“Katie is amazing! Super friendly and great with animals. She took care of my cat and bunny we couldn't be happier. My furry little dears loved when she came round and especially enjoyed the extra pets and play time she would have with them! When I need someone to watch my pets again I will definitely go with Katie.”

“Dana is fabulous and my baby SweetPea loved her time with her. The pictures Dana took of her were just amazing and I'm so happy I picked her to take care of my baby. I look forward to Dana taking care of my SweetPea weekly going forward :) I couldn't be happier and feel at ease knowing my baby girl is being so well taken care of by the awesome Dana!!”

“Doreen is an amazing Sitter. I have a very skittish cat… that not even my Mom has been able to get to come out. My cat came out every day for Doreen. Doreen is absolutely special. She is the kind of person you want to care for animals. She treats them like her own. Don’t hesitate.. just book with Doreen. She is amazing.”

“Vivianna did an amazing job watching our two cats and dog within our own home over the holiday weekend. It was easy to see that our pets were happy and well taken care of based on the numerous photos, videos, and updates she provided. Vivanna's visits included walking our dog, and also feeding, playing with and simply interacting with our pets. This gave us huge peace of mind and made it easier to enjoy being away knowing that our smaller family members were in great hands. We highly recommend Vivianna for all of your pets needs!”

“Jackie took amazing care of Tycho during our trip, with highly communicative updates that really gave us peace of mind — especially around the fireworks on July 4th. She went above and beyond, spending extra time with Tycho to help him feel safe and calm, and giving him lots of extra cuddles. We could not have asked for better care, and we’re so grateful to have found such a thoughtful, reliable sitter! Highly recommend!”

“Romy was amazing with my 19yo minpin, Tex. She followed his involved routine and med needs. I received pictures and great updates also. It was so nice to be able to take a few days and not worry because he was on kind, gentle and experienced hands.”

“Christine was so great and flexible with our senior pup. He had an unexpected health issue right before she left and she was great administering meds last minute and keeping us updated. Would highly recommend!”
“Alyssa was great with our cat! She was able to help out on short notice over the holidays, and then really saved us when our flight was cancelled. We would be happy to have Alyssa look after our cat again!”

“If you are looking for an amazing and caring Petsitter-Ana is your go to person! She is super sweet and great at communication. She took care of my diabetic cat while I was at work. Always on time, always leaves detailed notes about the visit, always makes sure that pet(s) get attention and pets!”

About: I have 13 years of experience, caring for dogs and cats. I owned and cared for my German Shepherd dog for a wonderful 13 years before she passed away. I love dogs of all sizes and I feel comfortable around all breeds. I am a former finance professional who left corporate and I am now retired early. I would love to walk your dog or take care of your pet. I am retired and my days are very open to take care of your pet. My main goal is to spend time with your pet and take them for a walks. I cannot have pets of my own because my husband is allergic to everything furry. I cannot care for pets in my own home, but I am happy to care for them in your home. I will play with your dog, take them for a walk, feed them, administer medication, and spend time with them. Most dogs love me and I am comfortable around any breed including German Shepherd, Doberman, Boxer, etc.
“Ray answers in a timely fashion and is highly communicative. I had unforeseen scheduling conflicts to which she adapted and remained flexible. I appreciate her understanding and willingness to care for my puppy!”

About: I’ve had over 10 years of hands on experience caring for my own dog, including providing special care for her in her later years. That experience taught me patience, attention to detail, and how important it is to treat every pet with love and understanding. I truly love dogs! They bring me genuine happiness, and I treat every dog like they’re my own. While I may be new to pet walking professionally, I’m committed to earning your trust by providing dependable, attentive, and compassionate care every time. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I’m available most days and can be flexible with timing, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends. I enjoy staying active, so walks and spending time with dogs is something I genuinely look forward to. I’m reliable and will make sure your pet gets the time, attention, and care they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. I take the time to understand each dog’s routine, personality, and needs to make sure they feel secure and cared for. I’m attentive on walks, keep a close eye on surroundings, and follow all instructions you provide. I’ll also keep you updated so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands.
“Janette was absolutely fantastic! She took such good care of my cat during Christmas, and I couldn’t be more thankful for her attention to detail and love for my kitty. She easily gave him his medicine, scooped his litter every day, and was VERY communicative with me the whole time! She sent so many pictures…you can’t find a better sitter! Book Janette if you want ZERO worries for your little ones while you’re away🙂.”

About: I have been a high school teacher for 26 years. I dog-sit for my friends and sister all the time, and even for my friend's cat sometimes too! I also used to dog-sit for my parents' dog for 2-3 months while they were away over the winters, but unfortunately Mollie passed away a few years ago. She was 17 and we spoiled her! I grew up with dogs (poodles) and I love animals so I thought this would be a fun way to earn extra money! I really enjoy dog sitting, and have been doing this for about 9 years now and I look forward to meeting your pup! I work full time and am away from my home from 7:15-3:30 during the week. Weekends I am either home or in and out throughout the day, but have plenty of time in the evenings or on the weekends to go for long walks with the dog or even a hike if they are up for it! I usually take the dogs for about 3-4 walks a day, usually at least one longer walk! I also can relax and sit on the couch with the dog too, and give lots of belly rubs, of course!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Hayfield
Delina is wonderful! She took my booking on short notice and had to followed detailed instructions to care for my cat who just had a surgery. She came on time and administered medication and monitored just as I requested. She provided detailed updates on his condition. Highly recommend!
Abel checked in on our cat, Boushy, while we were out of town. He was really easy to communicate with and took excellent care of our Boushy. He also shared very cute pictures with us and we could tell that our cat really liked him. Will absolutely be asking Abel to check in on Boushy again in the future! 😊

Once again Sweeta comes through with superb caretaking of our stay-inside cat, Hugo. He gets lots of loving when she visits and never has to worry about food, water, or other problems rising when we are gone. With her attention and care, I'm not sure Hugo notices we are gone. I think he encourages us to make short trips so he can visit with Sweeta again (smile). Seriously, she's a great help!

I had a wonderful experience with McKenna! I was away traveling, and it gave me such peace of mind knowing my pets were being well cared for. She was dependable, attentive, and kept me updated, which I really appreciated. It was clear that my pets were comfortable and well taken care of while I was gone. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their pets. I will absolutely request her service again!

Alyssa is just the absolute best. It is such a wonderful peace of mind when we’re out of town to know our two fur babies are in such wonderful hands. Alyssa has watched our tabbies every time we have been out of town and I can’t recommend her highly enough!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
