“Shelby is great!! She is communicative and lets us know all the details of her visit with our baby. We also love the pictures - never can get enough! We highly recommend Shelby!”

“Ayme is a conscientious and attentive pet sitter who stays and gives your animals attention. She sends pictures every day, and she is willing to take care of other small chores like taking out the trash. She is wonderful -- we love her, and so do our cats!”

“Mellissa is trustworthy, dependable, prompt, communicative, and affectionate. She was patient, kind, and caring to my two dogs (one is a 5-month-old puppy who is still potty training). Melissa went above and beyond to care for my dogs. She took them for walks, replaced their pee pads, supplied new food, drink, and treats, and played with them. I enjoy reading Melissa's notes and pictures, which she shares after each visit. Melissa is an amazing pet sitter, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter.”

“Andrew is amazing with Ariel. It is great to have someone I trust to take so good care of my fur child. I appreciate the responsiveness and follow up. Super recommend Andrew for dog walks, drop ins, etc”

“Trent did a great job taking care of my two cats with just a couple of days notice. He was very easy to work with, easy to communicate with, and is obviously a pet lover. Would definitely work with him again.”

“Evelyn is fantastic! We did a quick meet and greet with my pup and I knew she would be in good hands. Evelyn loves dogs and she is so sweet with my dog Fern! We are so happy to have found Evelyn!”

“Many thanks, Samantha! So grateful we connected here. She’s been so good to and with my dog. He’s a grumpy old guy but she’s won him over :). She’s been great at keeping us in the loop with updates and pics, responsive to what he’s in the mood for (eg walk v hanging in the yard) and keeping an eye on how he’s doing. Really appreciate her working us into her schedule as we quickly became one of her regular clients. Highly recommend Samantha!”

About: I’ve worked at a doggie day care for 3 years. This included walking, bathing, playing and watching. I have 3 family dogs that I help take care of with one of them going to college with me. “Bianca and Charles were amazing pet sitters, and took great care of my cat. They provided great communication and were incredibly flexible. I highly recommend them if you’re looking for someone to take care of your furry loved ones! 🐱”

“Janet was great. She did everything we asked, stayed in touch as she cared for our brood (and would have sent a photo if they hadn't disappeared), and left the place nice and tidy. We'd love to use her again!”

About: Hey, friends! Welcome to Waggin' & Walkin'. I've had many types of animal family members in my life. From dogs and cats to a ferret and a guinea pig! I've also volunteered at the Rota Animal Welfare League while stationed in Spain. My duties included feeding, cleaning the grounds, and spending time with my furry pals. There's no doubt that your dog will be in great hands. Whether it's feeding them, walking them or simply relaxing with them to ensure they're comfortable, I'll be there when you can't to ensure they're good to go 💯👍. I have a really great schedule which will allow me ample time to take care of your pets needs. My typical work schedule is from 6am-2pm so any time after that I can assist. From walking to pet sitting, I'll ensure they are loved and cared for so you can relax and focus on what you need to do. As of now I plan to perform the following services: Dog walks, Pop-ins and pet sitting at the client's home. I might add Boarding in the future. When you're not home I will do all tasks that you require to ensure your loved pet is nourished, interacted with and feels safe & happy.
“Michael did a great job looking after our dogs and cats. We were gone for two weeks and he was very reliable and responsive the whole time. We were confident everyone was very well taken care of and didn’t have to worry about them while we were away. We will definitely ask Michael to watch everyone again in the future!”

We love having Yan come take care of our cats while we’re away! This is the second time we booked her and we will definitely book in the future. She sends us updates with funny and cute photos of our cats and you can tell by her report that she really spends time with them and knows their personalities. It makes such a huge difference to know our cats are well taken care of while we’re away.

Joshua was so amazing with my furbabies! I have ring cameras and could see how calm he was around them and did everything perfectly! Would highly recommend!!! Incredibly responsive, professional and caring. And he was a total lifesaver with a last minute booking!!! 10000000000000% satisfied customer.

Ni was available on short notice and did an amazing job caring for my two cats. She only had 4 visits, but both cats ended up curling up with her, so that's the best review I can give! She shared tons of photos documenting her visits and the cat's moods. She clearly read my notes because she took both actions I suggested to make the cats comfortable. This was my first Rover experience, and Ni made me feel comfortable and confident so I could enjoy my trip.

Victoria is deeply empathetic with pets and is fantastic with my cat. She always makes me feel at ease when I’m away - I know that when she’s looking after my cat, he is in the very best of hands and always has a great time with her. She takes awesome photos and sends the perfect level of detail in her visit notes! Best sitter ever!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bristow. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
