“Christine was so great and flexible with our senior pup. He had an unexpected health issue right before she left and she was great administering meds last minute and keeping us updated. Would highly recommend!”
“Seriously the best!! Asia went above and beyond for my cat, changing her water fountain and cleaning and changing her litter box for me, even taking out the trash with litter in it afterwards. She sent a bunch of pictures and took the best care of my girl. 10/10 recommend!!!”

“Lucy was fantastic with my 3 dogs! I had her do a 30 min check-in mid day while I was at work, and she kept in touch with me while at the house, played with my kiddos and sent me pictures. The dogs loooove her! I will definitely book more time with Lucy for my dogs!”

“Birdie and I love Samantha! She’s so friendly and always adaptable when things are last minute which is usually when Birdie and I need help! Lots of love and belly scratches! My girl is so lucky.”

About: I have 13 years of experience, caring for dogs and cats. I owned and cared for my German Shepherd dog for a wonderful 13 years before she passed away. I love dogs of all sizes and I feel comfortable around all breeds. I am a former finance professional who left corporate and I am now retired early. I would love to walk your dog or take care of your pet. I am retired and my days are very open to take care of your pet. My main goal is to spend time with your pet and take them for a walks. I cannot have pets of my own because my husband is allergic to everything furry. I cannot care for pets in my own home, but I am happy to care for them in your home. I will play with your dog, take them for a walk, feed them, administer medication, and spend time with them. Most dogs love me and I am comfortable around any breed including German Shepherd, Doberman, Boxer, etc.
“Elysse did a great job taking care of my cat while I was away. She was very communicative and sent frequent updates, including photos and sweet little notes about how my cat was doing. It was so reassuring to know he was in good hands.”

“Rachel was very responsive in scheduling the visits for my cats. She was on time and did a great job. I can back and everything was well looked after. Thank you!”

About: Neighbors and friends/family have trusted me with their fur-family members and I have cared for a variety of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I have also aided my own doggo through a seizure and helped transport him to the ER. I am currently a full time college student, however, I have many breaks and a flexible schedule that would be perfectly occupied by caring for your furry friend! I will always follow provided directions carefully and closely in regards to your fur-family member and will contact you beforehand if I have any questions/concerns. All in all, I treat every animal I come across as my very own because I know that’s how I would want my own doggo to be treated <3
“Reagan was an excellent and caring sitter who paid great attention to Dutchess and made sure she was comfortable with a stranger in the house. Will absolutely look to book her again!”

“Alyssa was wonderful taking care of our kitty Vester while we were away. During this time our liter box had issues and Alyssa took time to make sure it was working properly. She fed, play, wrote update status, and took lots of pictures to show us that Vester was doing great while we were out.”

“Jeana was so kind and communicative! I can tell that Lola absolutely loved her by the big smile on her face in every photo she took. I will definitely be requesting to book again. :)”

“We currently have a very playful 13 week old puppy and Sweta is amazing with him. This is our very first puppy and we were very nervous of leaving him home alone. We decided to find a dog sitter on Rover. We are so happy that we decided to book with Sweta. Our pup is always happy whenever Sweta checks in on him and I never have to worry because I’m confident that she will take good care of our pup. We’ve booked multiple times with her and she’s always very responsive. She gives updates while she’s with our puppy and would check with me to ask if there is anything else my puppy needs before leaving him alone, which I really appreciate. If this is your first time booking a dog sitter on Rover and you’re looking for an amazing sitter who will take good care of your fur baby, book with Sweta!”

“Dana is a rare gem find!!! Trustworthy reliable and great communication. I have two dogs she walks together who no matter how much training we do always act like they’ve never been outside of leashes before. One is aggressive relative the other is easily overly excited. She handles them like an absolute champ and I know they are always safe in her hands!”

“Jackie is awesome! She is extremely caring and was very responsive. Our dog is very shy and anxious, but Jackie instantly earned her trust. 10/10 would recommend Jackie!”

“5 stars all around!! From updating me with photos and nice messages, to keeping the place clean (litter boxes included), there was no stress for me to leave my babies with Shelby!! Amazing, kind, and patient. 10/10 WILL recommend & definitely rebook again! Thanks shelby <3”

“Tara brought Connor and Sterling out of their shells very quickly. They are normally quite shy around new people, but they took to her at once. I had special dental needs for them both and she made sure they were attended to. It's always good to come back to happy, well-fed cats, and that is exactly what Tara made happen.”

“Becca (Elvia goes by Becca) was so great!! She was flexible with our drop in needs and provided plenty of great updates. She also fed our pup while we were out! Would highly recommend using Becca!”

Once again Sweeta comes through with superb caretaking of our stay-inside cat, Hugo. He gets lots of loving when she visits and never has to worry about food, water, or other problems rising when we are gone. With her attention and care, I'm not sure Hugo notices we are gone. I think he encourages us to make short trips so he can visit with Sweeta again (smile). Seriously, she's a great help!

I had a wonderful experience with McKenna! I was away traveling, and it gave me such peace of mind knowing my pets were being well cared for. She was dependable, attentive, and kept me updated, which I really appreciated. It was clear that my pets were comfortable and well taken care of while I was gone. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their pets. I will absolutely request her service again!

This was my first time booking with Caroline, and I couldn’t have had a better experience! I felt completely comfortable leaving my animals in her care and genuinely didn’t worry about them at all while I was away. I came home to very happy, well-cared-for pets, and I’m beyond appreciative of everything Caroline did for them. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Franconia. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
