“Carrington is amazing with cats! My cat has CKD and requires medication and special care, and Carrington handled great. She was attentive to every detail, followed all instructions carefully, and kept me updated with photos and messages. Both of my cats loved her.I would absolutely book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter!” ❤️🐾”

“Asia was perfect for checking on our kitty, Kudos, who has recently been through a rough recovery from surgery. She was incredibly patient and caring for a less than willing cat, and kept us well informed of how he was doing. I truly appreciated her efforts while I was reluctantly traveling, she provided a much needed peace of mind!”

“Sarah was an attentive and conscious sitter. She always sent me an update and even got my hesitant cat to play a bit. I felt confident my cat was being well looked after and will be using Sarah's services again.”

“Vivianna did an amazing job watching our two cats and dog within our own home over the holiday weekend. It was easy to see that our pets were happy and well taken care of based on the numerous photos, videos, and updates she provided. Vivanna's visits included walking our dog, and also feeding, playing with and simply interacting with our pets. This gave us huge peace of mind and made it easier to enjoy being away knowing that our smaller family members were in great hands. We highly recommend Vivianna for all of your pets needs!”

“Elysse is amazing! Incredibly flexible with my needs and, more importantly, my dogs needs. I have a senior dog with a laundry list of issues and he did very well under her care. She was very responsive and willing to help more as needed.”
“Jizelle was great with dog sitting for my pup. She was flexible with timing and communicated well. Would definitely recommend Jizelle and will be using her in the future.”

“Kelli did a phenomenal job. She cared for our animals as if they were her own. We were gone for a week and we had zero worries about our animal. We knew Kelli was giving the best care possible. I would highly recommend and will use her again in the future.”

“We currently have a very playful 13 week old puppy and Sweta is amazing with him. This is our very first puppy and we were very nervous of leaving him home alone. We decided to find a dog sitter on Rover. We are so happy that we decided to book with Sweta. Our pup is always happy whenever Sweta checks in on him and I never have to worry because I’m confident that she will take good care of our pup. We’ve booked multiple times with her and she’s always very responsive. She gives updates while she’s with our puppy and would check with me to ask if there is anything else my puppy needs before leaving him alone, which I really appreciate. If this is your first time booking a dog sitter on Rover and you’re looking for an amazing sitter who will take good care of your fur baby, book with Sweta!”

“Thank you Collin for the excellent service!! We will not hesitate to use you again soon for an excellent experience for our dog Rudy. Sincerely, The Miles and Rudy”

“Samantha is a great sitter! I never worry when she is at my house and the cats love her! Run up to her like she was me. Highly recommend her as a sitter. I had a last minute booking and she took care of me. Always flexible and caring. Even noticed that my cats unplugged their automatic feeder and took care of it. I have used her on multiple bookings and will continue to do so. She is my cats favorite sitter!”

“Rachel has been taking care of my Marley twice a week for several months. She always shares photos and a brief message about how he’s doing and what they did and that little extra effort is very comforting. She’s great!”

“Dominique was fantastic. She sent clarifying questions to ensure that she knew exactly what we wanted prior to the start of her visits and send pictures while we were gone. We were very happy with her services and will be using her again.”

“10 stars if I could!!! Thank you so much for all your help! At the drop of a dime came and helped out super last minute for a situation! Thank you again, 10/10 support and derive for my cats! Literally saved my cats life! Thank you”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Franconia
Alyssa is just the absolute best. It is such a wonderful peace of mind when we’re out of town to know our two fur babies are in such wonderful hands. Alyssa has watched our tabbies every time we have been out of town and I can’t recommend her highly enough!

Lauren was fantastic with our cats while we were away for nearly 10 days! She kept us thoroughly updated with regular check-ins, and the cats absolutely adored her visits. She truly went above and beyond—not only did she handle the usual pet messes seamlessly, but she also carefully cleaned up after our cats managed to knock over and break a table lamp. On top of that, she was extremely punctual every single day. We are so relieved to have found someone so trustworthy and caring. Knowing our pets are in such great hands gives us complete peace of mind when traveling. We will definitely be booking Lauren again!

Mariia was amazing with our pets and communicating with us while we were away. Our cat usually takes a bit to warm up, and he came out to meet her immediately. I could tell through the photos that our dog was less stressed every visit. He has anxiety when we leave, so it took a lot of stress off of us to see he was being well taken care of.

Sara was great and clearly very experienced with cats. I can tell Babette loved hanging out with her! Babette is very high energy and Sara played with her a lot and gave great updates/photos. I also appreciate how flexible and responsive she was with scheduling. My flight got delayed a few times and Sara adjusted the schedule for us accordingly.

Rachel was simply fantastic! While I was out of town for a few days, she dropped in a couple times each day on my elderly cat and made sure that he was eating (he’s incredibly picky), watered, brushed, and played with. Her write ups on how each visit went and how my cat was doing were great - really above and beyond any expectation I had. I was able to enjoy my time away - worry free - because Rachel was taking such good care of my cat. I have booked her for my next out of town trip and would highly recommend her.

Michelle was fantastic! Took time to get to know Eloise’s setup and preferences before she started and sent great photos that I got to enjoy while I was away. She was careful and communicative the whole visit and I can tell my cat loved her. Definitely would re-book.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Franconia. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
