sends photos, sometimes even videos, and they always brighten my day. We had a few short chats throughout, which was nice too. I highly recommend her!”

About: I have been an animal lover my whole life, and I have always had cats and dogs in my home. I started pet-sitting for my neighbors in middle-school, and have regularly watched pets for friends as an adult. I currently have two cats and 1 dog. I have had many pets for their entire life-cycle from baby to old age, and I am familiar with the needs and complexities that each stage of life brings. I am currently a stay-at-home mom so I have significant flexibility to my schedule since I do not have outside employment, and I can typically be available as needed. I have a very small fenced in yard for quick potty breaks, but significant green space around my house for dogs to enjoy regular long-walks and playtime.
“Bianca and Charles were amazing pet sitters, and took great care of my cat. They provided great communication and were incredibly flexible. I highly recommend them if you’re looking for someone to take care of your furry loved ones! 🐱”

“Lucy was a wonderful dogsitter! She was very thoughtful and caring with our Binya and kept us updated with photos and notes the whole time we were gone. It was a HUGE relief to know that Binya was being cared for so well. Highly recommended!”

“Alejandra was great. It's been hard to find someone who can pill a cat but she didn't have any issues. Sent me pictures when she was here and generally took great care of my cat.”

“Victoria took great care of my senior kitty Macy! She provided comprehensive feedback on how Macy was doing while I was away and gave me peace of mind. I will definitely book her again.”

“Hieu and Anna were amazing! They took great care of my 2 energetic Australian Shepherds while I was out of town. They were wonderful at communicating and gave me updates. My one dog is scared of the elevator and they were able to get him to go on. My doggies are always excited to see them and I will definitely request their help in the future!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Springfield
Bethany is a superstar in caring for my cat, King! She provided me with daily updates and a photo, and I could tell from the look on his face that he was getting the care (and brushing!) he needed. She told me that he even gave her some "head bumps" which clearly showed how much he liked her.
Lauren was an absolutely amazing sitter for my two cats!! She accommodated me on short notice and was very responsive from start to finish. She made my cats feel very comfortable and even gave them extra attention when they needed it. It is very clear that she is an experienced care taker and put my mind at ease so that we could enjoy our vacation. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs pet care!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Springfield. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
