“Lenny checked in with our two cats once a day for 2 weeks and we are so thankful for her. The girls seemed relaxed, well taken care of and happy when we got home. One day seemed a little tough on them and Lenny stayed way past her time to show them the love they needed. She kept us updated on everything and send lots of pictures which was much appreciated. Thank you so much!”

She has provided weekly drop ins for a couple of months and one long overnight stay so far, which she extended a night on short notice for us. “Rockstar Rover!! Frank is the only one I trust with my medically needy almost-senior cat. Opal took his meds easier from him than he does from me (his mom!) and he purred more for Frank than he has for me in a while. 10/10!!”

About: I’ve had and loved pets my entire life! (I was convinced I was going to be a vet until I realized I would very likely sob every time a pet got sick.) From my black lab, Raven, to my cats Lily and Langston, to now, my long-haired chihuahua, Midge, animals are just a part of the day-to-day! Since age 12, I’ve been petsitting for friends, family, and neighbors (including overnight stays) and cared for dogs who are super energetic, playful, and independent to dogs who experience some anxiety and might need a bit more attention❤️! I also have experience caring for a bit older doggos. My black lab, Raven, lived to 16 and as her mobility and needs changed, I changed with her and it really taught me to be very attentive, gentle, and adaptive to a pets needs. I’m comfortable and experienced with walking, feeding, brushing, playtime, litter boxes, and loving and attention when pets want or need it❤️! So whether your pet is super energetic and playful or just wants a calm, reassuring companion, I’m happy to match their vibe and energy and make them feel loved and at home☺️🐾! I’m a rising junior at Virginia Tech and home for the summer, working part-time as a server in the Fort Hunt/Hybla Valley area. I have a super flexible schedule and lots of free time to spend with your pets, so I’m available for walks, drop-ins, overnight stays, or whatever else your pet might need😊! Mainly, I care for pets in the comfort of their own home with walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays! I make sure to stick to their routine, make sure they get plenty of playtime, attention, and exercise (or just hang out if that’s more their style!) I don’t usually host pets in my home, but I’m super flexible and want to make sure your pet feels happy and loved, and I’ll always make sure to send updates and pics📸🫶!
“Was flexible when there was an issue with booking of dates and communicative with us. Appreciate the photos and the care given to our sweet babes. I would recommend her services and use her again! Thank you!!”

About: With my current job at a pet resort i’ve gained experience caring for dogs of all ages, weight, and personality. Me and my coworkers at work are responsible for taking them out, cleaning up after them, enrichments and taking them out so they can do their business. Andie was a terrific cat sitter for my kitties. She communicated well throughout and followed my instructions. Although not all my kitties are happy to interact with people they don’t know, Andie did her best to be report on each one. It was very reassuring to have her taking care of them!!

Our thanks to Eve for once again providing the best care to our pet! From the very beginning, our pet was comfortable with Eve, and it is obvious from her daily pix that our pet trusts her and is glad for her company when we are away. Eve is flexible, patient, and answers requests that are over and above her duties: we are grateful for her assistance to us!

Bella was fantastic! We contacted her last minute because we needed help with giving medication to one of our kitties. She was able to come same day. We did a video call and I walked her through everything. We definitely will be using her again and if we loved the photos she sent of the kitties. It was clear that she loves animals.

If you are looking for an amazing and caring Petsitter-Ana is your go to person! She is super sweet and great at communication. She took care of my diabetic cat while I was at work. Always on time, always leaves detailed notes about the visit, always makes sure that pet(s) get attention and pets!

I had yet another flight failure and didn't make it home. The airlines string us along until last minute, so when I reached out to Lori at almost 9 pm, I was so grateful she was willing to as another visit to my cats. And as I was languishing in rebooting purgatory with everything's else at La Guardia, I was cheered up with the pictures of my cats which were sent within the hour. (She takes great pictures). I highly recommend Lori--its just great peace of mind when she is watching my cats.

Lenny checked in with our two cats once a day for 2 weeks and we are so thankful for her. The girls seemed relaxed, well taken care of and happy when we got home. One day seemed a little tough on them and Lenny stayed way past her time to show them the love they needed. She kept us updated on everything and send lots of pictures which was much appreciated. Thank you so much!

Sarah stopped in for a practice visit before taking care of our 2 cats for an upcoming weekend. She asked all the right questions especially for things we overlooked. We never go away from our babies but now we can feel secure that Sarah will treat them like her own.

Juan was very kind and sweet with our cats. he came for a meet and greet as this was the first time he took care of our two cats. He even hand fed one their daily medicine as she's a little finicky. Would ask Juan to care for our cats again. This was our first time using Rover.

Frank was wonderful, again. Drawing out my cat when I swear he won't come out at all. And getting a great picture of Toulouse in Frank's shoes. Frank provides such great updates and photos, even when I'm gone just 36 hours. I know Toulouse is well looked after.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
