“Sarah did a great job. The cats were fed per schedule. She is clearly a cat person as one of the cats that never comes out when the strangers are in the house, came out to check her out. We are happy with her service and will schedule again.”

“Kiara was am amazing dog-sitter for my crotchety old pup. She went above and beyond expectations, giving him lots of love and attention. She also worked hard to clean up after him and keep his area comfortable. We will definitely be hiring her again!”

About: I always lived in a house with dogs or cats. I’ve taken care of dogs large and small. I worked as a volunteer with therapy horses in middle school as a sidewalker and groomer. Additionally have taken care of chickens and rats from a young age. I am often times pet sitting a special needs (blind) greyhound. I currently am working a part time jobs where I build my own schedule. I am a dance teacher who leaves early in the morning for morning classes and then am usually free in the afternoons for the rest of the day. I am often able to add extra tasks in my day with this flexibility. I treat other people’s space with respect. Will clean up any mess/debris right away. I will keep your fur baby company and can provide much enrichment and love.
“Bella was fantastic! We contacted her last minute because we needed help with giving medication to one of our kitties. She was able to come same day. We did a video call and I walked her through everything. We definitely will be using her again and if we loved the photos she sent of the kitties. It was clear that she loves animals.”

About: I have taken care of a variety of animals throughout my life. I showed farm animals in my youth and always had plenty of dogs at home. I love the puppy and young adult stage in dogs, and have a major soft spot for the old timers. I currently have a two beagles and we spend lots of time playing and walking outside. I work a full time job, but work from home often. Depending on the week, I can be available for some combination of evening, lunch, and morning check ins/walks. Sundays are available as well for similar services. I am a big believer in the letter of the law when it comes to caring for a pet in your home or on a walk. I want to be able to deliver maximum peace of mind for you and your pooch. If you have any concerns about anxiety, let me know and I can make sure that we are on the same page about ways to combat it.

“Jeana is super flexible and great with puppies too! She left our home cleaner than we found it, and we’re grateful to have found her. Also a phenomenal pup photographer if you’re looking for that kinda thing!”

“Outstanding pet sitter! You can tell he genuinely loves animals. He genuinely cares making sure your furry little friend feels safe at home while you're away sending plenty of updates to give you peace of mind. Highly recommended and my wife and I will continue to use Frank again the next time we have to leave town!”

“Andrea does a great job with my Ziggy- I feel at ease knowing he has someone to get some love and attention and playtime with while I’m away. She also brings in my mail and leaves everything exactly how I left it, I’m so glad I switched from my old pet service and found Andrea!”

“Katie was very helpful in caring for my cat, Fidel, during the holidays. It was my first time using rover and an overall positive experience. She communicated well, and went above and beyond to provide him with care.”

About: Hi, I’m Angel! With experience working and volunteering at animal shelters and Dog Daycares, I’m a responsible and attentive caregiver who will treat your pets like my own. Your pets happiness and well-being are my top priorities! Updates and photos are included in every service for your peace of mind. When you leave your pet with me, you can rest assured they’re in loving, capable hands. As a substitute teacher (who is now out for the summer!) I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to be available for pet care on weekdays and weekends, 24/7. Whether it’s early morning walks, midday check-ins, or overnight stays, I can adjust my availability to meet your pet’s needs. My priority is ensuring they receive the attention, care, and companionship they deserve, no matter the time of day! When caring for pets in my client’s home, I prioritize their comfort, routine, and well-being. I follow all instructions closely, from feeding schedules to exercise needs, and ensure they feel safe and loved while their owner is away. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or (consensual!) cuddle sessions, I tailor my care to each pet’s personality and preferences. I also keep the home clean, respect the space, and provide regular updates (including pictures) so owners can feel at ease knowing their pet is safe and sound.
“Such an absolutely amazing sitter! I trusted her with my cat and got nothing but wonderful updates and pics throughout the weekend. Thank you so much Robin! I’ll absolutely book with her again!”

About: I currently have a 2 1/2 year old pug named Alfie. Love going for walks and playing with pups. Have spare time that I can dedicate to giving pets the attention and exercise that they need and deserve. Very attentive and enjoy being outside and living an active lifestyle. But if a dog doesn’t like activity as much I also enjoy cuddling and giving belly rubs inside the house as well. If you’re looking for someone to love your pet and care for them the way you personally would I am the right person for your dog walking or overnight stay needs. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have about your pet! Weekends are the best availability for me. I do have some availability in the mornings to check on animals and go for walks as well. I am willing to visit the pets home to care for them if they are more comfortable staying in their own space. Pets are also welcome in my home if they are good with another dog and comfortable being somewhere new.
About: I am full-time working from home now, so since I’ve got some extra time I would love to take care of your dog! We have a dog, cat, and 1 year old baby here but would love to have someone else over to play. We have a large fenced in back yard, perfect for running around or relaxing in the sun. I would also love to pick your dog up and take it on a walk. I am available all day at home. We love dogs, have relied on Rover sitters a lot, and would love to help you out! Please let me know if you would like to come for a meet and greet! Our lives have revolved around our pets for many years. Taking care of them is the first thing we do when we wake up and they are top of mind all day long. Our dog enjoys spending a lot of time outside, but if your dog wants to shadow me that’s great too! I am happy to accommodate any care requirements

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Hybla Valley
Lenny is great! She is my go to sitter for cats/dogs (5 total) every time we are out of town. This time it was just 2 cats as we took dogs with us but she did everything according to instructions and even went above and beyond when asked to water plants outside. Always, can rely on her for my animals to be well taken care off!

I couldn’t be happier with the care Kaitlyn provided! She did an absolutely amazing job and made the entire experience completely stress-free. She was reliable, attentive, communicative, and clearly put a lot of care into making sure everything was taken care of while I was away. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, dependable, and caring sitter. I will definitely be reaching out to her again in the future. Thank you so much!

This is our third time that Kathryn has taken care of our sweet Angel. She is truly the best and goes above and beyond with updates and letting us know how our kitty is doing. We have had a stress-free trip thanks to her. We would recommend her a thousand percent. We know our kitty cat adores her too!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hybla Valley. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
