“Had a last minute change of plans and needed to have someone walk our pup for a couple of days. This was our first time using this service, and Marcela was nothing short of great!”

About: I have been an animal lover my whole life, and I have always had cats and dogs in my home. I started pet-sitting for my neighbors in middle-school, and have regularly watched pets for friends as an adult. I currently have two cats and 1 dog. I have had many pets for their entire life-cycle from baby to old age, and I am familiar with the needs and complexities that each stage of life brings. I am currently a stay-at-home mom so I have significant flexibility to my schedule since I do not have outside employment, and I can typically be available as needed. I have a very small fenced in yard for quick potty breaks, but significant green space around my house for dogs to enjoy regular long-walks and playtime.
“Krysta did a great job taking care of the dogs. I had no doubt of the care they were receiving. She had great communication prior and during the visits. I would use again. Thanks.”

“Katrina was an excellent pet sitter while my family was away for the holidays. She was always very responsive to messages and provided detailed reports on how our cat was doing each day. Would definitely recommend!”

“Kyle is great. My almost 3 year-old golden retriever still has quite a bit of energy and I work a lot so it’s nice to know that I can rely on Kyle to periodically check in on Buddy and let him out if needed. 🙂 Highly recommended!”

“Sonia treated our cats very well! She arrived on time, made sure they ate, and played with them as we had requested. No complaints, and we would absolutely have her catsit for us again!”

“Jennifer took wonderful care of both of my dogs and really gave us peace of mind while recovering. Excellent communication, great with the dogs, punctual, efficient, went above and beyond while watching them, and most importantly caring - my dogs loved her. 100% recommend!!”

“Ella was absolutely amazing with my dog Chewbacca over the weekend! She treated my little boy with so much love, care, and respect the entire time. It gave me such peace of mind knowing he was in such great hands. Chewbacca was so happy and comfortable with her, and you can truly tell she genuinely loves animals. Communication was great, she was very kind, attentive, and went above and beyond. I will 100% be booking with her again in the future. Highly recommend Ella to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to watch their pets!”

“Michelle is so patient with our dog… and me, as a first time Rover user. Our dog has anxiety and is very active. Michelle has worked with her to build trust and comfort. She’s also great with communicating through the app.”

“Allison is fantastic! She provided so many photos and updates for every visit. My kitties were well taken care of. Recommend using Allison for in house visits for any pet. She is so sweet and genuinely cares for animals.”

“10 stars if I could!!! Thank you so much for all your help! At the drop of a dime came and helped out super last minute for a situation! Thank you again, 10/10 support and derive for my cats! Literally saved my cats life! Thank you”
“Alina was absolutely fabulous. I have a quirky pup who can be shy and can also be stubborn. Alina was able to read her personality and won her over from the first day.. My dog says the belly rubs were the best. It can be concerning leaving a pet in the hands of someone else. Alina made everything so easy. She has my highest recommendation. Many thanks to Rover for having angels like Alina on their staff.”

“Nicole was so great with Lucy and my cat Gia! She was great with communication and i’m so thankful she was so flexible when I needed a last minute rover to check in. She took care of everything I needed and provided me a lot of relief when I had to leave Lucy at home for so long.”

“Wow! Ashley was absolutely wonderful! I really appreciated her prompt communications and engagement. We initially had a bit of a scheduling conflict, and because of her communication, we were able to make timing work, and Niue got to spend time with an awesome Rover! Thank you Ashley!”

“Thanks again Hieu and Anna for being so attentive to our pup! Prior to the drop-in, our dog had a stressful experience in the morning that put her on edge for the rest of the day--Hieu and Anna were so great about making sure she felt safe and comfortable. We're so glad to keep working with her new fave aunties!”

Kerry took such great care of our little girl while we were away. She’s very patient with shy kitties, but was able to work her magic and get our girl out. I appreciate her communication and willingness to help bring in packages. Kerry really went above and beyond to help us out when a large delivery arrived ahead of schedule. We will absolutely book Kerry again!

Katrina was awesome! She left me great messages and photos. Even though my cat was so skittish, he never really came out for her, she's still trying to get a picture of him every time so I could see him.. She cleaned up everything when he decided he was going to make a mess. I would highly recommend her and I will use her again.

Emily did a wonderful job dropping in to visit our 2 cats while we were away for a long weekend. She is very responsive and sent detailed updates and photos for each day so I felt assured they were being taken care great care of. Would love to use her again for future trips!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in West Springfield. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
